I'm disappointed. The secret stage in Bayonetta 3 was not bad, but its gameplay, for me, wasn't fun enough to justify a whole game (especially a full-priced one). I was expecting a few DLC stages to finish telling that plot (for maybe 20 dollars). Although I love the series and pre-bought the last two games, I think I'll wait for some reviews for this one.
When I was young and I heard an RPG took around 30 hours to complete, I thought it was too short. Nowadays, if I hear a game takes more than that to be finished, I'm like "ain't nobody got time for that".
For example, I want to go through Dragon Quest XI's story, but Google tells me that if I keep to the main quests, it will take 57 hours to finish. 57 hours without even doing any sidequests is just too much.
I'm glad Nintendo gave the opportunity for this fantastic series to keep existing.
They really should have also given them the necessary hardware for their vision to come true, though. I hope that Nintendo's next console have backwards compatibility and that it raises performance of current Switch's games.
That's great, since it's the main reason I stopped playing it on the PSP. I'm not sure it'll be enough to pull me back to it once again, especially since the plot is not my cup of tea (I hate the "I have a very good reason to be doing this thing that seems evil, but you wouldn't understand it if I explained" plot device), but it does count as a huge plus.
Is this supposed to be weird? Here in Japan game companies sell a wide array of products featuring their characters, so this looks completely fine to me. At Capcom Store I even almost bought Resident Evil bath salts (which I only didn't because I take showers and not baths)
Does the plot get better after the first few hours? I'm playing it (the not-director's cut version on Game Pass) and the beginning of the game is a huge let down. It just feels like Kojima wanted to see how many weird things we could cram together.
I really like Disney Magical World (1 and 2) for 3DS, and when this Disney Dreamlight Valley got announced it got my curiosity, but since this game will be free to play and it's made by Gameloft, I really feel it'll not be nearly as good as those.
Well, free to play, I'll give it a try, but I'm setting my expectations waaaay low.
Yes. I'm tired of games padding the playtime to appear longer. And gamers saying "if it's less than a hundred hours, it's not worth my money", making publishers think every game need to be that long.
I liked Persona 5, but the dungeons were so long and took so long to beat that at some point I can't help but think "ok, I got the point, can I move on with the plot?"
I also liked Xenoblade 1 and 2, and I wanted to see the story unfold, but t...
Funnily, in FFVII Remake, those added stuff about timelines made no sense because the series never had anything related to that up until that point. However, in FFVIII they would make sense since the original plot is already based on time travel and whatnot. So what ruined FFVII Remake for me would be an interesting idea for the reimagining of FFVIII.
Square really doesn't understand what's a remake and what's a remaster. They've been using "remaster" for everything since this word became popular.
Well, except for FFVII Remake, which wasn't a remake but a pseudo-sequel. Which proves that they really don't know the meaning of these words.
Advice for the site: when showing images that are so similar, it would be great to be able to display them bigger when clicking on an image, and even better if we could toggle the two images. Seeing the images so small makes it very difficult to see any differences.
It looks like they announced that the battle system will stay the same. It's a pity, the slot system was the main reason why I quit playing it, and the reason I won't buy this new version.
I feel all kinds of wrong... Sonic is fast and they showed fastpaced bits in this video, so this song really doesn't fit.
Also, why focus on combat? It's the least liked aspect in Sonic.
I really think they should focus in making the basic Sonic gameplay work first. What the last "few" Sonic games showed us is that they still didn't. And now they want to throw open world into the mix, which by itself brings a lot of challenges to make an actual good gam...
Funny, my problem with Game Pass is that I can't keep up with all the games I want to play.
Although I don't limit myself to AAA games.
One can only hope they will announce they'll ignore the first part as a Nomura mushroom-trip incident, and announce a true remake instead of the pseudo-sequel Kingdom Hearts-vibe alternate timeline thing we got.
I played it for around 45 hours (although the last 20 hours or so I wasn't really enjoying it, it was more like "I WILL find out why people praise it so much" - and even the first 20 hours was more like adjusting to the game and trying to understand it instead of actually having fun), but I gave up on it. WIthout a gripping story (or even interesting side quests) to push me forward, I can't make myself keep playing it. My gameplay was mainly like "oh, another boss. [and...
I started the game thinking I would match Alex with Ryan, but she was just a perfect match for Steph.
To be fair, it's not everything wrong with Sonic.
Because there's so much wrong with Sonic for the last years... So much.. It can't be condensed into just this newest problem.
As if SNK bosses were not already too unbalanced and not fun to fight against, it seems they take pride at it with the sentence "take on the cpu from hell", like it's a good thing.
Fighting the last boss in SNK games is not something we want to do, it's just something we endure to be able to see the ending. Making a new mode specific to fight an overpowered boss is weird. Well, at least it's free.
I hope it happens the same to streaming services going back to Netflix.
