Although it was probably made with PC assets, it is much more significant.
I am looking at this one three ways.
It could be just based on a graphical update to the RE7 engine. In which case it probably won't be that amazing. That isn't bad (They have a good formula here), but it will be no reason for me to rush out and buy it. I will pick it up when it is cheap or there is a definitive edition.
Or it is a total next generation game and after it releases and some gameplay based reviews come out I will buy it.

I was hyped until I saw the base systems are PS4/XBO/Switch.
To me, it would've been better to wait for XB Series.PS5/Next Nintendo device. Now the graphics are a bit gimped. If they would've waited it would've been a optimized 4K / 60/120 FPS experience. Now they either give us 4K gimped or charge gamers for a fully optimized experience on new consoles. either way is not good.

I would expect that MS talked to MLB and paid for the development costs to get it on XB. In exchange, MLB agreed to put it on GamePass.

Sony wins because they get money for the development and sales, MLB gets money for the sales on XB too, MS gets the best MLB game on their platform and makes it available through GamePass.making XB gamers happy.

Unless the feature cannibalizing sales of the other manufacturer it just doesn't matter. People choose their console(s) based on their preferences. And in this case GamePass is not cannibalizing sales of PS or Switch at this time. It isn't even close to cannibalizing PS sales.

I agree completely. FF VII was a great game and is worthy of the list but Persona 5 runs circles around it.
I am not sure how that has MS stink on it.
One model suggested was F2P. MS does not do any F2P console/PC games.
Another model suggested getting rid of devts for analysts. But, in the MS take overs lately the studios have all expanded without lay-offs.
Leader for two decades? Last time I checked Wii outsold PS3. And Switch is well on its way to outselling either PS4 or PS5 whichever generation you put it in. The real leader in console sales is Nintendo.

There are very few games shipping as scheduled right now.
Remember, MS thought Halo would be a launch game.... Hellblade 2 has disappearred since announced, etc. And with Sony they had a trailer with GT, Horizon, R&C and Returnal as first half of 2021. Looks like Returnal is the only one making that timeframe.
COVID delays are just a reality. I expect that this year from MS we will see Halo and from Sony Returnal and R&C. Not sure there will ...
