If you are talking about the PS3 version of Skyrim you are only correct if you have auto save activated. When you start the game on the PS3 loading times are only a few seconds however once the save files exceed 6MB loading times take considerably longer.
Turning off the auto-saves is IMHO essential after the saves exceed 6MB however this may not suit everyone so those that don't do this have to put up with longer and longer saves (in some places the games freezes for 20 ...
You are right if you have a high end PC with a decent monitor, graphics card, CPU and hard disk(s). People who post on this forum have PC's of some sort so you are not telling us something we don't know.
When the Wii was first brought out I was actually told by some of the girls in the organization I worked for that they will loose weight because of this "marvellous machine". I was quite polite in my reply but basically I said that if you really want to loose weight then you need to be genuine in doing so and the Wii will not do that for you, although as a tool it can help.
Most of the girls did not believe me but later I was proved right.

It is very easy to farm souls in the dark root garden, however I always prefer to go "hollowed" because this area normally gets quite allot of PvP since you not only have the Dark Wraiths but the Forest Hunters as well as other factions.
Normally when I farm souls I only level up to between 15 and 20 although I am usually that when I get there, then I just purchase materials. Any loss of souls is not a big deal although the loss of...
While I don't have a PS4 yet I am waiting for the Witcher 3 to come out and hopefully there will be a bundle that is attractive. Of course the bundle would not only have to have The Witcher 3 but also Bloodborne as well and if possible Dark Souls 2 and/or Dragon Age - Inquisition.
Now the problem becomes what to do about some of my PS3 games which I am still having a great time playing. Good grief I still have PS2 games that I would not mind replaying and I do have a BC ...
I am going to disagree with you on this.
If you are like me and prefer Action/Adventure RPG's or just RPG's then you would know how long some of these games take to play and with say 4 to five games this could be enough to last you many months to the exclusion of the other consoles so it becomes rather pointless and expensive to own them all.
I think it would be a simple matter of just picking a console that has or will have the games you like and wil...
Difficult to say from seeing a few pictures, however in "Last Hope" I really could not get to like the central character (sort of like Final Fantasy 8) although he does improve.
It is very difficult describing the so called "anime look" and even the cell-shading look. Personally I don't mind the Star Ocean pictures so we could call this the "anime look" but I have seen some anime's that had terrible drawing styles and others which looked almost photo realistic.
To me what is more important is the game-play which is very subjective and an excellent to reasonable story.
You forgot that Star Ocean 1 came out on the SNES of which you can get an emulator for your PC.
For those that have the PS1 games you most likely know or at least should know that most PS3's will play them. Unfortunately you still need a PS2 or a BC PS3 to play SO2. It may be possible to use the PC PS2 emulator though.
I do have the BC PS3 however it uses software and hardware and there are two areas in the SO2 games that hangs the game. One you can bypas...
I don't have any issue with a remake such as Ratchet and Clank and games like Guitar Hero are easily expandable.
The Dragon Quest, Persona and Star Ocean games are sort of like Final Fantasy games in that each game has different characters and plot lines with the exception being the "-2" (definitely liked FF13-2) and -3" add-ons. These games IMHO are normally very much different from each other with only the game name number being different.
I know that Crono Trigger had multiple endings however I found that the game while very good tended to get IMHO a bit boring after 10 to 20 hours of game-play. I actually preferred Secret of Mana and even the Secret of Evermore over Crono Trigger.
Personally I would prefer new IP over a remake.
Assuming the digital download is the same size 35GB is quite a bit of data to download. Still if you have a fast internet and a large monthly cap or unlimited then there won't be a problem although it will take some time to download.
Me I think I will stick to physical media since installation or even re-installation is relatively fast, much faster than a Digital Download and if you want you can give the game to a friend or even sell it. If you don't mind waiting you ...
@Bolts
The PS4 and the XB1 fall within the high end of a so called medium PC platform. Basically all PC game developers want their company to make money and when you look at any PC game you will see minimum requirements. I am quite sure the specs of the PS4 and the XB1 are well over the minimum requirements of most modern PC games.
Designing a PC game for high-end PC's only is a sure way of not making much money.
I don't mind turn-based, active turn-based and real time which can almost be considered active turn-based. What can get annoying (at least for me) is to be put into a battle arena which "sort of" resembles the area the protagonists are in and all of the Final Fantasy (exception is FF12) are like that.
This is not to say the battle arena is bad it is just I prefer a game that when you fight you don't move to a battle arena.
I think if I remem...
For now but copyright owners are pushing for more and more control and that means suing the so called illegal down-loader even though that person would never have made the purchase in the first place.
If enough people don't pay for or pirate DLC software then the software companies will have to rethink their strategies like a certain company found out to their loss when they tried to force "always on-line".
As for DLC characters I fully agree wi...
Lets be honest here, most people are selfish to various degrees. As for consuming power most people are only concerned with how much it costs them.
Few people even know how to pick electrical products that in the long term use less power. In Australia we have kW/year and a star rating which IMHO is broken, still people would purchase a cheaper product without attempting to calculate energy usage over the possible life of the product.
It does not matter what the source of your power is, it really boils down to how much you consume and how much does it cost you.
If it costs you nothing then someone else must be paying for it since it is not free. Before you say "solar" someone has to pay for the array and possibly it's installation.
Seems to work fine via Chrome which in turn is running on the latest version of Linux (Fedora distribution).
A combined Bluray/DVD reader/writer has two optical heads, one for DVD/CD and the other for Bluray. While I have never seen a Bluray only reader/writer in the future you may get them.
The price of an internal and even an external Bluray/DVD reader/writer has dropped dramatically in the last two years although a DVD reader/writer is still cheaper.

>> 1. Customizable controls
Depends on what you are playing the game with. If you are using a controller and depending on the game you can reconfigure the buttons.
>> 2. Graphical and Gameplay Mods
The latest consoles can output to 1080p (1920x1080 pixels) and sure a PC can output to a higher resolution monitor but you still need a decent graphics card, cpu, memory, hard disk(s) .. etc.
