I hope this means the story in KoF XV will be better than the story in XIV.
I still prefer the 2D sprites from XIII, but this does look better than XIV. Let's hope the story is also better.
It is a very good game, but I think people exaggerate on how good it actually is. "No game can ever be considered truly perfect, but Hades comes awfully close", for example, it's just too much.
Hades is one of those games which I don't really get why they are so praised.
I mean, I have it, I beat it, and it's a competent roguelite, but people compliment its story and characters so much while I found them... ok. Some do have interesting personalities, and they do talk a lot, but don't do much other than... talk.
The combat is fun, but it falls into the same traps as almost every other roguelike/lite games, too few different environments, too many of the ...

It's a little funny seeing people in comments get defensive about CDPR, and seeing the situation now.
I watched only the first 30 seconds. I decided it would be much better so be surprised in person, so I closed the video and bought tickets for February.
I'll be hoping that the covid situation doesn't get worse to the point they cancel the opening, though...
The article... is actually saying the development of multiplayer component was put on hold to prioritize single player fixes. I don't think there's a more clear way to show that part of the team that should be working on the single player part was "stolen" to work on the multiplayer part, since they're still needed for the single player part to even work. jeromeface just lost face.
Why? They know every other company will have the same problems, if not even worse.
They should scrap multiplayer altogether. The singleplayer game design is very good and doesn't need an unnecessary multiplayer mode stealing resources from it. I'd rather they focus on good extra content like they did with The Witcher 3. It didn't need multiplayer to be great.
I'm almost 40 hours into the game, and I still like to go running or driving instead of using the quick travel function, just to look around the city.
"Un-CDPR like"? Can you give examples from other CDPR games in which you choose an option in the beginning that changes the rest of the game in a signifcant way?
I hope they add more FF things with him, like music and spirits.
Having such a rich franchise like FF with only two songs, no assist trophies and not even simple spirits makes me think that Square is being either cheap, or overprotective of its properties.
I wonder why console game developers just refuse to let us customize graphics options like PC games do.
Why make us choose between preset options? Why not let us choose different resolutions? Why not unfixed framerate? Why not let us choose which options to toggle off so we can decide ourselves on a nice balance between graphics and framerate?
It would've been better if this "ultimate" version used the better graphics from the first PC version, but what we got is nowhere near the disaster people are claiming to be. It's still a very beautiful game, and it's not such a big downgrade.
Although I really think Square should've offered a big discount for owners of the first version. (at least in Steam, where they can check who already has the game)
I always see Soul Calibur VI being discounted on Steam, and I want to buy it, but when I see the long list of additional characters sold by DLC and how much money costs to buy them, I give up buying it. I'm waiting for a (discounted) full version in the future.
I really don't like Kingdom Hearts, but after playing the demo and for being a big fan of Final Fantasy Theatrhythm and liking Disney songs, I decided to buy it. The gameplay is fun, I hope they make another game based on Final Fantasy (or better yet, Bravely Default + Octopath Traveler) with similar gameplay. Although I do miss the more RPG-like mechanics from Theatrhythm...
When plugged into a 1440p monitor, PS4 Pro outputs 1080p. So it appears a little blurry.
It doesn't even give us the option of 4K and letting the monitor downscale.
