Actually any console that can play games that I like is my favorite console.
As for an all time favorite, well come back in a billion years from now and maybe I will have an answer for you :-)
Oh dear you are brave in saying that but to be honest I could not agree more. :-)
Don't remember Oblivion and Skyrim having multiplayer either yet people have spent hundreds of hours individually playing, especially Skyrim which has quite a thriving mod community on PC as well.
Yes I can think of nothing worse than entering Movarth's Lair or even Eldergleam Sanctuary and find 10 on-line players wrecking the place ;-)
Single player will always be playable providing you have the equipment to play it. Multiplayer is only playable while the servers you need to connect to are up and of course you still have the equipment to play it.
Which one is the best? Well that depends on what you like with single player fully dependent on your own personal likes while multiplayer depends not only on your likes and your internet connection but the likes of other players as well.
Getting disagrees? It seems that some people have to hate or have never played the game.
I have not played BloodBorne yet since I don't have a PS4 (yet) but I have played Demon's Souls and Dark Souls and while they do have an on-line component they are effectively single player.
BloodBorne like the Souls series is single player game with an optional on-line component that allows other players to either coop or PvP and only in certain places.

In what way is this shady. If people are silly enough to continue to pay an on-line subscription to a game they don't play anymore then isn't the onus on them to instigate cancellation.
Square/Enix have sent reminder notices to all player's email accounts, it is really up to the player to take action.
It does not matter if the account is still active or has not been used unless notice of cancellation is received or payment stopped then nothing wil...
PS2 emulation is definitely a feature that adds value to the PS4 and possibly additional revenue to Sony and PS2 game developers. One thing this is not is a game changer since there will be many that have no interest in playing older games.
As far as marketing goes all companies try to push their products, so touting PS2 emulation just as Microsoft touting XBox360 emulation on their XB1 is a valid business practice.
Emulation of PS2 games on the PS4 is a nice feature but not a game changer and am quite sure most PlayStation fans are aware, or at least should be aware of this.
I definitely do agree with you with regard to being able to play your original PS2 disks however for those people that don't have the disk for a particular game I don't object to a fee being charged to download the image.
As for people downloading HD collections for their PS3 well too bad si...
You do know that the PS2 could play PS1 games which was well before the XBox360 so how could Microsoft set the so called standard for emulation if such a thing exists.
Before that there were PC emulators for some ROM based games and Microsoft was not instrumental in developing them.
I would rather the emulator could read your PS2 disk and install it as an image onto the PS4 where it could then be played by the emulator. I would expect that to be a free service although I don't have any objection to Sony charging for a digital download of a PS2 game that is not already owned by the player.
For some trophies are great for others like myself they don't care although I don't have any objection to them.
It would be interesting to know if some of those PS2 games that support network connectivity can still connect to the appropriate servers. I very much doubt that the servers are still running though.
This is not backwards compatibility but software emulation that can play PS2 and possibly PS1 games. If those people who are not interested then fine since it won't effect you one way or the other.
I have said this before. I don't object to Sony charging for digital downloads of PS2 and possibly PS1 games however I do object to having to play for games I already own so hopefully the emulator will have a feature for reading and installing PS2 and possibly PS1 game disk...
I would say the digital download part is a given, however it would also be easy for the PS4 to read a PS2 game disk and install the image onto the PS4's game disk for playing via the emulator.
@DoctorFraud
Note sure about PS1 CD's and some PS2 games that came on CD but if the PS4 can read DVD's it should also be able to read CD's.
Actually the PS4 has an emulator that can play and enhance PS2 games (not sure about PS1 games th...
Having a PS2 emulator on the PS4 would be a nice feature for me since I still have over 60 PS2 games, although I am quite sure many people don't care. Still to each their own.
I would be fairly confident in saying that the emulator will only read PS2 disk images which would mean digital downloads you pay for or hopefully PS2 disk read at no cost to you and install like all PS4 games.
Personally I don't have any issues with Sony charging for PS2 game i...
Sony was quite up front from the introduction of the PS3 stating that on-line access for PS3 games would be free. Except for subscription based PS3 games of which Sony has no control all other online multiplayer PS3 games have free access to the servers.
For PS4 games and again from introduction Sony stated that if you want on-line multiplayer access then you will need a PS+ subscription. Free games and digital download discounts are just some extra perks of having a PS+ acco...
Well look at this way. Without PS+ you can't play online games and the odd free game is just icing on the cake.
If you like the free games PS+ has available then you are getting more value for your subscription if not well too bad.
If you are into digital downloads then if you have a PS+ subscription you can most likely get a discount. By how much? I don't know take a look in the Store.
If you don't like PS+ for whatever reason n...
You will still have that power brick. :-)
You know it not that much of an Electrical Engineering feat to design a machine with an in built power supply, after-all most manufactures of electronic products have been doing it for years.
I think "killer_goat" is alluding to world wide sales. Just saying that he knows plenty of people who are going to get a PS4 is a very small sample in the scheme of things.
Currently I am playing Skyrim on my PS3 which for me is so addictive and had kept me from buying a PS4 although I will be getting one within two months (looking for a bundle I will like such as 1TB PS4, The Witcher 3 and Bloodborne).
I have played on many consoles including NES (got sore hands from the controller), SNES, N64 (hated the controller), GameCube, Wii (hated the controller), PS1, PS2 and now the PS3.
Actually the SNES controller was IMHO a turning ...
