That is just all kinds of wrong. :P
Lol. The game's got potential (love the concept), and the graphics don't look too over-grimy like Twilight Princess but not too cartoony like Wind Waker. But this is gonna need a LOT of work.
Still, at least it's a game with actual gameplay mechanics. Take notes, Microsoft.
It can be tested on the show floor. Really hoping we can get some more videos up. And it seems it'll be released next year. Good enough time to iron the kinks out.
The Solid Snake route to eating. Right on!
Yeah, the title is silly for sure (can think of more "fast-paced" stuff than Modern Warfare and more "explosive" stuff than Killzone 2 if we want to be literal), but if the game is all it can be, I say build the hype. If Vanquish lives up to it or surpasses it, great. If it doesn't, no skin off our backs. And if it's still fun, then day one. :)
Game like this seems made for multiplayer, but you know Platinum Games and Mikami - when they go for single player experiences, they give their all. I'm loving the gameplay for Vanquish and I hope they release it soon.
They're trying to make up amongst the fanboys for this garbage:

Basically inciting both groups for hits.
@BattersUp: Elucidate, my good man. Nothing? Fine by me.
"And just to seal the deal, Microsoft giving out the redesigned 360 free to the US press predictably bent the needle on the E3 whoopometer"
D:
Are you freaking "journalists" so easy to buy out?!
Edit: No, seriously. I don't think we should just pan MS for giving out free XBox 360 S consoles (it's shady but not illegal). It's not like the journalists HAVE to accept it, but lo and behold, they do. And if this dir...
I liked the trailers for Gears 3, Halo Reach, MGS Rising, the design of the new 360 S, and yes, I thought Cirque de Soleil are an interesting performace group. The author may be making some good points, but I'm sorry. To say Kinect and the amount of time it's been dominating Microsoft's conferences is any less than a disappointment would be dishonest.
I know Sony and Nintendo will have better conferences, but hell, even EA's conference was better because they ...
Microsoft's conference was most disappointing, but it wasn't completely terrible by any means. It's just I find no logic in having a separate conference for Kinect, and then showing the exact same games at the one meant for hardcore gamers. There should have been more reveals and exclusives, or at least more gameplay footage of the titles that were good. Kinect ruined it for me.
I like the new 360 S design, but I am totally against their distributing free consoles...

There, there. /jk
But I agree completely. If some one told me one that too much conference time for one device could wipe out the awesome tone set by Gears 3, MGS Rising, Fable III and Halo Reach gameplay trailers (along with the Codename Kingdoms and XBox 360 S reveals), I'd think they were crazy. Sadly, that's exactly what happened.
Uh, I never said he wouldn't purchase the DLC. I'm going off on his stupid headline that says, "If I Own A PS3 And Can’t Buy DLC, Why Should I Buy Call Of Duty? I'll Boycott".
Which basically translates to, "I'm not buying Call of Duty on the PS3 because 360 is getting the DLC first". And is essentially just another fanboyish statement from GamesThirst. Seriously, who will boycott Call of Duty for 3 years straight? I had a hard time finding...
I did find it odd how they told every one to find out how it ended at the Sony conference. If it were a clever way of trying to gain attention at all the conferences, then why not show it at MS's conference also? Why was Sony singled out?
I'm guessing this could pave the way for their announcing exclusive Move support on the PS3 version.
I think it's a good device as well (though the main body design does evoke some major Wii deja vu), but that people were disappointed because there wasn't any change in price. I do applaud them for making it available from Monday onwards to the public.
However, one thing I found incredibly shady was how they were giving free XBox 360 S consoles to those in attendance. I hope the more trust-worthy journalists refused them (you know who you are, Hsu, Takahashi and Gerst...
Looks like the Lolis are taking revenge. :P
I've become wary of rumours of "X game coming at Y conference!" since MS botched both it's conferences, but just one thing, Sony and Sucker Punch. Just one thing you HAVE to do this gen, and that's bring back Sly Cooper.
Seriously, what other game has lines like, "I shall now bend these bars like I bend the truth!"? Pure genius writing and platforming.
@despair: But of course! The villains and overall plot were both slickly ex...
"I don't know anyone who would either buy a whole new console or switch versions for timed-DLC."
Or not buy it at all because of timed DLC, but idiots like GamesThirst still exist.
The author's incentive for buying a game is based on DLC and map packs, and he won't buy a game simply because he's not getting the same?
Also, does he know the map packs/DLC are *timed* exclusives for the 360? This means they release on the 360 first but really, a one month gap means nothing.
Finally, PS3 owners are getting both games - I don't see the point in stirring up a flame war just because 360 gets (snicker) DLC first. No, you should ...
We most certainly are not, Mr. President.
I suggest a Call to Arms following a pre-emptive nuclear strike on...somebody. I don't know. Haven't fully thought this through yet.
"Its also very good looking and is well worthy of a slim model, but this is not what makes me mad."
Cuz you won't like this author when he's mad. /jk
It was interesting for sure, and a good showcase of Move's capabilities and tracking. I just hope they've got some heavyweight unannounced titles coming up. Golf is putting me to sleep. D:
