LOL.
The differences between 900p and 1080p are almost nothing. Ryse won best graphics in 2013 for 900p...
I could understand if it was 480p vs. 1080p. But 900p vs. 1080p is ridiculous.
So you have never bought a retail zombie game?
I do not know of retail zombie game ever released on consoles at 60 FPS.
Because of the number of zombies they have on screen at one time, holding 60 FPS would be very difficult. Especially if there is variety of zombies.
If you are waiting for a retail zombie game at 60 FPS on either X1 or PS4 you probably won't see it...
Agreed. You don't get three weeks before launch in 2013 and then say the game isn't ready. They knew there were problems long before that and they were not addressed properly because almost a year later it really wasn't ready for launch.
To me, DriveClub, Halo MCC, BF4, and Assassin's Creed Unity go down as the biggest screw ups in gaming. It has really given games a bad reputation this past year.
I doubt it.
You guys don't seem to realize that for a contract to be legal and binding in the USA it must have a duration.
Them confirming that the deal has a duration is really just saying they have a legal and binding contract.
Mass effect was a unique situation where the debt got bought out after they released the game. EA probably negotiated something with MS before the buyout to take it multiplatform.
1. Quantum Break
2. Tomb Raider
3. Halo 5 Guardians
4. Fable Legends
5. Phantom Dust
I doubt it will be 2015. All they showed was a trailer. And it is by a new studio so, I don't expect it until 2016 at least.
@CorndogBurglar.
WoW expansions are a rip-off because you have to pay a monthly fee to play the game to begin with. They should be giving the game and expansions away for free always...
As for Diablo Reaper of Souls, sure they waited two years, then re-release the full game plus expansion for $35... Adding a full 2-4 hours of single player gameplay and some additional game modes. Why didn't they just release it as DLC for half that price? Why did I have to re-...
$19.99 is a complete rip-off for any extension. They have not changed the game engine one bit to make this happen.
Extension/expansions/DLC have only two purposes... 1) Get money from people who pirate or buy the game used. 2) Rape the consumer who loved the game by making them pay to guarantee they have played the entire game.
Gamers have just become used to Activision-Blizzard Capcom, and EA expansion/extension/DLC rip-offs in games like WoW, Diablo, CoD...
I like that 343 is fixing this quickly, but I paid full price for the game and hope they come up with something good to compensate me for the first few weeks of frustration.
I have also have lived through the DriveClub frustrations. But, I have to say 343 has much more responsive and fixed their issues much quicker and better. I am hoping Sony compensates early DriveClub adopters as well.
I have no problem with my Xbox One. Killer Instinct is as good, if not better than Street Fighter.
And with Deadrising 3, Titanfall, Sunset Overdrive, Forza Motorsports 5, Ryse, Project Spark, and Forza Horizon 2, XB gamers have had no shortage of quality retail console exclusives.
I don't think it will make too much difference. But it will make adifference for about 2 million gamers.
Killer Instinct was the first next gen fighter and it has been on X1 for a year. So, if you were a real serious fighting fan you would've already picked an X1 up for KI.
What this will affect is the gamers that "have to" have SF... They will definitely buy a PS4... All 8 million SF gamers do not "have to" have SF... Let'...
There are a lot of gamers still on PS3 and 360... You look at sales like Call of Duty, Dragon Age, etc. They are still almost as strong on PS3 and 360 as they are on PS4 and X1...
There is still a lot of gamers that will wait until these consoles drop to $299 and $199 before investing in this generation.
Not every gamer wants to go out and spend $350 - $400 on a new console especially, with the lack of absolute must-have games that you cannot get on 360 and...
It would be alright if these articles would talk about AI, story length, and small touches...
But, almost all of these articles only talk about the visual aspects of the game. If visuals are the only thing that mattered nobody would've bout games for the past 45 years and wouldn't buy them for the next 10-20 years as well. Until every console can do 4K video and duplicate every aspect of the real world down to the dust particles games will not be fully immersive gra...
I bought every console this generation and last week I unhooked my PS4 and cancelled my PSN Plus auto-renew.
My biggest issue is the platform is built on indie games and I am a PC indie gamer not a console indie gamer.
I see nothing wrong with the PS4 and I may rethink my position after The Order and Bloodbourne. but, for now PS4 is sitting as a wasted $400 + about $1,000 in games bought that didn't live up to their hype.
These kinds of articles promote a focus solely on the visual aspects of games. There is so much more that makes a great game, story, control mechanics, gameplay, sound, art style, etc...
It is a shame and pity that these articles come out, because this makes developers focus their efforts on an aspect of gaming that is only one part of the equation.
If you want pretty, then you should go to an art gallery. If you want a great game, graphics are only one pie...
I don't doubt they can take XBL down. We have seen both PSN and XBL fall over to Lizard Squad.
But, forever is near impossible. MS and Sony has the resources to find out how Lizard Squad does it and fix it quickly. There are a lot more people, a lot more organized, and a lot more experienced with this type of stuff than the Lizard Squad.
And by announcing beforehand all they are doing is challenging MS to find them. I hope they do find them and I hope...
Too bad Bungie...
I've played, I've left, and I'm not coming back...
I didn't spend $60 for you guys to learn and adapt... I spent $60 for a AAA, well polished game that knew where it was going.
I think the list isn't really made by an XB fan at all... There seems to be a lack of knowledge on MS studio work.
Halo 5 Guardians has to be in the top 8. Also, Fable Legends... And finally Phantom Dust. I would keep Witcher 3, Tomb Raider, Batman, and Quantum Break...
Screamride also looks interesting...
I don't think Scalebound will ship in 2015. And Crackdown 3 won't be out in 2015.
MS probably has a few ...
Have you played Horizon at all? It is an arcade racer along the lines of NFS.
