@Elemental_
If the only way you can defend the things you like is insulting others, it's clear who's the 10 year old here.
"its great to make things up isnt it?"
Notice how I sad "seemed" before. The gameplay was getting worse and worse, while they were putting more and more cutscenes. If you can find another reason for that, be my guest.
"you mean with more amazing games this gen than any other?"...
"Quality/quantity we saw in the PS2 generation"? PS2 marked the downfall of JRPGs. Developers seemed to be lost on how they could use the new tech to make great RPGs. Final Fantasy stopped being Final Fantasy, Breath of Fire died, every Tri-Ace game pretty much sucked...
Knight_Cid's list show how they still can't figure it out. FF13-2 tries to save a failed game by failing a little less, Pokémon doesn't evolve (pun intended), Xenoblade and many oth...
These are the top 5? I guess I'll wait some more to see if it's worth to buy a Vita.
No Code Veronica? Lame. I hate how Capcom doesn't give much importance to the game that was made to be the real RE3.
Very cool. She's even prettier than Morrigan, although Morrigan has that "dangerous look" that this girl lacks.
AKA The best fighting game ever.
Dissidia is one of the only PSP games that I really liked. Playing it in 3D would be awesome. The view of the camera used in that game (behind the character), would fit really well in stereoscopic 3D.
Yeah, playing a survival horror game for the first time must be tough. I still didn't play Revelations, but in the older RE's, you simply never had enough ammunition to kill every enemy.
By "missions" I was talking about those sidequest missions. They are all the same, don't add anything to the plot, it doesn't make any sense, like "Genesis appeared, I have to go there now! But first I will do these missions (and be teleported back and forth) to hunt for materia and whatnot in the same places that other missions made me explore for the 100th time". It was a horrible way to try to extend the game time.
You really like the DMW system...
I just can't get myself to like this game. I think that the CGs cutscenes are the only good thing about it. That DMW system is the worst one in any FF (including FF2), the missions are all the same and don't make any sense...
Maybe you should read your own sources. "Outselling Resident Evil 5 by a mere 40.000 copies in terms of total sales across all formats".
So it's more like "7.03 millions vs. 7", not "7.03 vs 5.8" as you say.
You may say "well, but my second source is Capcom itself and it says that they only sold 5.8 millions copies of RE5". Well, if you check that and see every version of RE4, it sums "only" 5.7 millions. ...
Here's the proof that no one reads more than the title. This version is for arcades, people! It only adds the characters who were exclusive to the console version.
Well, they could have written "The King of Fighters XIII: Climax announced for arcades" in the title... The way it is, it smells like flame bait.
That's why I'm in love with downloadable games - we don't have to pay those absurd taxes. That's also why I bought many more games for my PSP than for my DS, even though I didn't like the PSP games as much as the DS games. For the price of one DS game here in Brazil, I was able to buy 2 or 3 (or more) PSP games on PSN.
@nevin1
1 US dollar is around 1,7 reais.
I was expecting more. I remember the rumors saying that digital versions would be 40% cheaper. I know 40% is a bit unrealistic, but...
Until this day I don't understand why this horrible game receives so much praise. At least some reviews like this one show the true colors of this game. It's the worst one from the 16-bit era.
@slayorofgods
Below is a comment I made before in another article.
'Well, to be fair, they actually tried to emulate X (the best in the series) with XIII. They made a version of the Sphere Grid, they made a focused/linear game, they put more emphasis on the plot and the characters...
But they destroyed the "Sphere Grid" by making us follow a strict path; they removed any side-quests, towns and whatnot and made the game too linear; the p...
A couple of years ago people complained that all Square did was remakes of old games. Now I think that remakes are all Square should do...
Final Fantasy 8's opening CG is really, really bad. Not quality wise, but it's just a trailer, not an opening.
Introductions have to prepare us for the story, not be the summary of the story and show spoilers. In FF8's opening we already learn that at some point we will fight that sorceress and that Rinoa and Squall will get together at the end of the game. So much for that "Rinoa loves Seifer" in the middle of the game. Why put that in the game if it sh...
MvsC3's roster is terrible. MvsC3's mechanics are terrible. MvsC3's graphics are terrible. Announcing this so-called Ultimate version just a few months after the release of the first version was a terrible decision.
Really, it's very difficult to find things that are NOT terrible about this game.
KoF XIII is better in every department, especially the graphics, that's how MvsC3 should have been.
@Qbanj69
FFX-2 didn't have summoning either. It didn't stop me from liking that game. Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World had only two characters. It didn't stop me from liking that game either.
For me, the biggest problem in FFXIII & XIII-2 is the combat system. In every game that we don't have control over every character, we can move around with the one we're controlling, position him, and whatnot (like FFXII and Xenoblade). In XIII we...
