Your logic fails to take into account which groups are repressed. Historically, even nowadays, minorities like black people and LGBT people have been victims of prejudice and even violence just for them being who they are.
Usually when people say "being gay don't bother me", they mean "(...) as long as they don't show it", or "(...) as long as there isn't anything gay in my games and movies". Things like gay parades (or yes, even ga...
The existence of awards, of any kind, is meaningless. For the public, it doesn't change how much you enjoy a game. For publishers and developers, what's important are sales. The only ones who may get something from awards are small indie developers who don't have the money for advertising. For a big company that already spent millions of dollars in marketing, a "free" advertising from an award is nothing but a whisper.
However, I really enjoy watching ...
Their earnings are not modest. It's just that companies like EA and Activision give too much money to their CEOs. So much that even some Activision shareholders are asking for its CEO, Bobby Kotick, to get a big pay cut.
The combat is good enough. And if it was more flashy like in the other Ninja Theory games, it would've gotten in the way of the atmosphere and story. Senua is a tormented woman. Although she is skilled in sword combat, it is just enough for her to stay alive. If she was able to do all the acrobatic swordplay people expect from an action game, it just wouldn't fit.
Anyway, Hellblade was a pleasant surprise for me. I finished it and kept thinking about the plot and en...
The part where only one person needs to own the game (while the others can join in just by downloading the demo) and crossplay are nice things, at least.
Although instead of Crystal Chronicles, I wish they ported My Life as a King... I simply can't find any other games that are like that one.
I've been playing Sonic games since the first one on Genesis, so I'm used to all of the 3D Sonic's problems. But nothing prepared me for how awful Sonic Forces is. Even ignoring the terrible plot (because let's face it, nobody plays Sonic for its plot), the incredibly short stages with bad stage design, tacked on custom character abilities, and bad controls (in which they even managed to mess with the homing attack) puts it in the bottom of the list.
Still r...
I usually start to get tired of a game around the 20 hour mark, so I agree with him. Games that take around 15-20h are usually enough. More than that feels like just padding to make the game feel longer.
For example, I like the games in the Xenoblade series, but it after 60 hours I'm not even near the end, it's just too long.
"Oblivion is a better game it just needs a graphics overhaul."
And a complete rework of the "enemies leveling up with you" system and/or the stats leveling system. Getting screwed in the late game if you don't control your skill levels is not fun at all.
Some Morrowind and Oblivion fans treat Skyrim like it did everything worse, but not all of the changes were for the worse.
I'm pretty sure they created Carbuncle based on some kind of nightmare. The other summons turned out great but the new Carbuncle design is just weird and creepy.
Well, considering that probably Sony paid some good money for VR exclusivity...
The lack of VR on PC version of RE7 was insulting, and it seems Capcom will do it again for RE8. Capcom may have been making better games lately, but some of its decisions still reek of greediness like before.
"this time upping the ante on action a bit"
That's great to hear. Resident Evil is at its best when it perfectly balances horror and action, and although it went too far in the action department starting from 4 and specially in 5 and 6; 7 was too much in the opposite direction. I hope they managed to balance it again after what they learned from the recent remakes.
I'm more worried about them keeping the terrible and convoluted Kingdom Hearts-like vibe they decided to do at the end of this first one.
For some reason I could never get too into DMC (in fact, the one I liked the most was DmC, which most fans of DMC despise), but I love Bayonetta. If I had to guess, I'd probably say it's because of Witch Time. Puling it off feels really rewarding.
[SPOILERS!!]
"I didn't feel the ending, or the changes were convoluted"
Sephiroth opens a dark portal and invites the party to follow him. Aerith turns the portal white. Can you explain what was this change? Or what would've happened if they entered it while it was still black?
Also, why did they have to go through a portal to fight the whispers? And what place was that, since it looked exactly like the normal world?
Aerith goes ...
[SPOILERS!!]
The problem is not them changing the story. It's them creating all that convoluted and unnecessary ending about timelines, destinies, whispers and whatnot to justify it.
Barret being killed by Sephiroth? I thought "Wow, that's awesome! They are being really bold!".
Whispers save Barret because "it's his destiny to not die now"? That's just cheap.
It makes me remember when Pokemon Go was released, there was a guy in my office that loved the game and was playing it every day. Then, he appeared with some cheat that changed his location to find Pokemon more easily, and in two days he stopped playing because he caught all the available Pokemon.
I'm completely NOT against using cheats in single player or at least not competitive games, but I think the person need to really know himself before using cheats. No sense in...
I wonder what use these people have for so much money and Nook Tickets. I play just a little every day and I almost finished upgrading my house, while buying the clothes I want and having a long list of bought furnitures. This is even without investing in turnips, since I just don't have the patience for it. And regarding to Nook Tickets I bought almost all items that use it and have a lot of NT left.
I was going to comment just that, that it'll but just like HD rumble, something to make the controller more expensive, but nobody will use it.
If you ignore the battle theme...
