To me any game below 8 falls into three categories.... Awful, niche market, or cult classic. This one is probably a combination of niche and cult classic from what I have read today. Nothing wrong with that.
It is 65 on Metacritic so it isn't just IGN.

It has been a long time since PS outsold Switch in Japan. Demand for PS5 is strong and it is way under-supplied. Once supply is high Switch will continue to outsell PS5. Switch outsells PS5 by a factor of 6x right now every week. IF PS5 even comes remotely close to Switch they will do a price cut and keep their demand up. I don't see any logical way PS5 outpaces Switch in Japan.

Switch is a console and a handheld whether you like it or not. You can pretend the numbers don't matter for Switch, but the fact is they are badly outselling PS in the territory. In fact, Switch is badly outselling both PS and XB worldwide.
Nintendo is number one in console and handheld sales. Some people like to exclude them, but when you go to every retail web site on the planet Nintendo Switch is sold right along side PS and XB.

I do see it as a next gen release of a game, but. If it makes it that much better then my question would be why did they release this on the previous gen consoles? Sounds to me they did not right size the game to the last gen consoles. And to reward them because the game works better on this gen of consoles is just rewarding a bad behavior as far as I am concerned.
This game was released on PC as well. PCs have had ray tracing for a while and many PC ...

I am taking a pure wait and see approach with every developer/publisher. I don't trust that any will deliver a great game until they deliver a great game. I have been disappointed by a lot of so-called AAA releases the PS4/XBO generation. And there are no byes for me. I have been disappointed by every single publisher at one time or another.
OK. I do think the article has marketing speak written all over it.
But, Bioware made many successful games prior to Andromeda and Anthem. Instead of whining about what they did wrong maybe gamers should be hopeful that they are returning to their old selves where innovative RPGs came out on every game release.
The only place I can really fault EA on the Star Wars series is their monetization model for the Battlefront II game.
There was nothing wrong with Battlefront (First game), Fallen Order, or Squadrons. EA has gotten the monetization models back on track and I look forward to them bringing new Star Wars games.
At the same time I love that there will be now competition in the Star Wars universe of games and look forward to other devts/pubs keeping EA accoun...

If they don't have the overall design of the game generally locked by now then there is more serious issues.
LOL. So, a feature (Capabilities to do better graphics) that comes pretty much free with the new consoles gives it an extra point.

Really? I really don't understand how a site can give a game a better score then its original score. And how gamers think that it is "better" to build a game then re-release it.

The future of gaming.... Gamers choose their console of choice... NOT, games gamers want to play makes them choose a specific console.
The day that I only need to buy one console is getting that much closer.

There is always a lower performing console. Whether it be PS4 outperforming XBO or whatever.
If it isn't the fastest console then it is holding the fastest console back.

I doubt there is 45 mln active 360 users. Especially since a good portion of games are on backwards compatibility.
I don't doubt the crowds. PS5 is a very desirable console. But, they just don't have the stock and re-supplies are taking too long, and that's why the crazies are out.
