It is very easy to fake a video.
So to have the distinction of being able to do what he said he needs proof and that means reputable witness.
If you have played DS enough times and died many many times then I suppose eventually you know where everything is and how to avoid or combat the menace.
Of course you could read the numerous walk-thoughs and spoilers and can remember them all.
I am not going to watch the video but I would also like to know if he was paying on-line. If he wasn't then a speed run is possible but if he was on-line you probably would not go that far without PvP and I have ha...
I know this may come as a shock to you but DirectX is Microsoft's proprietary suite of API's. It is what is commonly known as a de-facto standard mainly due to it's lock-in factor.
If you want something more open then you basically have to look at Linux distributions, however Linux on the desktop is extremely small (approx 1.5%) although it totally dominates on supercomputers and over a billion people on this planet use Android which has a Linux kernel.

There wont be that much of a difference between playing a normal game (ie. on a fixed screen) and a VR game where the screen sifts in relationship to where you are moving you head.
Basically all games that require movement of your avatar require the player to be seated or standing and if player movement is allowed it would be fairly limited. After-all bumping into walls, coffee table, pets and other humans would not be an overall pleasant experience. 😉
Why beef up the console when you will need a more powerful graphics card, higher spec power supply and an acceptable exhaust fan.
All PS4's do support 4k content as in movies (file and BluRay) and photos. What it does not support is 4k games although you can definitely output a 1080p or less game to a 4K TV and still display the image full screen providing the aspect ratios are the same.
Since the majority of PS4 owners have 1080p (HDTV) screens why suppo...
Yes you are right except for one detail you failed to mention. If you don't have a monitor that can display what a high end graphics card can output then it is all rather pointless.
For gaming you actually need a monitor with appropriate resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz or better. Having a curved screen does help as well especially if you go larger than 27" screens since you get a much better immersion.
Since I only have a flat screen 24" ...
I don't but 4k TV's and even monitors are not that much more than a 1080p HDTV of similar brand and size. Of course you can get cheap ones as well but then again you can also get cheap 1080p's
The problem for 4k displays is that 8k is due out this year and while 8k will be initially expensive it will drop in price fairly quickly to the point that people contemplating 4k and aware of 8k may defer for a year or two since 1080p is acceptable for normal TV shows.
Short answer No.
The Souls games (including Bloodborne) are completely stand alone on their own.
I won't deny that PC gamers in the majority of cases do have powerful machines but most PC's in the market today still don't surpass the performance of the PS4 and XB1.
Personally I do have a powerful PC which well and truly surpasses the performance of he current consoles, however I have never been a PC gamer even going back over 20 years preferring consoles instead.
In addition I don't run a Microsoft OS on my PC and although I could run one...
No thanks I don't like spoilers.
I am actually playing Bloodborne at the moment and the only time I looked at a how-to was when fighting Father Gascoigne since I died so many times especially when he made his third transformation.
While the how-to helped (sort off) I actually destroyed him within three minutes and without employing any of the tips and tricks.
@Unspoken
Bloodbourne is really a similar but different type of game to the Dark Souls series although I do agree it would look even better at 4k/60fps but then again so would the Souls series at those resolutions and frame rates. Unfortunately the PS4 and also XB1 can only support up to 1080p and up to 60 fps.
You can of course output to a 4K and soon 8k TV/Monitor where it will probably be unscaled and depending on the display smoothed as well.
Not quite sure of the total number but I would say well over 100. https://en.wikipedia.org/wi...
In fact most PS3 games can be played with the PSMove plus the navigator.
If you are interested in shooters on rails then maybe two PSMove's would be useful. Personally I prefer to control my movement which would only require one PSMove and navigator or just the dual shock 4.
I am also aware how to allow movement (forward, back and to the sides) with two PSMove's but a joystick will always provide much finer control.
Have not tried PSVR yet mainly because I have not seen a demo booth where I could try it. I actually want to try the cinema mode as well as the VR mode.
As for Kinect. I have tried it and my son an I both felt like idiots jumping up and down and swinging our arms, although depending on the game it would be great at parities. 😉
As far as prices go name me any device under US$800 that can provide a private virtual screen that can be up to 5 meters in the diagonal?
The PSVR will even sell to non gamers since it does not need a TV or monitor and can be used in cinema mode to view movie and picture content. In cinema mode you can even play and display normal PS4 games.
Note: 5 meters is approx 196 inches for those still clinging to imperial measurements.
You can do voice commands without the Kinect you just need to use the headphones and microphone that comes with the XB1 or use your own. Likewise the PS4 also has this feature although from what I have heard the XB1 voice commands are better then those of the PS4's in the details but both can do the fundamentals.
For facial recognition you need the Kinect for the XB1 or if you have the PS4 you need the Camera.
"I swear man they could create exclusives games like the walking dead or Life is Strange and utilize the Kinect."
Really! How?
One of the biggest problems with motion tracking is that "You are the controller" to quote Microsoft PR. It is all well and good flailing arms and moving your body at a party to control a game but a controller is so much more precise and has force feedback.
You as the controller need more room to ...
As motion and sound detectors go the Kinect is more elaborate and more expensive than the PSCamera, however the PSCamera is cheaper and is required for motion tracking for the PSVR while the Kinect is now an optional device unless you wish to play Kinect games.
Having "Yourself as a controller" to quote Microsoft PR sounds interesting until you really think about it. At least with a controller you do have force feedback and can imitate quite complex commands with bu...
Upgraded to what?
The PS4 can already display 4k content. What it can't do is output 4k content games, but then again most PC's can't do that either unless they have a fairly powerful graphics card which can be more expensive than the PS4 alone.
Now if the PS4 could output 8k content including games then that would be fantastic although the price may be a bit problematic, however no PC on the market today can do that and 8k will be out this year. ...
It seems Western sensibilities are dictated by the moral minority who would probably never buy the game anyway. What next, demand that all women and girls in games, movies and in real life cover up in a berkah less they lead to depravity for god fearing males ... Oh wait! 😉
