From the Wiki:
Scalebound is action role-playing video game developed by PlatinumGames and published by Microsoft Studios for sometime late 2016.
PlatinumGames is a Japan-based independent video game development company.
Having basically quoted that who on this forum thinks that Microsoft did not pay for this game to be exclusive and since the XB1 has not done well in Japan I would think that Scalebound will either not be dubbed in Japanese o...
Initially the Kinect was an integral [art of the XB1 purchase and this forced many people who would have normally purchased a Microsoft console to seriously look at the PS4 which was $100.00 cheaper.
I think the tipping point in favour of the PS4 was Microsoft's almost arrogant attitude to to the "always on" and draconian DRM policies such as no second hand games.
Of course we all know that Microsoft did a 180 degree turn which made the Kinect...
In what way is 8 CPU's @ 1.6GHz weak? If you compare it to say a high end gaming PC it is however the PS4 and the XB1 perform better for what they do than the majority of PC's sold today.
In what way are they weak? Most PC's on the market today don't have the anywhere near the performance of the PS4 or the XB1. High end gaming PC's are not the norm.
From the link in the article:
"Sony on the other hand hasn’t revealed any official numbers regarding the PS4 CPU clock speed. It has been rumored that the clock speed of the PS4 CPU is 1.6ghz with the capability to max out at 2.75 Ghz. However this does not seem to be the case."
It think this depends on the game and the gamer. Some games have little if any replayability while others you keep coming back to.
There are gamer's who only play the latest game and then move on to the next "shiny" without ever considering a replay. Other gamer's, myself included do replay games if they have a replay factor (this is subjective) although I do feel we are in the minority.
As an example I like RPG's and some are what is c...
I would not compare Sunset Overdrive to Infamous and Second Son but to Ratchet and Clank since those games, at least to me have similar game-play.
Note: I have not and probably never will play Sunset Overdrive since I don't have an XB1 or even a PS4 for that matter, however I have seen the videos and I also have played many of the the Ratchet and Clank games.
It depends on what game categories (ie. Genres) you like. Sunset Overdrive as does Ratchet and Clank fall into the Action/Adventure platformer Genres and I personally do like those types of games.
I also like RPG's and to complete games like that requires spending 30 plus hours playing the game with some games over 100 hours. I don't have the time to own multiple consoles so I just pick the one that has the most games (multi platform included) on it that I like. if I...
Looking at the few game-play videos of Sunset Overdrive, to me it looks like a re-skinned Ratchet with less funny comments and without Clank. This is not surprising since Insomniac Games actually make the games.
Personally I do like the Ratchet and Clank series and I do think Sunset Overdrive would be a fun game to play however I would not consider buying a particular console unless it had other games that I was interested in and before anyone pipes up and says Halo, GoW and ...
Personally I would rather have games than social features after all the PlayStation brand is all about games.
Folder support is nice since it allows for more efficient management. As for "Dynamic Themes" that is nice but lets be honest here how long do you look at a theme compared to doing other things like gaming?
IF you already have a PS4 and are running out of disk space then your options are:
a) Remove unneeded games and recover when needed. Physical media is normally the quickest way to do this.
b) Replace your hard disk although I do suggest spending a few extra dollars on a 7200 rpm disk drive.
c) If money is not an issue then buy another PS4 with a larger hard drive.
d) Throw a tantrum until some magical fairy comes along and so...
If you live in countries that supported the NTSC TV standard like the USA the launch PS3's did have full hardware compatibility with the PS2. In all other countries the launch PS3's had a mixture of hardware and software PS2 emulation which gave about 85% to 90% backwards compatibility.
Most of my PS2 games work perfectly on my PAL region launch PS3 however I do have three games out of sixty that actually crash or hang during the game and there are no ways around the ...
Basically if you get a PS4 CUH-1200 model then it is the most energy efficient to date. This has got nothing to do with what size hard drive is installed in the system.
Of course a more energy efficient PS4 is preferable and knowing which model number is very useful, however if you are in the market for a PS4 especially a 1TB model and you are getting it with a good bundle and/or price then you are not really being ripped off. Anyone that would quibble over spending a few ext...
It really is amazing that the PS3 eventually caught up to and surpassed the XBox360 sales, considering the Xbox360 had a one year lead and Microsoft did everything it could to derail the PS3, firstly by halfheartedly supporting HD-DVD, then giving Imersion the precedent of suing Sony on their haptic feedback so that the PS3 could not launch with the dual shock 3.
Looks like you are interested in racing games which is fine by me but personally I am not interested in that type of game, likewise first/third person shooters, although I do like action/Adventure and/or RPG's and even within those categories I can be rather picky.
For me the PS3/PS4 offers the best variety of games however that is subjective. If you like what is offered by the XB1 then I don't have any problems with that, however over 10 million more people appear t...
If you like that game then good but there are people, my self include who don't care for games like tactical/third party shooters and even first party shooters.
For your interest I don't even have a PS4 or XB1 for a variety of reasons and price is not one of them. I will get a PS4 later on after I have finished with the backlog of games I have on my PS3 and since I also have a backwards comparable PS3 I still have a libray of PS1 (all PS3's can play these) and PS2...
Actually the Wii was a rather unusual entry into the 6th generation since it was standard definition only whereas the XBox360 and the PS3 were high definition consoles that could support SD, 720p, 1080i and 1080p.
Basically the Wii should be included in the 5th generation released and in that it definitely did not win although it still did well but not in third party support.
So basically in the 6th generation high definition console sales the PS3 wins but on...
As a Linux user for over 20 years I am definitely no great fan of Microsoft, however if you are a PC gamer you really don't have much choice but to have a PC or Virtual Machine that runs a Microsoft OS.
I am well aware that there is software like Wine which can allow you to play "Games for Windows" although not all of them. Personally I can't be bothered since I have never been a PC gamer preferring console gaming instead.
I have noticed tha...
Most people have no idea what a particular devices UI is until they actually start to use it.
Actually it took me less than 60 seconds to be comfortable with the PS3's UI but then again I am comfortable with most UI's across all operating systems and I don't mean just Microsoft Windows although to be honest I find the MS Windows UI for 8 and now 10 to be the most annoying ones and yes I am well aware you can customise.
As for logging in via facial...
Actually Sony is only one member of the Blu-ray consortium although you are partially right in that Microsoft does actually pay a license fee for their Blu-ray player and some of the proceeds do go to Sony.

Multiplayer in general can be great, however you are always dependent on the servers and the interest of the players.
If a single player game has a multiplayer component then the gamer gets additional value however over time interest in the multiplayer part will wain and eventually it becomes pointless although, you still have the single player part rather than a coaster, assuming you purchased the media. If you have Digital only then that now defunct game is just taking up d...
