Exactly. I do whatever the frak I want and am not afraid if the world asks me. I edited a God of War 3 music video to Kill Bill music (that was featured on N4G a while back), and would promptly tell that to whoever asked before I told them I'm gonna meet the bros tonight for some Red Dead Redemption and horror flicks topped with pizza.
I don't buy into the mainstream ideas of what "cool" is and don't give a frak to "be cool". Be who you are, a...
Thank god E3 is right around the corner. Then we won't have these articles (for another year, at least).
I liked it. I'm not usually a racing fan but some of that footage was indistinguishable from real life. I don't even mean virtually or almost - it really was. Looking forward to seeing more of the game, including the crashes - though, being licensed cars, would they be allowed to show them getting so banged up?
You go girl. :D
I know. Just the period when it didn't arrive was long as hell - so long that people didn't think we were getting a sequel at all (and when Chrono Cross did arrive, fans were less than pleased that it wasn't a "true" sequel). The point is, in that long period, they still loved Squaresoft and continued purchasing their titles. Sure they cribbed for a sequel but no one went as far to say as "My faith in Squaresoft is lost because they haven't released Chrono Trigg...
"Valve, My Faith In You Is Absoutely Lost"
Do fans lose faith in Naughty Dog if they go for several years without developing after making Uncharted 2? Did they lose faith in Squaresoft when we didn't get a sequel to Chrono Trigger? Did they lose faith when Blizzard has been delaying Diablo 3?
These guys made Half Life. And when people lost faith in them, they showed us Half Life 2. And when it happened again due to the whole Episodes fiasco, th...
"Damn right I'm gonna hit that!" Bubbles for your Metal Gear Awesome referece. :D
There are quite a few small sites like Bitmob, Giant Bomb, Lens of Truth and more featured oriented sites like Gamasutra that would contribute a lot to raising N4G's quality if they were featured more. Well, I know a couple of small sites that write excellent articles. I'll see if I can post some of them.
I thought that was HipHopGamer. Least Geoff says they're gonna show footage, they show footage. If it ain't good to me, it ain't good to me and I move on to something else. Easy.
A friend told me that's what happened to Kotaku. Hmm. Anyway, I think sites like Bitmob and Dualshockers are better suited to becoming big than HHG (u mad? lol).
How come this guy hasn't posted any pics or screens of this letter, or any direct quotes? Anyway, if IGN's got the cash, they'll give the coverage. No use whining about it (except for hits).
The last time I saw those brush strokes was in MGS4's trailers. Huh. I like your idea though. Will see if i can do something about it.
I'm more familiar with Avid Media Composer than Apple Final Cut Pro. Does that mean FCP is less popular or not as successful? No.
Nielsen really has nothing better to survey.
@harv:
I'll concede to that, bro. I don't know what the guy's got going on in his head, be it his show or grammar but it's good to know that even if I enter an HHG article, there's some intelligent people to who know their stuff.
By that standard, why not compare Project No. 13 and Gears of War 3? Both are sci-fi, third person, hardcore shooting games. Or Silent Hill and Gears of War 3? They both have shooting, third person and horror elements, and are meant for the hardcore. It's more than enough to warrant a comparison. /s
Okay, so tell us then: What makes us, critics of HHG, so special that you target us? Why not target movie reviewers and book reviewers when they slam something like Twilight, saying how they haven't shown they can do better than Stephanie Meyer?
We're not HHG's friends or compadres - he wants an audience to watch his shows and to cut him some slack for all the crap he puts out. It just doesn't work like that, no matter where you go. And if HHG can take the vie...

Yeah, I was thinking what possibly could be a dumber flamebait story than HHG's current one. Luckily, GamesThirst came along and didn't disappoint. :-/
"In this case there’s still some story left in David Jaffe’s brain that hasn’t been uncovered."
This is why you should avoid double negatives in your leads. Because you'll get confused. For example, "hasn't been uncovered" means the same as "has been covered". So HHG is actually saying:
"In this case there’s still some story left in David Jaffe’s brain that has been covered."

Ah yeah. Forgot about those. Nah, those run for about 3-4 months tops till the next trade show, and then the cycle begins anew. Gotta love games journalism. /s
