The better the connection, the better it plays for sure.
But, as I have said many times before on things like xCloud... I see it as a secondary or very casual way to play. I don't expect xCloud to ever replace my XB or PC. I see it as just a secondary place I can play when my console or PC is unavailable.
Also, it gets around the issue of constantly downloading games. I can have primary games and then secondary's that I can play with xCloud ra...
6-12 months is elapsed time. I am sure it doesn't take all the devs/designers 6-12 months.
I would expect there is a ton of testing in maps to ensure they are balanced and people can't get tactical advantages simply by locations.
I am intrigued but will this be another short demo they sell or will it be a full game that is worth buying?
People keep talking about franchises that need a serious break. To me FF is the top of that list.
Ya, to me this game is minimally an 8/10 and on the high side a 9/10. Anything below 8 I think the person just doesn't like that kind of game. I think they did really well with this game. Can't wait for the sequel coming.
Ya, CDPR have been very generous with DLC always.
Honestly, all USA news companies get most things wrong. As soon as I hear "USA news media" I immediately think "partisan propaganda".
Anyone thinking Fox News and CNN are the best news agencies, are just delusional.
I have mine standing up.... Problem Solved...
LOL. Dude $10 is $10 more then games like A Plague Tale, Borderlands 3, Dead By Daylight, Descenders, Destiny 2, Doom Eternal, For Honor, Fortnite, Immortals, Marvel Avengers, Metro Exodus, Mortal Kombat 11, No Man's Sky, Rocket League, Star Wars Fallen Order, Elder Scrolls Online, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, Rainbow Six Siege, The Division 2, World of Tanks and World of Warships are charging for next gen updates.
The games getting Director cuts made a Sony a ton of money....
Outside of Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart I am not sure there have been any games that are "not doable" on PS4. In order for a game to need PS5 it needs to take advantage of the new memory size, new NVMe drives, or extra processing from the CPU. Graphically, I think any game could be on PS4 if the resolution and detail was dumbed down enough.
You have to remember that a lot of these games (this one included) ships on PC. And there are a lot of PCs out there tha...
Agreed. I played it for about 10 hours, and parked it. Will return later when the issues are almost all sorted out.
I hope all RPG developers learned a lesson from this. RPGs are all about gameplay and story. You don't ship an RPG without both of them being top notch. The Witcher nailed everything. CyberPunk needed a ton of work and sounds like it needs more.
This is certainly a lot better then lugging around a Gamez case. Don't really care how it looks it is highly practical for someone like me that travels a lot.
@White-Bandit
I am assessing up to this point. If they deliver solid Meta scores with Psychonauts 2, Halo Infinite, and Forza Horizon this year my opinion will change from they are doing well to they are strong.
I don't assess any of these companies on their promises. Assess them based on what they give me.
@TheRealTedCruz
Not, having a single new first party game since launch yet is not strong in my eyes.
To date, they have done everything right with the platform and the hardware. But when you look at first party games, XB has fallen short. Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, Returnal, Spider-man MM, and Sackboy's Adventure on PS.... Versus.... not a single new first party game from XB yet (7 months into the console).
I am not sure that means XB is strong this generation. But, they obviously have not made the same mistakes they made in hardware, game development, marketing, and focus that they did in the XBO generation.
There are a lot of games on GamePass.
And yes there are some that are GaaS. But there are just as many that are single player games. Darksiders, Yakuza, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, etc.
If you don't know anything about GamePass then don't assume.
I think Wii, Kinect, and PS Move were fine. The problem was when people thought that they were needed for every game.
Dance games - YES, Fitness games - YES, and there are some other game niches where these controls fit, just like a flight stick for a flight simulator, or steering wheels for driving games. But, as a "works for everything" controller, NO.
That's the problem, is people try and look at these as "the next big thing ever...
Looks interesting for sure. It looks like there may be a wagering system in the game. If there is that would be cool.
But with a release window in late 2022, I would expect that on PS there would be the new GT and on XB Forza Motorsport releasing around the same time. If this game was March 2022 I could see it doing well, But if the other juggernauts release around the same time that could be an issue for this game. Maybe the others come out in 2023 and that would work ...
@glennhkboy
I doubt that is the whole PS lineup for the holidays.
Agreed, I have been waiting for people who bought the game to say it is good, or has improved, but, I just hear crickets.
I will get this game eventually out of the digital bargin bin when it gets there. But, until then, it is off my radar.
It is kind of sad, I wanted to like this game. But, there have been so many fiasco's like CyberPunk. The only difference between this and CyberPunk to me is that I made the mistake of buying CyberPunk day one.
