I have a high-end PC and I don't use Photoshop since you have to pay for it so I use The Gimp instead because it can pretty much do everything Photoshop can do. I fact I don't even pay for my operating system or applications and can get them updated automatically or manually (my choice) for free. Surprisingly everything I do is legal.

Oh! I almost forgot I don't run Microsoft anything on my machines so I don't have to worry about my OS phoning home.

@ShadowKnight

I do agree with the Click bait.

As far as a console competing with a PC. You really do have to define what type of PC you are talking about. Yes, a high-end PC with top of the line graphics card, a high-performance motherboard coupled with a powerful overclocking processor with 16GB or more overclocking memory will make most PC's look like handheld calculators but you pay for that big time.

On average most PC's sol...

If you are in the market for a PS4 then IMHO the PS4pro s the better value for the money even if you don't have a UHD TV with HDR10. You are only looking at $100 USD differential over the PS4slim. You also get a 1TB disk and the machine is over twice the graphics performance (4.2Tflops) of the PS4 (1.8Tflops).

If you want the PS4pro when it comes out I think the only way to be sure is to pre-order and while I dislike pre-ordering this is one time it will be necessary un...

@KaiPow

I did some searches for monitors with HDR and so far nothing: https://www.cnet.com/au/new... so I like yourself I can wait, since I am not that keen on replacing my 55" HDTV with a UHD (with HDR) TV since for me to appreciate one in my living room I would have to consider one at least 65" or larger which won't be cheap. ...

I would not say the PSVR is a gimmick although depending on what you like in games it could be.

I was more interested in the cinema mode of the PSVR to play normal games since I very much doubt I could get many VR RPG's ( I have no real interest in shooters) in the foreseeable future but still you never know. Since I have never worn a VR headset so I will reserve judgement until I have tried the PSVR in VR and cinema modes.

Both modes are essential fo...

Wearing a VR headset is not that much of a difference than wearing glasses. Even glasses fog up when the conditions are right such as putting your glasses on when the ambient temperature is low.

On the Rainx bottle there is a warning and it is in very small type.

"Do not use on plastics unless pre-approved by the manufacturer of the plastic to be treated."

I have used Rainex on my own glasses (hard plastic) without problems but it is best to check with Sony to see if the PSVR lenses are fine with using Rainx on them. Personally, I do think there would be a problem given what you have said but it is always best to check. If there are no ...

You forgot Halo, Halo, Halo and Forza, Forza, Forza oh and let's not forget Halo, Forza and (of course) Gears.

Really?

YOU’RE A PC GAMER
Usually less of a reason to purchase an XBox.

MICROSOFT’S FIRST PARTY GAMES
With the exception of the big three (Halo, Forza and Gears of War) most first party games have not done all that well. I have looked at the gameplay of Scalebound and while I do like those types of games I was not overly impressed.

If you go into a MMO with friends that you know and can work tactically with then you can really have a great time. Unfortunately, I have found that if you get in a raid party with people you don't know it is usually everyone for themselves.

Currently playing Neverwinter which is free to install and play although the micro transactions aren't and there are quite a few of them but if you know what you are doing then there is no need for any purchases. In fact, with t...

Why would there be?

The difference between the original DS4 and the new DS4 is just cosmetic in that the touchpad has a clear strip that is an integral part of the touchpad that allows you to see the light bar indicator from the top.

As for the following comment: "Another notable feature is being able to send inputs directly via the USB cable. On the PlayStation 4, you will have the option of using Bluetooth wireless or USB wired connections." ...

I can use my original DS4 to play games on my PC via USB cable. The added feature is that is that it also charges the battery without losing the pairing to my PS4. My DS3 does not work as a wired controller although my operating system definitely sees it but it does charge the DS3 without loss of pairing.

What was interesting was the fact that I did not have to run any specific software to get my DS4 to work on my PC, it just worked. I should also point out that I don't...

Sony has a year to counteract the Scorpio. One solution is to bring out a PSVRpro that has a higher resolution screen and is maybe $50 dearer or just bring one out that will be the same price(ie. $400 USD) as the one coming out in 5 days time.

What I have said is not that farfetched since Sony does market the 4K Xperia Z5 Premium smartphone. See: http://www....

You could say that the PS4slim and the PS4pro are dividing since purchases going forward will be split between the two although it is very likely that some PS4 owners will trade in their PS4's for the PS4pro or even just get the PS4pro.

As for the PSVR, how is that dividing? People who want the PSVR whether they have a PS4 or not will get it. Those that don't have a PS4 will get one plus a camera and possibly one or more PSMoves if they want a PSVR.

A 4K or UHD Bluray player would have been a nice feature for the PS4pro and I was rather expecting it to have one myself but like I have said before all the features of the Playstation disk players have been to do with games. A UHD Bluray player does not have anything to do with games.

I will concede that it is now possible for games to require more than 50GB but those games are rare and will remain rare for the foreseeable future. If you really look at those games that exc...

Well it's not "Spencer" but it is still Microsoft's push for what the XB1 should really be. See the following: https://www.youtube.com/wat...

The Bluray players in both the PS3 and BS4 are primarily used for games media, likewise the CD player of the PS1 and the DVD player of the PS2. Granted that all players can be used for other things but can anyone tell me what a UHD Bluray play...

If you compare the XB1 with Kinect against the PS4 the Kinect had quite a few features such as being able to do face scan and voice recognition which allowed the user to quickly navigate the XB1 .

What many did not realise is the PS4 also supported voice and face recognition if you purchased and connected the camera. although the Kinect was the better technology but unlike the Kinect which at the time was a mandatory purchase the PS camera was an optional purchase.
