Then it would have the biggest fall off of any PlayStation - which is highly unlikely.
OT: It's selling faster than the PS2. So yes, VERY PS2-like
You'd have to be naive to not see the dynamic between the two companies' stance towards releasing numbers this gen. Sony tells us both their shipped (usually in a financial report - where it is standard procedure) and sold-to-consumer (generally at Game Events).
Microsoft, if memory serves correctly, has only ever told us sold-to-consumer once, while releasing shipped numbers the majority of the time. Sure, what's good for the goose is good for the gander, but in ...
It's a financial report, bud. You'll only get shipped numbers with that. There really isn't a need to worry about it in the first place - Sony are far in the lead and have had no trouble releasing sold-to-consumer #s when they wanted to.
In fact, if not prior, by Paris Games Show, I'm sure we'll here the latest figures (i.e. not shipped).
I'd say Heavy Rain was the sleeper, while Until Dawn is expected to be good. Many people thought the former would flop (and some had reasonable arguments), while others just regurgitated the same rhetoric, claiming it was "too niche" and contained "too many QTEs". However, what it actually ended up proving was that those kinds of games can work and there was market for them.
Thus, now you have companies like Telltale and SuperMassive Games that conside...
I know, and that's on top of so many other games on the system this year! I know most people won't agree, but I genuinely enjoyed The Order: 1886. Looked great, played great. Just was a bit on the short side (which is about my only gripe). I wanted more, which is what games should always strive for - making the player want to see what's next!
MLB was fun, too, so that leaves me with Everyone's Gone To The Rapture, The Nathan Drake Collection and my expected GO...
Just give me a Halo 5 bundle. All I'll need!
Edit: A Tomb Raider bundle would go over nicely, too, but considering the release date, I'm more doubtful for that.
Bubs for you! And I know exactly who you're talking about, too!
It being a AAA game or not shouldn't matter (though, I'm not sure how reached such a conclusion, given the engine it runs on and the full backing from SCEi as a retail title).
@ spacedelete: Seems like you want the game more than many others, since every article discussing it is infected by your nonsense.
Seems like Square updated after the show. We STILL don't know what the NX is.
No point. These games sell best in the East, a place where the Xbox has no presence worth discussing. Couple that with the PS4's global lead and you have, nearly, the PS2 era all over again!
Who's unhappy about it?
Edit: It seems the device is definitely confirmed for a sooner-than-I-suspected release, and is a home console.
Won't be an Xbox One version, jokster! ;P
Anyway, glad to see this finally announced. Whether localized or not, I'll be picking up the PS4 version (it's the only console version they'll be and I have a feeling it's going to kick some serious tush)!
And you could have just as easily backed up your claims, instead of avoiding it and looking like you pulled something out of thin air.
Conclusion: you were trolling, as others pointed out, and thus have nothing tangible to offer. Glad we cleared that up.
Tell us, what does the PS4 being the choice for Street Fighter have to do with a beta having issues? Are you implying that another machine (that, YES, you DO favor), wouldn't have such issues? If so, you'd have to prove that to be the case - by showing other projects in the same boat, as a result of their PS4 exclusive status.
For a guy who prides himself on being bipartisan, you never fail to put down one machine on a more constant basis. This is exactly why many peo...
You're making bold statements, sir. How about a source?
Yes, because this and DRIVECLUB are in the same boat.... -_- At least TRY to make some sense, here.
OT: That's the exact purpose of a beta. Good thing they're dealing with now, long before release!
You can't call it a Sony screw up when you don't know how the deal went down.
OT: Not that I'm too concerned, as I'll get it on the X1 when I'd like to play it.
@ showtimefolks: What rumor is there to go off of that would explain a "Sony screw up"? Insomniac wanted to own their own IP. They moved on and did just that. How did Sony mess up in that? They're an Independent company. Always have been.
@ thisgamer503: I've said the same thing throughout this entire conversation (and provided you, and others, with info that directly contradicts what you've said in here). You made a claim that Sony "bankrolled" Capcom, yet, I provided you with a source that completely obliterates such a claim. You did nothing to back it up, but I'm backtracking? Pure comedy! :D
Like I said, when you're ready to dispute the actual info, instead of trying to discredit ...
Deary me, so much wrong here. Sony needing saving in 2015?

Moving on, Halo has never been any major threat to PlayStation and the rest of what you posted is so much wishful thinking/hoping, that it's not worth the effort to tackle.
I would advise a closer look at the current climate...
