Even dedicated PC gamers "facepalm" ( http://www.reactiongifs.com... ) when this is said.
You are quite right the PC does not have regional licensing, however if you have a Microsoft operating system you have effectively agreed to a form of regional licensing.
When you start your Microsoft operating system for the first time you have to agree to the End User License Agreement (EULA) which in the case of pretty much everyone is never read but agreed to anyway.
At this stage, I will let the reader do some homework. In your favourite search eng...
I have the PS3 camera and I was quite surprised when I plugged it into my PC (Linux operating system). The video stream was quite responsive in web and application packages although the microphone did not appear to work, however I have not perservered with this.
From what I can gather the PSVR headset does not come with the camera although there may be some discounts given for the camera if you buy the PSVR plus camera but this will depend on the store.
When devices are connected to the internet you actually can ask everyone but the main problem you have is will everyone respond to your survey? It is also important to know what were the questions asked in the survey.
Here is an interesting survey question for married couples. "When did you stop beating your wife?" answer that and you just admitted that you beat your wife.
The whole idea of any statistical analysis is to randomly select a reaso...
Actually, the Wii release was when I stopped supporting Nintendo and the WiiU confirmed my resolve. Maybe the NX will make me support Nintendo again but so far all the rumors have not helped.
Sony will lump the PS4 and Ps4 slim sales together since effectively they are the same but they probably will show the PS4pros sales separately. Of course, the differential may stay within the boardroom but with any luck, we shall see as well.
For Microsoft, I doubt we will see any breakdown in sales since it is hard to get basic sales now.
@Ginpachi-sama
I got the Legendary Edition of Skyrim for the PS3 and I did have some issues. The first issue was the 6MB save which for those that don't know occurs when your save file(s) exceed 6MB in size. By default Skyrim has auto saves which are customisable but by default you get a save when you open a door, enter a cave or dungeon. When you get a save exceeding about 6MB the actual save can take up to 15 seconds and the larger the file the longer it takes. This w...
Gaming moments like these are one of the main reasons I refuse to read walkthroughs and spoilers prior to my first playthrough.
To get to Anor Londo you first have to go thru Sen's Fortress and oh what fun you can have there. If you miss the bonfire at the top or you have not activated the lift and you die then look forward to enjoying the challenge again. 😉
I do agree that Nintendo dominates the handheld market but why come out with a hybrid handheld and console that effectively from the handheld side is actually competing against your own product? Even on the console side, you are looking at a product that is underpowered compared to the current three-year-old consoles.
I know some fanboys will say that I am anti-Nintendo but I have owned all Nintendo's consoles up to and including the Gamecube. The Wii was the turning po...
I have seen DS2 being sold fairly cheaply as a PS3 game but has remained at a premium price for the PS4 where Bloodborne and even DS3 are being sold allot cheaper. This is kind of weird considering DS2 was not as well received as DS1, DS3 and Bloodborne.
It is quite possible that the first batch of PS4pro consoles will be snapped up really quickly so if you want one you have to preorder but if you are willing to wait till late this year or early next year you should not have a problem.
Of course, I could be wrong and the PS4slim is the one that sells more and a $100 USD differential is a great attraction for people on a budget especially for those who don't have 4K TV and have no interest in purchasing one in the forese...
Most people who have mobile phones would not ditch them for a larger handheld that can't even make a phone call. You also have to consider that mobile screens can be in the order of 6" and above and there are thousands of games available, many of those games are free although with adds and there are some you can pay for that are add free. Competition in that market is very fierce.
You are quite right in pointing out that Nintendo will loose out on third party supp...
I am sorry but the last time I looked Ohm's Law of "Voltage = Current (amps) x Resistance (Ohms)" and Joule's Law of "Power (Watts) = Voltage x Current" have not been repealed.
Normally the PS4 (CUH1200 model) runs at approximately 120W when playing a game. I somehow doubt a portable is capable of doing this without fairly sizable batteries. This is not to say a portable can't display fairly detailed graphics (it can) but those graphics would...
@joeorc
Oh, wonderful we can now play mobile games on the NX when we have always been able to play mobile games on, well, mobiles or tablets. Not only that but it is possible either by cable or wirelessly to output a mobile game to your TV.
Many games on mobiles are basically free although these ones do contain adverts. Even if you get mobile games that are add free they are not that expensive. It may be possible that Nintendo could go down this path alth...
To be fair with a 1080p 6" screen it can be difficult but not impossible to detect the difference between 720p and 1080p.content but a 720p screen is just rediculous especially since many mobile phones do have screens that can display 1080p and some can display 4K (ok they are expensive).
I would expect the device when docked can display at least 1080p to your HDTV.
Going back to cartridges may be fine for a handheld where you have limited storage an...
Yes it is and if you were a videophile this would be the time to purchase an XB1s rather than spend the extra money for an upmarket (ie. more expensive) 4K Bluray player.
The problem with this is if you predominately get videophiles buying the XB1s then would those people be prepared to play games on the machine as well? You could liken this to me buying a PC with a Microsoft OS (most of them) on it and never purchasing a Microsoft product again which is actually pretty eas...
I assume you are buying HD Bluray disks, not UHD Bluray disks since you give the impression that you don't have a UHD player. You do realize that all PS3's and PS4's can play DVD and BD movies.
If you don't have an internet connection then there is always free to air TV and you can even use a PVR to capture any shows that they transmit.
You won't find me disagreeing with you on your last statement but unless you are a videophile keepi...
Use a Microsoft OS and you may have a problem in the future or did you not read the EULA when you started your PC for the first time.
