@Hikoran
Track record is only an indicator.
And looking at the past couple of years EA is cleaning up their act quite a bit.
Sure they have their typical sports franchises. But Star Wars Fallen Order was a really solid game and so is Star Wars Squadrons. They also just published It Takes Two. Apex Legends is doing well.
As for golf. They were milking it for sure, but they took a multi-year hiatus, and I am hoping they come ...
I disagree. Going forward there is a huge market for remaking classic games no matter what publisher you are.
I agree. Obsidian isn't interested in re-tracking old ground. They are moving forward and trying to build their own identity with new games. Gamers should be applauding that, not wishing for them to go back in time and revisit what they have done.
Name a company that has never over promised and under delivered on multiple occasions in gaming please?
Instead of looking that this as cynically as possible, maybe EA actually did something here and we should wait and see what they did.
I am not saying it will be good at all, but, rather then judging before we know anything for fact, maybe we should see what the product is and assess what they did from there.
Personally, I would love to see a new EA golf game. I do think they went into a "milking money" state in the last couple iterations, but t...
I am really hoping this lives up to expectations.
You do realize that three months is one quarter of the year right?
I don't trust any company or person working for a company but I think he has made a lot of good long term strategy decisions for XB.
Ya very disappointed when this slipped to 2021.
Ya, shows the journalistic quality of these guys. Not a very well researched piece.
My take is that we should quit speculating whether it will or will not and wait for the announcements.
Personally, I think it will come to PS5. If Starfield is this close to release then in September there would've been a PS version well into development. In the past with games on developers MS have acquired the games came to their announced platforms that were in development. Psychonauts 2 is the most current example as it is coming to PS as well.
Honestly this is just a stupid fanboy article and I don't know how these articles get approved.
I wish I could weed out opinion pieces in my news feed.
VR is a niche product. It is too costly as an accessory and there are fundamental flaws in the immersive experience it provides that makes it unusable to most people.
While I don't want to to see the physical new game market disappear, I think that consumers and retails brought it on themselves.
Publishers and developers warned gamers for years that if you don't buy new physical games developers would go bankrupt or be shutdown. This past two generations there have been many instances of perfectly viable developer going bankrupt or shutdown simply because one of their games did not perform well in sales even though the games d...

No, of course not. VR has been added as a Windows platform capability so there is no reason to make it exclusive.
How poorly will it age?
I have a second home/property in a rural area. I have a nice 1080p TV there that I bought many years back. I don't want to go and buy a 4K TV, because the network is OK, but it isn't like I have in the city. So I stream 1080p Netflix and other services. And now I have a XSS on the TV that does scaled down gaming for the TV and connection.
And the GPU/CPU/Memory, and SSD are all next gen. Just not 4K. It is just a sma...
@ActualWhiteMan
The faster SSD and the updated functionality of the CPU/GPU required a streamed down next gen device instead of a last gen device.
This also opens doors for MS to potentially do other things as well. I can see a potential Switch-like or fully mobile XB device based on the lower hardware spec as the generation progresses. By building a trimmed down device focused more around 1080p, its processing generates less heat and makes it easier to put in sm...
@CrimsonWing69
Strategic release of products is always a consideration for product vendors to maximize sales.
I think great hardware is a big part of Nintendo's success.
The appeal of Switch isn't just the games, it is also the ability to buy one piece of hardware for both portable and dock for home TV play.
Great hardware is not just performance. It is also form factor and flexibility of the device.
CD has really given this game great support.
