There is a difference between what some people consider a better game yet the same people can have more fun with a similar but different game. Sounds weird so I will give you an example.
I have two fantasy RPG's one is called Skyrim and the other Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. I would say Skyrim is the better and deeper game with great and immersive gameplay yet KoAR is great fun and a blast to play.
As for enjoyment I got similar enjoyment out of both o...
I do agree with you but many don't as well and really both are right.
In addition to both Fallout and The Witcher 3 being RPG's, Fallout is SciFi set in a post apocalyptic world while The Witcher 3 is Fantasy set in a medieval world.
R{G players usually prefer one game world style over another although that is not to say that a Fantasy game lover won't play and enjoy a SciFi game and vice versa. Personally I do think the Final Fantasy series has t...
For some reason I could never get into the Fallout series even though I loved Oblivion and Skyrim (Still playing).
The author (Joanne Paul) states the following "The Witcher, it must be said, appeals to the fantasy lover in me and I enjoy the creatures and magical elements of it". I do think that is one of the main reasons why I prefer some RPG's over others.
I have not got a PS4 yet but when I do The Witcher and Bloodborne are at the top of my ...
Well EA is publishing the above games and only one word comes to mind "micro-transactions" . I could be wrong but I doubt it.
Another annoyance (at least for me) is on-line only (I usually avoid them), or if the game has a single player mode it is short and rather disappointing although that is subjective.
One or two good games does not make me buy a console.
They are supposed to be making a Dragon's Dogma 2 but I haven't heard much about it. Hopefully DD 2 will have more interesting quests as well as more randomized items and enemies. It would also be nice to have the capability of item creation such as amour, weapons or spells
One thing that I found absolutely useless in the original DD was the so called difficulty level. I actually played on the hardest setting and even my first enemy fights were giving me so much mo...
4K 120fps or even 120Hz monitors where? Last time I looked (about 2 minutes ago) there aren't any.
@kaizokuspy
I am currently building a desktop and even using quite a few configurators both in Australia and the US I am fairly hard pressed to get a US$1500 desktop that will come close to playing 4K games.
Of course I have decided on a i7-6400, a decent motherboard with 16GB DDR4 ram a 4K capable graphics card, 1 SSD and a 2TB or 3TB 7200 rpm disk as well as a decent 4K monitor. I have not even factored in a mechanical keyboard, gaming mouse and case as wel...
@Neonridr
It would be stupid and dangerous for PSVR games to have the player moving around too much.
Think about it, would you actually trust a game that required you to actually move around the room?
Basically within days of a VR games release that encouraged the player to actually move around the room you would see litigation just because someone bumped their knees on the coffee table or tripped on the throw rug because they could not see i...
Well if you like games that require many tens of hours of gameplay then you probably only need a few games, even then the problem would be deciding which ones are you going to get and in which order.
Say three games that you would really like to play come out. All you need to do is buy the one you really want to play now and after you have finished it then buy the other ones in order which by this time hopefully will be cheaper or you can even get them second hand since Blu-r...
Microsoft tried to do just that in the early 1990's when the internet was just starting to become popular with the general public.
Basically they were given a one finger salute by Governments, Universities and Defense Departments who had already installed the basic infrastructure for the Internet.

Actually the "Other OS" was a feature that was removed with a system update if you decided to install it. All other hardware was either reduced (ie. 4 USB's to 2) or not included (ie. card readers and PS2 backwards compatibility) in later releases of the PS3 which reduced the price of the machine dramatically.
Functionally the later release PS3's are still the same as the original ones and some have been enhanced such as HDMI hardware control.
@xPhearR3dx
Actually there were quite a few on-line games made for the PS2 since you could buy a network connector, however the majority of PS2 games did not have any online capability.
The origial PS3's could play PS2 games including the ones that could use the network.
Pretty much all PS2 games just worked although I do remember one that was buggy and fortunately I never got it even though the original PS1 game was IMHO quite good.
Personally I liked FF13 although IMHO FF13-2 was better. Can't comment on FF13-3 since I have not played it.
Overall I preferred FF12 but I still liked all the other FF games starting from FF4.
Considering all PS3's will play PS1 games as well as enhancing the output the original PS1 has really been superseded.
Unfortunately only the original PS3's supported PS2 playback, however it may be possible that the PS2 emulator for the PS4 will supersede the original PS2 console. We will have to wait for more details on that though.
If your old PS3 is getting hot which is normally indicated by excessive loudness (ie. overworked fan) then it may be time to change the thermal grease. Check out the web on how to do this it's not that difficult.
If you are not confident in changing the thermal grease then some repair shops will actually repair or refurbish your old PS3 for a reasonable price. Do a web search in your area or check out some local gaming places.
All PS3's will play PS1 ...
3D gaming was never dropped from the PS3. Basically game developers did not provide much support for it although there are quite a few 3D games out there.
I have an original PS3 and I can still play 3D games and watch 3D movies.
Actually the most important item for 3D games and movies is your display. If that does not support 3D then you cannot watch in 3D.
Of course if you have a fairly good 3D HDTV then you can use what is called pseudo 3D ...
Now that brings back memories. I have the PS2 version and IMHO it is quite a good game.
Even though I do have a BC PS3 there is always hope that the PS2 emulator slated for the PS4 will allow me to play this game again on the PS4 when I finally get one.
@magiciandude
Personally i don't really worry about if a game is exclusive or even AAA I pick a gaming console to play games on that I will like and I normally only pick one console. Currently that is the PS3 with my favorite game being Skyrim although I do love the Souls series and R&C is really good fun. With the exception of Demon's Souls and R&C most other games that I like are multi-platform.
I am currently building a fairly powerful i7-6...
Looks like Dark Cloud 1 which I still have and works fine on my BC PS3.
Since there is a PS2 emulator for the PS4 then all you should need is a PS2 image which may be got via digital download and there will most likely be a charge for this which IMHO is reasonable. Of course some special deals may be worked out if you have PS+.
If the emulator can be made to read a PS2 disk and install the image like the PS4 does with PS4 games then there really should be not...
