Did you see the Christmas/End of Year update?
The game is feature complete and they are going through testing and fixing now. I expect early/late summer release.
Ya, people have to get off the high horse thinking that every game will be full 4K.
To me, make the game at the best framerate and resolution that makes sense for the game. Don't do 4K just to hit 4K and don't charge up the framerate just to charge up the framerate. Do what makes sense and gives the gamer the best experience for the game.

True, publishers do get a lot of money. And in the movie industry studio owners get a ton of money and the music industry record labels get a ton of money.
But, these entities have to get a certain level of product for it to sell as expected, so, in the game industry they pay development studios. If they don't give enough of a share to development studios they won't get a good enough product to sell, and development studios can't...
I don't know why anyone would disagree with giving developers a greater share sales on any app store.
Developers make games, give them more money so they can make better games.
Yes, they probably made full 4K assets as part of the development. But, graphics are only one part of a new generation of consoles. There is also gameplay and the environment. As the CPU and memory improved a lot in these consoles that allows you to do more from a AI, gameplay, and environment interactivity perspective. Because they are shipping on PS4 and XBO these possible improvements will not be there in the nextgen console versions.
I have a huge backlog so sales can take as long as they want!
Ya I have found myself jumping into the backlog....
I would be fine with the price increase but 90% of games ship with flaws that annoy me. I expect to get premium treatment by day one, not become a beta tester so that people that wait 6 months get it at half the price, the complete edition, and the game is 100% complete.
I save a lot with PSNow on PS. Essentially, the same service now, they just don't get day one titles.
Returnal!
Profit sharing bonuses are based on the profits the company makes, so if they make profits, then they get whatever share of the bonus they get. Quality of products has nothing to do with profit sharing bonuses.
Furthermore, just because a game is shoddy does not mean that the people on the ground did a bad job. Personally, I think Cyberpunk was just too ambitious for the hardware. It will go down in history probably as a game that should've shipped 5-10 years latter...
If you actually read the article rather then looking at the pictures, you will see most of the conversation is about Field of View (FOV). They are talking about how on PC they support large FOVs. I know that means very little to console gamers, but support 32:9 on PC is a big deal. Frankly, I might not even play the console version and just play the PC version because of that.
Wow, some Sony fans are desperate, Feeling like they need to come in on good news (no matter how you slice it getting S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 on XB and PC is a good thing).
MS does gets very few permanent exclusives like PS does. That is 100% known by pretty much every gamer on the planet. So chances of this game coming to PS in a year are very high.
Title should be "PS5 final got stock boost in Europe"!
@StoneyYoshi
Generally, I think that niche games do get lower scores when you get over 75 reviews on Metacritic. In order for a game to score above 80 after greater then 75 reviews it has to have broad appeal.
Demon's Souls is not a niche game. There are a lot of Souls gamers out there. That's why demon's Souls, Bloodborne, and Dark Souls all sold well. You can't call games that sell over 2 million niche games. I will agree there is a specific ...
@LucasRuinedChildhood
Some people are just idiots. A great game is a great game no matter what console it ships on. I have a thing against buying Day One now, but will be sure to pick this up when it drops in price a bit. Housemarque has delivered again!
86 on Metacritic is not a niche game.
It is not GOTY numbers, but 86 is broad appeal.
Even though Returnal is releasing tomorrow, I would classify it as more a May release and am looking forward to it!
Ya, if they would not have marketed the game so heavily then they could've delayed it another 6 months. But, instead they put themselves in a position where they had to release it.
@jukins
Sales of hardware are mattering less and less.
In MS' case, console sales are pretty irrelevant because a PC gamer is pretty much equal with a console owner. So, you can only measure MS' customer base by aggregating both the PC and XB owners that use XBL and GamePass.
In Sony's case, I can play PSNow on PC (and do). So, again, there is probably a small group of gamers not measured by console sales there. Much smaller then M...
"taking advantage of the new hardware" is pretty subjective here.
To me, taking advantage of the new hardware would be modernizing all game assets for the new hardware. All they are really doing here is improving framerate in games that were probably built to be able to do faster framerates.
It is not amazing for games to support a better framerate. To me, it is a given that games should've been made that way.
