Quite simply this was a business deal.
With the number of Street Fighter IV's released last generation, I am sure within a year Ultra Street Fighter will be multi-platform anyhow.
And MS already has Killer Instinct which is an awesome next generation fighter already. Why can't Sony have some limelight as well in the fighting genre?

I think both camps should accept that both consoles are doing well. In PS4's case it is selling exceptionally.
In the end, having two very healthy selling core consoles will benefit all gamers through the delivery of great multi-platform and exclusive games on both systems.

Sony never took Q4 2014 seriously. DriveClub and LBP3 are not strong entries for the holiday season. DriveClub was a disappoitment (they still have not shipped the PSN plus version, but fixed most MP issues) and LBP3 is a disappointment compared to previous LBP releases.

Consoles and PCs are very different.
PCs are for people who want all the power possible or like to fiddle under the hood and change hardware as it evolves.

I have no problem with news outside of the US as long as:
1) It is actually some news (Talking about X1 great sales in the US and then comparing them to India isn't even a comparison... US sold over a million consoles in the week, and india probably had a total sell through of maybe 10,000 consoles).
2) It isn't trying to make a fanboy point.
Maybe a news article talking about the adoption of gaming as a whole in countries like India, China, ...
Truth is, Sony is probably giving them extra marketing money to run a beta first and really it is just a glorified demo.

So why is DriveClub only 30 FPS? It is an exclusive to the PS4 isn't it? And it is a similar style driving game? Heck the X1 did 1080p and 30 FPS with Forza Horizon 2 so DriveClub should easily be able to make 60 FPS right?
You can talk about performance numbers until you are blue in the face, but in reality, it is starting to show that both consoles are fairly close in real world activities.
Nice to see 343 has been doing weekly patches to improve the experience. Still not sure if this will be the final patch though.
I don't understand why betas are exclusive and timed exclusive. A beta's purpose is to test out how the game will run in the real world.
To me, that just says they don't want the game to work well on the other platform...
Whether it be Evolve (Where X1 gets the timed beta exclusive or Dead Island 2)... It is just telling gamers, "Don't buy it on the other platform on day one, because it probably won't work".
While I agree that gaming will substantially change over the next 10 years, how it will change will depend on a lot of things and in Patcher's comments there are a lot of assumptions that may or may not happen.
