I just hope they don't turn this into another GTA franchisee and milk it for all it's worth. RDR is a good example of a game being great because of it's long dev cycle and not in spite of.
Didn't he publicly admit he was wrong about that?
The only thing this piece projects is, "Hey, that 360 guy is insulting us by saying his exclusive sold more than all of ours...isn't he just pathetic? Let's do the same to him!"
I find it hilarious that we hate some one for doing something and proceed to repay them by doing the exact same thing.
The context is quite funny, actually. Greenberg only talked about Halo 3 outselling that many games. Why did the author decide to dig up the entire ...
Kind of isn't even worthy of one's two cents.
Just like all those Red Dead Redemption graphical comparisons, every one's milking this issue of Cole's changed looks for all it's worth. Sad.
If the game is this good, I think it should also be nominated for the Game of the Year award. Maybe a lot of people would disagree with that but then, along with the reviewer's points, Kojima himself stated that this is a true sequel in the MGS franchise (it was also previously named Metal Gear Solid 5: Peace Walker, if i'm not mistaken).
PSP GotY is good too, but I'd like to see a game like Peace Walker just get nominated in the overall GotY category even without...
"Guess who's back???"
That guy we stopped caring about once the series went south after Driver 2 and all the useless additions that turned the series into a GTA clone?
This author should watch The Warriors. Prime example of a society - no matter how lawless or dependent on physical and mental toughness - where race, colour and creed truly don't exist.
Any one who thinks a video game - especially one based off of a beloved franchise - will make for a good movie is just setting themselves up for disappointment. Almost no live-action video game movie in the history of Hollywood has ever been truly good.
And before anyone says Advent Children, that was made in Japan and it was a CG movie...and it was directed by Tetsuya Nomura, and it was a sequel to FFVII...and for the love of God, how could it not have been awesome?! :D
"Story Quality: Excellent, OK, WTF?!"
"Vote added: WTF?!"
-_-
So G4 now thinks Zelda is a watered down RPG?
Next thing you know, they'll say Metroid is just another shooter.
The answer will inevitably lead to "Chuck Norris." Just watch. :D
Haven't they been making Samus in skin-tight clothing for a while now?
Surprised they aren't milking that more.
What? I want her. I'm not ashamed to admit it. :|
Okay, seriously. Has anyone seen GamesThirst post any original news whatsoever? News that isn't a "breakout story" or cribbed from another website? Haven't seen in the past few months, and don't know why I'm still looking. :-/
They can roll their sleeves down.
Not everyone has 20/20 vision on the battlefield.
You're shooting the people who see you anyway.
You'd think the accents would be a bigger issue since Americans would be shouting all the time instead of flashing their biceps in front of the enemy. But this is just nit-picking. Did the Nazis really have mutated experiments as soldiers? Is the Earth really enslaved by the Combine? Does every one really ...
Lol. When the NPD sales figures came out for Bad Company 2 and Final Fantasy XIII, a friend of mine commented how Bad Company 2 sold twice as much on the 360 while FFXIII sold twice as much on the PS3. He then told me, "Isn't that enough evidence? Shooters do better on the 360 while RPGs do better on the PS3."
Of course, he was only referring to those two genres. For every other genre, the two are more or less in a stalemate (wish I could reference some figures ...
While I do try new games on the 360 (by playing at a friend's place), often we stick to Halo 3 and Gears of War 2 Horde mode in the end. It's not like the other games aren't fun (or better) but hell, those games are just so much fun in co-op when we just want to wig out like a bunch of brahs.
Could some one explain to me what the problem is? For all we know, we haven't see the game or how he acts, forget how his voice sounds. Why all the complaints from a simple magazine cover?
I don't see any links or proof that he actually said it was "Fake".
Look, I read through your review, but I have this one problem not directly related to it but that was there nonetheless.
From the review: "Metal Gear Solid: Rising, for the PS3 and 360."
It just makes it harder to take the review seriously when it fudges up such a basic fact. Maybe it's just me.
