That is subjective. If you are into FPS games then Halo will be for you, however if you prefer Action/Adventure then the Uncharted series will be your preference.

As for "bang for your buck" that really depends on how many hours of enjoyment you can get out of playing a particular game. I definitely liked Uncharted Drake's Fortune and have played it through three times, the last on the hardest difficulty but personally Skyrim is the best so far for me.

Basically Apple is one company while there there are lots of different companies that use the Android OS in their products. That is why it appears to you that a new Android device comes out every month.

In the smartphone market IOS (the Apple operating system) has only 13.9% of the market while Android has 82.8%.

Don't believe me then look at the following URL: http://ww...

True virtual reality is still a pipe dream and will be so until you get a technology that can circumvent the senses and go directly into the brain.

Of course this brings up a myriad of problems both technical and ethical as well.

Like any camera/microphone device the Kinect can only track what it can see and hear. This may be ok for some sports and casual games but games were you have to rapidly select things are still best suited to mouse and keyboard or controller.

Rapid selection in gaming has always been the preferred method to date otherwise the game starts to get boring. The only thing that would possibly be better would to actually have a device that could read your mind and even if there was a...

Well they have Scalebound as an exclusive for next year that will most likely sell some XB1's, but then again how many people purchase a console just to play one game.

You mean the Windows you have in buildings? I did not know that Microsoft was into glazing, well colour me surprised. :-)

Actually the main delay for the PS3 was the Bluray and the HDMI standards which were pretty much a work in progress up to and after the PS3's release.

The PS4 has PC or Intel/AMD architecture, however if you have good development tools then it is possible to hid the so called "metal" from the general programmer. If those same development tools are available for a different architecture it would not be that difficult to develop for.

@Septic

Why should we thank Microsoft for the PS4 being easy to develop for?

You should know that the PS4 does not use Microsoft API's such as Dire...

I sort of agree that some developers don't have the resources or possibly the expertise to develop on a different architecture.

Still many development tools actually do hide the "metal" from the programmer and if designed properly there would not be much of a difference designing for Intel, PowerPC or the Cell chip which is based on PowerPC anyway.

Technology does change and those that slam technology because it is new or different are usually s...

The demonstration was in a controlled environment. In other words I will believe it when I see it and not before.

Want a server farm then how about this:

Two 16 blade server enclosures plus blades. In each blade create 5 to 40 lite virtual machines. Now we have 160 to 1280 servers. Not bad for under $500,000.00. You may need 5 to 10 of these in the USA alone and one per each major hub around the world. Do you honestly think Sony or even Nintendo can't afford this.

Total size of such an enclosure is about the same as a bar fridge. So if we are looking at two think of ...

I think this is the same mentality when Galileo stated that our world revolves around the sun.

From one of his quotes:

"In questions of science, the authority of a thousand is not worth the humble reasoning of a single individual."

Err Crackdown 3 isn't out yet and people are raving over a controlled demonstration which is nowhere near a real world example.

Yes the so called Cloud or Remote IT Services as I knew it over 30 years ago can be useful for certain tasks but it is not a magical solution since there are so many factors out of the vendor's control, the main being the Internet as it stands today.

I do agree with you that it all comes down to opinion.

I think the following says it all "if you don’t enjoy Halo, Gears or Fable, for instance". Of course there is Rise of the Tomb Raider but that is a timed exclusive and I don't think people buy a console for just one game.

For me who likes RPG's, although I am picky, Scalebound is interesting but like I have said before I don't buy a console for just one game and all reviews I have re...

While themes can be a nice feature it should not detract from what is primary the most important part of a gaming machine and that is games.

Lets be honest here how long do you look at a theme compared to playing games?

Yes same here although I do try to limit looking at walkthroughs and only look at the part where I am stuck although it can be hard not to peek ahead.

I am definitely not into cheats such as infinite life or unlimited ammo. On one NES game I did a cheat for infinite ammo which really did not help that much and I am sorry I can't remember the name. I do remember Battle Toads though. Has any one ever finished that game without a cheat?

As for button mashing...

While the Cell was a very good device many developers had a difficult time with it so like "Sunny_D" said Sony played it safe although they did decide on GDDR5 instead of DDR3 which looks like a good call.

Still from what I have read Sony did canvas Developers on what type of hardware they would like keeping in mind that they wanted a machine that was relatively cheap to build yet fairly powerful as well.

The original PS3 did have a full PS2 built in for countries like the US and Japan, however for other countries that used the PAL standard the original PS3's had partial PS2 hardware with the emulation done in software.

You definitely could run a Linux based distribution via the "Other OS" option which was later removed due to security concerns.

As far as which gaming company was/is Evil it depends who you talk to and how much history you are pre...

I am not even going to bother to read most of what you said although you definitely said quite allot.

Please breakdown your comments into shorter paragraphs, it's not that difficult and it makes reading so much easier.

One gigantic paragraph in your next comment is just too much no one except the most determined would want to read that.

Please note I am not critical of your comments but your writing style which could quite easily be fixed...
