It's sad that Square went back to the d*ck/b*tch protagonist with Lightning. Although I don't like XIII, at least her change was gradual and somewhat believable, not "I'm a d*ck the whole game and in the last two hours I change completely" like Squall.

A couple of years ago I hated PC gaming because there was nothing I could play on it. Then I bought a good graphics card. Haven't stopped playing on PC ever since.
But I still buy consoles and portables to play exclusives, mainly the Nintendo ones.
Well, generally the PC version of any game has better framerate and resolution (and most of the times better graphics and online) than the console version. So a review of the PC version would not mention problems that exist on the console version, and the majority of players buy their games for consoles.

I bought the collector's edition of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 at launch. It's special to me... because it will probably be the last fighting game I ever bought from them. At least until Capcom vs SNK 3, if they make it someday, and even then I'll wait for the Super Ultimate Alpha Arcade EX edition.

What? I think you're talking about that system in Oblivion where the enemies got stronger as you leveled up. I'm not talking about that (even though that was indeed another terrible turn off for me).
I'm talking about how the skills you use have an effect on the number of points you can use to raise your stats when you level up. I think it's a valid idea to use skills to level up, but not to calculate how many points I can put in my stats.

The Elder Scrolls series seems interesting. It's too bad that the leveling system is such a huge turn off for me. I don't want to play a game always worrying if I attacked too many times, or if I didn't run enough to get decent stats on a level up. It's the main reason I gave up on Morrowind and Oblivion.
I hope they understand that tough is different from boring. The bosses in FFXIII weren't really difficult, but they took a loooong time to beat. After spending half an hour in a single boss battle, it's just not fun anymore.
The biggest problem isn't the existence of the Arcade Edition, but the first Super version. Why couldn't they release it as a DLC for the first one? The same thing for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom. Why not release it as a DLC? MvsC3 has support for DLC characters, why not at least sell the new Ultimate characters as DLC for the people who have the first version? Shouldn't the first adopters, you know, the guys who love(d) the company, be treated with more respect?

I love RPG and hate FPS. But your post made me realize how the RPG genre has fallen this generation. I think the last great RPG I played was Final Fantasy X.
Wow, that's a lot. People don't give a cent to game companies and they get mad when those companies have to try new ideas to make buying used games less attractive.
"Your" instead of "You're", "there" instead of "their"... English is not even my native language and it hurts my eyes when I see things like these.
And people still have the guts to say that we don't need a new generation of consoles.
