Photo realism is all well and good but you really do have to ask yourself what makes a good game.

Without going into a long rant a good game is actually a game you like for a variety of reasons and while graphics does play an important part it may or may not be the most important part.

If I remember rightly "Star Citizen" was touted only to run on high-end PC's not on those plebian consoles which in reality were actually more powerful than mid-range PC's which make up the majority of the PC market. Just by saying that I think alarm bells should have rung since that would limit your potential market considerably.

Still, there is a sucker born every minute.

Which you have obviously never played or if you have and you say something like that then you probably never played it to completion. Of course, if you played the game to completion and still say that then you really are a glutton for punishment.

Personally, I don't have any hate for FF13 since it is pretty much like most FF games in that it is on rails for most of the game. Of all the previous single player FF games it had the best graphics (kind of captain obvious her...

Well, we may or may not know the price of the Neo but we still don't know the official specifications.

If the Neo is to be released this year it will only be to compete with the XBoneS and that will be a 4K Bluray player, HDMI 2 and possibly a slightly better performance although the performance will be mainly to support full 4K playback (all PS4's and even XB1's can support limited 4K playback) since all games developed will be runnable on both the PS4 and the ...

@SolidStateSnake

Basically, handhelds have predominately been Nintendo since the late 1980's.

As for multiple consoles, there was initially a two horse race with Nintendo and Sega competing from the mid-1980's to the mid-1990's so I am only talking about the NES verses the Sega Master System followed by the SNES versus the Sega MegaDrive (Genesis). It was only with the introduction of the Sony Playstation in December 1994 that we had three se...

As for being paranoid. Have you been in the position of having your Windows 7 or 8.1 upgraded to Windows 10 by stealth even if you did not want the upgrade. That is basically what Malware (look it up if you don't believe me) does.

If you have Windows 10 check your security settings. Nearly all of the settings are intrusive and all are turned on by default. Yes, you can lock down the operating system and it is reasonably easy to do so until ...

Actually, I agree with most of what Tim Sweeney said.

Well, it does have an HDMI connector and cable so it may actually enhance the games for your large screen TV. But please let it be possible to use anything but that abomination of an NES controller. That controller really hurt my hands although I did get more comfortable grips later on.

Get back to us in about 16 to 17 months.

I do like RPG's and initially Scalebound held my interest until I actually saw gameplay then that interest was lessened considerably (IMHO that voice acting was cringeworthy). As for "Sea of Thieves" I don't really know since I don't really have enough information to make a comment.

The big three are Halo, Gears of War and Forza which are of no interest to me.

I have a PS4 and I do find there are some exclusives that I like (eg Blood...

At the moment the 4K market is still small in comparison to the HD market and it was only in February 2015 that the 4K (three-layer) Bluray standard was ratified so it is not real surprise that there is now a market for 4K Bluray so basically this is an area that the XB1-s and the Neo are going to target.

We even know that Sony has asked developers not to develop games for the Neo that won't play on the PS4 and no developer would be stupid enough not to develop for a p...

I know it is very hard to believe but there are many people in the world that don't live in the USA and have a very comfortable lifestyle. Unfortunately they are are also many millions living in abject poverty.

Sound like you never use your Library since you can list A-Z or Z-A or even recently used or install date. You can even use voice commands either via the camera if you have one or your microphone earpiece which comes with every PS4 or if you have a supported headphones + mic.

As for network that has nothing to do with your PS4 since it supports 802.11 b/g/n WiFi connectivity. I have broadband and can get anything from 2 to 3MB/sec so an 8GB file will take about an hour. Ev...

The only feature that IMHO would be nice is showing the last three games (ok maybe 4) you played rather than the last 12. Other than that I am fine with the dashboard since the Library lets you quickly search for your games or applications.

What's wrong with the network infrastructure?

What's wrong with the system software? I personally have not had any issues with stability.

May I ask what online features of PSN that people actually care about?

3601d ago 0 agree3 disagreeView comment

If the games for the Neo are going to backwards and forwards compatible then the main features of the Neo will be pretty much what the XBoneS will have and that is a 4K Bluray player and HDMI 2 or better. Sure the Neo may have a little more power than the PS4 but I can't see developers making use of that power when there would be well over 40 million potential sales on the PS4.

If the Neo comes out this year to compete with the XBoneS then what I have just said will be ...

Each to their own but personally I don't see anything on the XB1 lineup that even remotely makes me want to purchase an XBox (be it XB1 or the S). At one stage I was interested in Scalebound but the videos of the gameplay and the voice acting has really put me off. As for "Sea of Thieves" I am fairly lukewarm with that.

The so-called big three (Halo, Gears of War and Forza) I have no interest whatsoever.

Being a PS+ member I got Gravity Rush Remastered for less than half price. It even some with three free DLC mission packs.

I mainly got it for relaxation after playing Bloodborne, but I found this game is surprisingly addictive. I also found out that this game has an online component in that you can compare the results of the challenge events against your friends or world wide. Well, it looks like I will have to "git gud" again. 😉

You can do that now with any good NES emulator although getting the ROMS requires you to join the green parrot on shoulder brigade.

I have looked at the games and it appears there is something for everyone.

The only thing I don't like is the classic NES controller which IMHO was a great at giving you very sore hands if you play for too long. Still if it possible to get the "sleeves" (gives the controller a sort of boomerang shape) or better yet be able to plug in the GameCube controller or even the SNES controller which for me was surprisingly comfortable.

Interestingly ...
