It seems to be the nature of the game now to compare a machine that releases in just a little over a month from now at a price of $399 USD to a machine that probably won't be released for over 13 months since there is no tentative release date and no pricing.
As for showing the proposed Scorpio chips either, someone made a mistake or they just want to troll the video. To be fair the video does discuss the Scorpio towards the end.

To compleat the challenges it really does pay to have the six axis controller and turn up the sensitivity. Just using the control sticks is not enough even if you turn up the sensitivity (strongly recommended) on these as well. The combination of six axis and thumb sticks is IMHO better than a high-performance mouse.
Some of the times and scores achieve by really good players have to be seen to be believed. Also, most of the top players are Japanese.

What has a UHD player to do with games?
From PS1 though to PS4 all the players have been for games although it just so happens that the player can be used for other purposes such as CD - music, DVD - movies and Bluray - movies.
I actually purchased a day one PS3 and have rarely used it play movies and most of those movies have been for my wife anyway. I have never played a Bluray movie on my PS4. Basically, I purchased a ...
Like it or not the PS1 through PS4 are gaming devices and all the disk readers have been for gaming disks. It just so happens that those disk readers can also be used for entertainment purposes such as music CD's, DVD and BD movies.
The UHD player is not designed for games it is only designed for movies although it does fit in with Microsoft's 2013 XB1 reveal of TV, TV, sports, TV, movies, TV, TV and (cough!) games.

Look at the PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 all have disk readers and all those disk readers are for gaming media. It just so happens that those readers can be used for other things, but their primary purpose is for games. What does a UHD Bluray player have to do with gaming?
@BakPAin
As for people with data caps. If you can afford a decent UHD TV then you can afford a UHD player and this begs the question do you just play 4K movies sin...
@Obscure_Observer
The PS1, PS2, PS3 and PS4 are games machines and taking the PS3 and PS4 (includes slim and pro) as examples the Bluray player is actually for games media although it just so happens that you can play Bluray and DVD movies which can be considered a value-added feature to all of those systems.
What has a UHD Bluray to do with games? Answer it doesn't although it does fit in with Microsoft's 2013 introduction to the XB1 of TV, movie...
For someone that has owned and played games on the NES through to and including the Gamecube, the final turning point for me was the Wii which was standard definition when all the other consoles supported high definition and had allot of third party support.
Along came the WiiU a year before the release of the PS4 and the XB1 and while it supported high definition there were not many games on it that I was interested in and don't get me started on that controller. Sigh!...
If the PSVR is a peripheral then so is a TV set.
Please show me a cheap TV (HD or UHD) that has a screen of up to 5m (16.4ft) in the diagonal. The PSVR can do that as a virtual screen although admittedly it is 1080p but if you adjust the headpiece you can make it appear that you are sitting back at about 6m (20ft) and at that distance it is kind of hard for the average person to distinguish 1080p from 4k
Well, there is always cinema mode which allows the VR wearer to view a movie, show or normal game on a huge virtual screen. By doing this you could breathe new life into your games.
One of the major problems with a shared TV (typical family or household environment) is the fact that not all members of the household will want to play a particular game or watch a particular show so you end up with conflicts which in the case of families are hopefully not that confrontational....
Most VR games require the person using it to either be seated or standing but with wireless you can move around and it should not take much imagination to guess what would happen if this were the case. 😉
I like how you say "most" PC's. Actually "most" PC's, especially laptops and tablets don't even have the same performance as the XB1 and PS4 although I won't deny there are some that make the current consoles look like four-function calculators.
You also have to remember that Dead Space 3 was multiplatform (PS3, XBox360 and Microsoft Windows) and as such probably did not make as much use of the SPE's that games like Uncharted would ha...
Well, Sony should be quite happy with the sales of the XB1slim since they would get a cut of the license fees of the UHD player as well as any sales of UHD Disks and possibly some movies that are owned by Sony. Basically all parties especially Sony win.
I know I will get disagrees on this but like it or not Sony is still a major stakeholder in the Bluray consortium (see: https://en.wikipedia....
Even after the PS4 pro releases on 10th Nov 2016 there ill still be a one year wait for Scorpio. By the time the Scorpio comes out people will be talking about the next generation consoles.
If you look at the PS3 and the PS4 they are specifically designed as gaming machines and the Bluray reader is also used for gaming media. It just so happens that the Bluray player can also be used for playing movies which can be construed as a value added feature even though it is not really part of what a gaming machine is for.
Tell me what part of gaming does a UHD player offer other than to actually play UHD movies?
You forgot to ask for the release date as well. 😉
It does not matter if you have a PS3 or PS4 the Bluray player is primarily designed for games.
Let me elaborate. Unless you are fully into digital downloads you do need the Bluray player to play PS3 games on the PS3. and to install games from the media on the PS4. It just so happens that as an added value-added bonus you can play Bluray and DVD movies on the Bluray player.
While I was expecting the PS4 Neo (now the PS4pro) to have a UHD Bluray player I ca...
It's not just about free games although that is a nice value added feature. You also have to take into account that you can get really good discounts (10% to 70%) on some games including AAA (eg. Dark Souls 2, The Witcher3, Star Ocean, The Division, Bloodborne) and DLC as well and there are even flash sales so you do need to check periodically.
In addition, you get to play on-line as well although that can be taken as a negative but the XB1 also requires Gold to play on...
At least people are reporting on existing early release equipment rather than equipment which does not exist yet and has about a year to go before potential release. The full commercial release of the PSVR won't be until October 13, 2016 which is less than two weeks away.
While I do agree with what you said with regard to a pretty much any RPG being 10 hours or less, I can't find anything in the article that Vampyr has 10 hours of gameplay. In addition, I can't see anywhere that the game is multiplayer which I assume fits in with your statement of "campaign".
Actually, I did find a site: http://wccftech.com/d...
What always amazes me is that many people seem to conveniently forget that one of the major requirements of 4K gaming is a display capable of displaying at 4K and preferably with at least HDR10. What is also important in the selection of a 4K display is the size of the screen and viewing distance. See the following for further details. http://www.rtings.com/tv/re...
