This is the difference between Sony fans and MS fans...
MS fans talk about what is and has happened.
Sony fans talk about what is going to happen.
MS has been consistent and clear each and every year since XB was created. They don't talk about the future until after the holidays. While Sony keeps dangling carrots that may or may not appear... Ex... The Last Guardian and its 8 consecutive years of being the greatest exclusive that has n...
OK. Where am I factually incorrect genius?
About two weeks back I packed up my PS4, PS3, Vita, and PS TV permanently.
I keep a separate credit card for PSN, XBL, Amazon, and all other purchases.
I am not saying Sony was hacked because I can't prove that, and I am not saying Sony is bad because they aren't. But my PSN assigned credit card had $15K of fraudulent transactions and Sony told me too bad because I don't have the extra protection plan.
I shutdown my Sony devices,...
I would rather get a 39GB patch then play a broken game...
Ideally, they should've shipped the completely tested and working game, but it is better late then never.
I don't see anything wrong with where X1 is going. MS has already published the following new IPs: Crimson Dragon, Powerstar Golf, Zoo Tycoon, Ryse, Max the Curse of Brotherhood, Project Spark, Sunset Overdrive, D4, Lococycle, and Disney Fantasia...
Meanwhile Sony has published Knack, DriveClub, Entwined, Escape Plan, Hohokum, Resogun, and Sound Shapes as their new IPs.
So, the current score on bringing first party published new IPs is 10-6 in favour of ...
I agree that people are not doing their research. You look at the sales of both consoles and they (for the most part) are not based on the quality of the game library.
PS4 is strong on Indies but has a bunch of weak first party published content (Mix of last gen ports/re-masters and a bunch average sequels and new IPs). PS4 still has the edge for multi-platform graphics.
X1 has a few strong sequels and new first party published exclusives, but is still weak ...
Both look great!
I drive a lot in a lot of different weather conditions. I don't see this as an apples to apples comparison though. In certain areas I drive, both are completely realistic.
Typically the console vendors will only have about one million units of inventory unsold at retail.
They know what their sell thru rates will be with pretty good accuracy. They can't really stuff more into channels because retailers will have problems moving them and then not ask for more stock. There has to be a nice even flow to the channel.
My 5 reasons that I prefer my X1 over my PS4...
1) Retail console exclusive quality so far
2) The operating system updates have been frequent and very useful
3) XBL is more stable in my experiences than PSN
4) Gaming stats / progile
5) I like the controller more than PS4.
I know many people will disagree, but these are my personal preferences.
The US market is the largest market for gaming, that is why there is so much attention focused on it...
30-40% of all consoles and gaming software sold are in the USA.
@jznrpg
Did I show any distinction between xb and PS4 games?
I'm just saying that (as usual) nut cases on N4G seem to think games in 2015 are going to be absolutely amazing. In reality, not a single 2015 game has had a review and therefore making such statements are "speculation" vs. "fact"...
There are some games that have had good PR for 2015, but that does not make them great games. Only the actual release and critical acc...
The quality of all the games for 2015 are questionable. Not one game has been reviewed yet.
You just have to look at how gamers were thinking about Killzone, Ryse, Knack, DriveClub, Watch Dogs, Titanfall, etc. to see that hype does not always mean its a great game.
Agreed. People are paying for a network service first and foremost. The games for free is icing on the cake. People are conveniently forgetting that to play most online games now you have to have the subscription service.
And if you compare number of outage hours per year... I am sure XBL is well ahead of PSN in uptime. I have very limited time each week where I can play games, if the network is not available that completely ruins the experience. I remember a lot more ca...
Hard to believe that Ori and the Blind Forest, Quantum Break, and no Nintendo games made the list. Obviously the writer should've called the story "Top games for PS in 2015".
I have no problems with this as long as it is Borderlands + All DLC, Borderlands 2 + All DLC, and Borderlands the Pre-Sequel + All DLC.
It would provide an easy 100 hours plus of gaming time.
But, if it is just the first single game it won't see a cent from me.
Given that Borderlands uses cell shading it should easily hit 1080p and 60 fps on both next gen consoles.
Between DriveClub, BF4, Halo MCC, Assassin's Creed Unity, and The Crew, I am no longer pre-ordering any games.
Every publisher has lost my confidence...
If they want my money, prove to me you made a great game with no issues.
Why do so many articles on N4G try to entice fanboyism?
Does Sony have to steal MS thunder? No...
Does MS have to steal Sony thunder? No...
I have an idea that always gets disagrees... Let's talk about games and the games industry rather than corporate performance and fanboyism...
Too many QTE's for my taste... Feels more like Heavy Rain with a touch of TLOU...
@McScroggz
I went and bought DriveClub. Not a bad game. Graphically stunning but gameplay and content were really lacking.
I don't think it deserved scores below 7.5/10. It was a game that deserved 7.5 - 8.0 scores.
