Forza Motorsports 6 is coming just in time. I have almost got gold in every race in Forza Motorsports 5 and own almost every car!
This comment makes zero sense.
First, you can still play new games on the new console.
Second, this just provides gamers with an option. If you don't like it, no one is forcing you to use it.
Third, it is not like they are diverting resources away from new games. MS still announced a bunch of new first party games for the future and their 2015 lineup the rest of the way is very strong.
I really like Yoshi and Spencer's friend competition.
They both realize that real gamers like great games and great gaming experiences regardless of platform. They aren't afraid to give each other kudos and they both are there for gamers.
You obviously know nothing about Forza Motorsports. Turn 10 spens 6 months on each car model.
And you probably didn't even read the article because Turn 10 meticulously made sure that when a track has rain, they make sure the rain is how it would be in the real track.

It is difficult to believe that all those indie games will hit 2015. Indies have small dev teams so I would guess that many of them would have delays. We have seen a ton of indie games announced for all consoles, but they often get delayed for many months.
Unless a game has a specific date at this point it probably isn't a 2015 game or at the least is debatable as being a 2015 game.

Although I agree with you, I think the technical challenges because of the massive change of architecture between the PS3 and PS4 would be insurmountable.
Also, I am not trying to diss Sony, but Sony is not an operating system company. And Microsoft has probably the best operating system team in the world.

I don't think anyone is saying that the games are being essentially re-mastered by the X1...
I think what people are saying is that when you see most attempts at software BC, you typically never see any performance improvements. But what we are seeing with X1 BC is that it is improving load times and the ability to hold better frame rates than a real 360. I think this is the first time I have seen software BC done so well.

Windows Phone is selling about 9 million a quarter.
iPhone sells about 30-75 million a quarter.
Android sold over 200 million a quarter.
Smart Phones are KILLING mobile gaming devices. There is no competition. Android sells more in a day than Sony and Nintendo do in a quarter. If you are a dev do you target the 250 million quarterly sales of smart phones or the few million sales of gaming handhelds.
I played Geometry Wars yesterday. I thought the BC was great in that game. I know it doesn't really tax the system, but I was still impressed how good it is. I hope every game gets BC. Then, I will throw all my 360's away.
Standalone mobile device gaming is dead everywhere except for Japan.
Now, people play mobile games on their smart phones with iOS, Android, and even Windows Phone is outselling PS Vita. Only the most die hard of Sony and Nintendo fans buy these devices now.
I think you missed my point completely. There were next to no dates for Sony games stated at their press conference. I am not talking about yearly game spread, I was talking about the lack of any detail in Sony's conference.

I don't mind remasters, but why isn't playing the game the original way it shipped worthwhile as well? Doesn't that just give everyone options? Are options bad?
The Gears reveal should've just been a trailer. The problem I had is that they didn't show the contxt of the story. It had all the great gameplay we expect from gears, but with gears you have to understand the story context more.
The big concern I had (and always do) with Sony's press conference is the lack of release dates.
You get games like Last Guardian. With 7 years of development. How do we know which games will be this year or 7 years from now?
It is fine showing off the future, but when it is unclear when the future will be I just ignore it. Too many games get delayed and cancelled to do anything else.

80+ Million 360 consoles were sold. You can talk about RRoD, slims, etc. but the fact is there is over 80 million 360's out there.
Also, on any given night I log into my X1/360 and I will see at least 1/2 to 1/3 of my friends online with a 360. Some are playing their 360 and already have an X1 but probably about 80% of 360 gamers on my friends list haven't got a next gen console yet.
