I usually try to avoid the fanboy wars, because quite frankly, no matter how many updates this site goes through, it's user base will never change and neither will those who try to exploit said user base for hits (cue PS3Center, HHG, Playstation Lifestyle, Playstation University, GamesThirst, MaxConsole, IronstarMovement and even the bigger ones like Destructoid). I've been on this site for about 2 years or so, and I just know that whenever some one is flaming the hell out of a topic,...
"Many journalists struggling with Kinect name, calling it 'kinetic' subconsciously"
But not the sterling exemplars of journalism at MaxConsole, no sir. /s
Coming up next: "Some people pronounce Samus as 'Sah-moos' and Mario as 'Meh-reeo'! Stop the press!"
Ah, good old fashioned nightmare fuel. :D
This is THE most awesome post to ever be created. The author is so freaking modest, it's touching on way too many levels.
Where else can you find blog writers quoting themselves as important sources of news? Or using their utmost sense of professionalism to call out "analysts" like my 2 year old niece when she needs her bottle?
But more importantly, he self-tagged himself. If that's not a symbol of awesome, NOTHING is.

(Transfixed at picture)
That's...fascinating...
And yet you say this in your own post from GamesThirst:
"And so many people were already speaking negative about Kinect. Microsoft might just have something big on its hands.
They're trying to take us to the next level in human evolution; I applaud them for at least trying.
And this might just be the real deal.
you all are such skeptics.... Give the thing a chance."

Exactly. Seeing an earlier video about how it was supposedly staged, I observed that an entire movement was not picked up by Kinect and reflected into the game. It looked like the actor was simply trying to act along with the game.
What they need to do is get this in the hands of the people, so we can know for sure what's what. Hell, it's what they should have done in the beginning.
Well written article. Definitely better than Examiner's "Hur hur itsh a Wii-tread!" rubbish. I do agree that the Wii's beginning was more hardcore in flavour, but as time went on and it's popularity in the casual department grew, Nintendo exploited what was essentially an untapped well for profit. They've had a lower emphasis on hardcore gamers ever since, but Kinect's event just felt...weird. It was like a gaming carnival for the family - flashy, crazy, loopy bu...
What is your problem? Why are you stalking him through every single thread?
@niceguywii360:
Wow, that's real mature of him. :|
Maybe the subliminal message Cirque du Soleil wanted to send was that we should develop the sense of balance necessary to balance it on our hands and feet.
My god, that's the saddest joke I ever made. D:
No speak English with goodness once! But okay now!
Uh, I guess so. They didn't reveal anything else other than what's publicly known on N4G. They're supposed to be having something on Tuesday as well, but I don't know if they'll show more games than they did here.
Though it would make sense if they did - this event was clearly targetted towards the parents, the tweens, non-gamers and what-not. If they had a separate conference exclusively for showing hardcore games, then they could show off all the so-call...
"Is this the thing that's supposed to air on all those channels?"
God willing. No, seriously. Please air it.
"If any creepy dancing people touch me, I will fight them. "
That kept me laughing for a while. Along with "Microsoft now has a standing army" (in reference to everyone wearing the ponchos)
Okay, I just can't resist.
A minute or so in is a young girl who's body is recognized by Kinect for the first time, and she moves about excited by it. Here's what must be going through her head:
"Check it out, dawg! I'm dancing! I'm dancing!"
All you did was look at an ad and summarize that MS is imitating the Wii with Kinect.
No mention of video chat. No mention of Star Wars or Disney. No mention of Track and Field. No mention about the yoga and Tai Chi. No mention about what was actually happening on the floor. You just looked at every one else's rumours and decide to paste your own condescending opinion about it.
If I sound bitter, it's because I find it sad how Examiner's abuse of ...

Sample this awesome description:
"Screens coming down, unveiling, like...fifteen floating rooms with families dancing in them?"
"Man, this is just...what."
"Upside down lady again! Bouncing a ball. Upside down."

Glad I investigated this guy a bit more (I'll get back to you on the thing we discussed in the PMs later, Mc Fadge).
He's definitely legit, and a gaming journalist, and he's posting some great pics about what's going on at the show. Check out this one, for instance:

Now I hope they don't arrest him for breaking the rules.
Go away HHG. We're having a real news week at the moment.
Highlights of the conference:
1. MGS Rising Gameplay Debut - Though early, the cutting mechanic lookins interesting ('Zan-tatsu' they called it - wouldn't be surprised if that's what the kanji on that teaser site said :P )
2. Gears of War 3 Four Player story co-op mode - Showed off a lot of the changes, and some really cool gameplay sections. Thankfully a lesser presence of browns and grays this time around.
3. Halo Reach - Sp...
