Here is the definition of fraud:
In law, fraud is deliberate deception to secure unfair or unlawful gain. Fraud is both a civil wrong (i.e., a fraud victim may sue the fraud perpetrator to avoid the fraud and/or recover monetary compensation) and a criminal wrong (i.e., a fraud perpetrator may be prosecuted and imprisoned by governmental authorities).
So lying to the store that they lost their receipt is a deliberate act of deception which is considered fraud...
Fraud - In law, fraud is deliberate deception to secure unfair or unlawful gain.
There is more but basically fraud was committed. What is even more amazing is that the store fell for it. Normally to return goods you need a receipt and if you state that you lost it then it is up to the individual store if they give you a refund, but they should have taken down the person's particulars.
If those people sold their unwanted product on say eBay then there sho...
I have never been much for multi-player and at the moment I don't have a PS4 for a variety of reasons and price is not one of them.
The only multi-player games I have played are the souls series and I actually did like the multi-player component although you could play the series without multi-player. On the PS3 most on-line access is free but this is not the case with on-line multi-player on the PS4.
For those people who have a PS4 or thinking of gettin...
A keyboard and mouse also works although the idea of a keyboard adaptor integrating with the controller is not new. A similar product was also made for the PS3, see the following URL: http://us.playstation.com/p...
Has anyone tried one and what do you think of it?
Like it or not most game developers are in the business of making money so they normally target the demographic that will give maximum return on game sales and that means mid range PC's and Consoles.
Yes it is possible to design a game that could overwhelm the current generation consoles. In fact it is possible to design a game that could overwhelm any PC for that matter but as a business who could you sell that game too?
Developing a game that can only w...
Are you really sure there are 80 million Xbox360 owners? Many Xbox360's suffered the RROD and even though Microsoft did repair/replace them many dedicated gamer's did buy more than one.
The Xbox360 did exceptionally well in the USA and the UK which wasn't that surprising although it didn't do nearly as well in Asia and Europe where the PS3 dominated.
Personally I don't think Microsoft has any chance of beating the PS4 in most of the world....
It will be interesting to see if this game follows the first season of Anime/Manga. If it does you won't have magic although you will have what is called Sword Arts which can be loosely likened to weapon magic.
Personally I would like to see a game based on Log Horizon which IMO had a better story and more interesting characters. SoA was still a good anime though.
No one forced you to buy a PS4. Do you honestly expect Sony, Nintendo or Microsoft to pander to your requirements.
Personally I am still waiting for my flying car.
The PS4 camera was always an optional peripheral however originally the Kinect was supposed to be an integral part of the so called XB1 experience and could not be removed. Well we all know how that panned out.
Basically the six axis and the touch pad are both under utilised, however at least they are available for developers if they wish to incorporate them into games.
A touch pad could be uses to select items from a menu such as what you may get in an RPG. Even an FPS game could benefit although a mouse and keyboard (if supported) would most likely be the better option. Still like I have said before the options are there however it is up to the developers to use them.
You can get a USB to micro USB 5m cable for about $5.00 that will do the job or just raid your piggy-bank to purchase a second controller. Swapping over controllers and plugging in the discharged one for charging takes approximately 30 seconds or is that too much time taken out of your valuable gaming session.
The DS4 has by default a 1000mAh battery and like you have said it is very easy and cheap to replace that battery with a 1800mAh one. The trouble with that it really is buyer beware since there are some rip-off's out there.
As for the PS3 battery life being rubbish. I get anything from 10 to 15 hours of gaming and it is not a big deal to recharge (I can even use the USB port on my HDTV even when on standby).
The DS3 and I also assume the DS4 will give you...
Five to seven hours of battery life is reasonable although that does depend on the game. Of course the PS3 DualShock battery is ten to fifteen hours but it doesn't have all the features a DS4 has.
## I just keep it plugged in because it runs out of battery so quickly.
While I don't have a PS4 yet for a variety of reasons and cost is not one of them I call BS on this. As for the light it has been said many many times from reliable sources that it hardl...
For consoles that can display up to 1080p you also have to consider the PS3 and XBox360 which when added together are over 160 million. If you only take this generation which is the PS4, XB1 and the WiiU then you get approximately 57 million.
No matter how you want to fiddle the statistics there are a huge number of consoles out there that can display up to 1080p.
@Dynasty2021
>>34% of 125 million is 40 million people. Your precious console sold that much? Nope.
Well if you take into account the numbers of PS3, PS4, Xbox360, XB1 and the WiiU sold then how does 56 million this generation and over 160 million last generation. Even assuming say only 34% are being used that is still over 73 million that have consoles that can display up to 1080p.
I conveniently forgot about the 100 or so million Wii ...
I suggest you look at the following URL: https://en.wikipedia.org/wi...
I had a HDMI 1.2 cable with worked fine on a 720p HDTV. When I eventually got a 1080p HDTV that same cable was useless when displaying 1080p from my PS3 so I went and splurged $6.00 for a 2m HDMI V1.3 cable.
If you have or are thinking of getting a 4k TV or monitor then you should consider HDMI V2.0 and above.
Running a game at say 1080p (1920x1080 pixels) or as it is sometimes known 2k (assuming an aspect ratio of 16:9) is fairly understandable since it is very easy for novices to get acceptably cheap monitors that are 1080p from stores that sell computers.
Note: The wording I used above. A good computing store will have good monitors a "stores that sell computers" may only sell acceptably cheap 1080p monitors.
Of course a gamer would know that you can g...
At some stage a hard disk will fail. The warning signs are longer loading and reads before you have catastrophic failure.
If you suspect you have a hard disk problem there are software tools for the PC that can help you although you do need to have some technical expertise in interpreting the test results.
A rule of thumb for any hard disk that is used more than 5 hours a day is to look at replacing it every two to four years. You can do this religiously whic...
The YLOD was/is a problem with the PS3, that indicated that it was overheating. Basically the fix was to open up the PS3, remove the old heat sink compound and apply a good quality one. Total cost is a few dollars and about 30 minutes to an hour of your time (the first time takes the longest). The Web is your best friend if you want to do this yourself.
Pretty much all electronic equipment including PSC's that have heat sinks in them will get a thermal overload eventually...
No it is not hate on the XBone (your word, I normally use XB1), most people here know that fraud was committed by lying to the store about the loss of a receipt although I suppose the stupid award should go to the store.
Personally I don't have a PS4 for a variety of reasons and cost is not one of them, however I do have a PS3 (backwards compatible) and a huge backlog of games.
I don't begrudge your excitement with Win10 etc however I have no interest...
