Agreed. That was a teaser not a trailer.
But, I am kind of excited to see what they do with Robocop. There is a ton of potential for a good story driven shooter there!
I give it 6/10. OK, but not great.
I reserve anything below 5 for anything that is flawed technically. The game is very playable and does not have any glaring technical flaws.
I am interested in playing UFC 4, Tropico 6, and Builders 2.
The dictator in me loves Tropico!
And I have quit buying sports games for two reasons... 1) The mainstream sports games seem to constantly arrive on GamePass/EA Play 2) I don't want to spend full price on games that have very little innovation.
It is interesting. We are less then 5 months before black Friday, and PS is pretty much crickets about when Horizon Forbidden West will release, and they hold a state of play for one game and a bunch of indies.
When is PS going to show the holiday lineup in its entirety? I can't wait for that!
It is kind of funny how interest in a game decreases simply because Microsoft bought Bethesda. A game should be judged on its merits as a game, not based on who owns the publisher that publishes the game.
Great games will be great games no matter who owns the developer and publisher that puts them out.
Personally, I am not sure Death Loop will be a great game. I expect it in the mid 70's to low 80's.
Ya, Phil Spencer woke up one morning and said, "Gee, I wonder if Bethesda would be open to a $7bln buyout?". By that afternoon it was done and the next day they announced it. /s
That's not how things work in business. And I wouldn't doubt games like Ghostwire and Death Loop exclusivity for PS5 was a negotiation tactic. Same with the rumors on Starfield going PS exclusive.

The problem with most of the sports games is their innovation is pretty much max'd out. This is now a mature part of gaming with yearly releases. As with any mature product the focus is on monetization. You can't fault them for trying different ways to do that. 2K struggles with this on their sports franchises as well.
I agree with most of what you said. But, you can expect game sizes to keep getting larger. Every generation they seem to keep growing.
Back in PS2 era games were usually below 4 GB. 360/PS3 saw games in the 20 GB realm, PS4/XBO we saw games grow to the 20-120 GB realm. PS5/XB Series we will see game reach 300 GB. I expect that newer games like Assassin's Creed to exceed 100 GB. Then MP and SP shooter will get to the higher end in the 150-300 GB range.
People keep on jumping on EA, but they have released some pretty good stuff lately. Star Wars Fallen Order, Mass Effect Collection, and Star Wars Squadrons are three pretty great games released in the past two years.
They could've DLC'd Fallen Order, but didn't, Squadrons could've been microtransaction based but isn't. And Mass Effect they could've just ported and said, "Done", but they actually improved it. For all the negative press on...
Not sure why this is big news anyhow.
Sony are always consistently releasing great games. Now, if they started to fall off consistent game releases, that would be a cause for concern. This is not a cause for concern since they have released Spider-man MM, Sackboy Adventures, Demon's Souls, Returnal, and Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart in the first 8 months of the new console!
Honestly, I wanna know...
Are people still playing this game? And if so is it worth getting. I skipped it day one, and wasn't sure if it would be any good. Didn't see a lot of positive press so am wondering, is the any objective opinions out there about this game?
I shelved this game after about 5 hours of playing right after I bought it day one. Not sure if or when I might go back to it.
Why is anyone making a big deal of this anyhow? Everyone knows games fall off and get added to GamePass often. Other than the UFC games there is no significant surprise. and the UFC games are probably expiring licenses or shutting down servers.
People are making too much deal about what is coming on and going off of GamePass. I wanna see the news articles letting me know each month, but fans gotta relax.
To me, Halo needs to appeal based on Halo, not cost models or any trendy things that are happening.
If they do whatever everyone else is doing, then they are not any better and won't gain mindshare. They have to provide a game experience that is unique and drivers gamers to Halo. That will help it appeal to everyone, not just a younger crowd.
It is just as logical to own XB as any other console. I have all three (PS, XB, Nintendo), and the reason I have all three is that not a single one can do everything I want to do on it.
I bought PS for the action-adventure exclusives. I bought Switch for Mario / Zelda exclusives.... I bought XB because its platform allows me to play on many different devices, and I feel that the subscription services (XBL and GamePass) are the best subscription services on the market. ...

With your car analogy there are many cars that are more status cars then they really are premium cars. They have 95% of the features of Bentley or whatever but they aren;t as expensive and are higher volume. In reality people buy Bentleys to say they bought a Bentley rather then it being a real special car that you can't buy elsewhere cheaper.
@oldenjon
The way I look at GamePass is that if they keep bringing good stuff to GamePass I stay subscribed. If they don't then I will let it go. Personally, don't care about Microsoft's financials. I rate what is happening not what is going to happen. They can promise all they want, but I only assess delivery.
And so far GamePass has delivered for me. GamePass Ultimate is essentially the price of two games for the year. At any one time I have abo...
It concerns me when they don't even try and mimic the likeness of the movie characters. The only ones true to the movies are groot and rocket racoon. Gomora, Star Lord and Drax the Destroyer aren't even close.
@oldenjon
I think the difference between last generation and this generation is that MS was moving out of first party studios at the start of the last generation, and they are coming into this generation adding first party studios.
All is true on the subscription and free stuff. Not sure if it is cost eating or just changing the expectations of the business model. They never charged a thing more for BC last generation and still aren't. Their history isn'...
Indie is a short form for independent. I would argue that a indie developer like CDPR that has a huge amount of external investment is therefore not an Indie developer.
When I hear indie I think independent. To me, independent is fully owned and funded completely on their own so they are free to independently chart their game development path free of publishers and investors who are in it for the money only.
