Seeing the sales of the last horror REs, and the sales of the new action ones, who can blame Capcom?
Since RE3, sales have been downhill. 3 (it still sold well, but less than the first ones and 4 and 5), Code Veronica, Zero, Remake... Even Revelations, the game that most resembles the old games, sold poorly. People vote with their wallets, and that's what's happening.
It still annoys me that people say Crisis Core was a great game. It's the only PSP game I bothered to buy in UMD, because it isn't on PSN and the hype was high, but it was a huge disappointment. Even bigger disappointment than XIII, by the way. At least I managed to finish XIII.
Wow, never thought I would see FFX-2 in one of these lists. It deserves it's spot on it. The cutscene with the "1000 words" song is great.

If your "best possible version" is not 3D, then it's not the best possible version. 3D can really change a game for the better.
Consoles are just too weak. I play Resident Evil 5 on my PC in 3D, with better resolution and framerate than the console version. The same with many other games. Once people play 3D in a good gaming PC and see that with power you don't sacrifice much (depending on the PC and the game, you don't even have to sacrifice anything), ...
It seems that you don't understand how stereoscopic 3D works. The "pop out" effect can be obtained either way. The "with-glasses" or the "no-glasses" technology only change the way the two pictures get into each one of your eyes, but those two pictures are the same either way.

Exactly. They like phone games. That they play on their phones. Why would they buy a console to play the same games? It's not appealing to either casuals or hardcores.

The idea is interesting, but I don't see why anyone would want that. Casuals won't buy it and hardcores already have PCs, consoles, handhelds and smartphones.
I love the attention CD Projekt is giving to PC gaming and all, I bought the two games and they feel well done, but... I just can't get myself to like the games. I always start them and give up after some hours.

I hate when people try to talk down to others by saying "stop thinking that your opinion is a fact", because most of the time we are just stating our opinions, not saying that they are facts. But there is no excuse in your case.
It doesn't deserve this score. It's the only game I played where the real adventure ends halfway through the game and the rest is boring.
Changing the stupid leveling system from Oblivion/Morrowind alone makes Skyrim better than those games.

I still can't understand why people like this series so much. I was excited to play the first game (Disney and FF together? Count me in!) but when I played it, it was disappointment after disappointment. It all felt wrong, controls, plot, enemies design, gold and exp "exploding" everywhere after beating an enemy, senseless addition of FF characters, the gummi ship sections...

I love how people don't realize that when they try to shut anyone up by saying "people have their own opinions", they are doing exactly what they are supposedly condemning. It's my opinion that your opinion sucks, and I'm free to say it.
I completely agree with you. People just saw a couple of trailers and screenshots, and they are shouting "this was the game that would save Square!", without remembering that Square just forgot how to make great games. If Square actually releases this game one day, I bet that these same people will be crying "this game sucks! Square is dead to me!".
