It's AMAZING how when I read thru a DriveClub or GT thread there is maybe one or two Forza comments. Yet in a Forza thread it already has 22 GT references...

1 million across PC, X1, and PS4 after a month isn't that great.
First, you need a 4K TV. And currently there is no reason to buy one as 99% of cable, Blu-ray, and streaming is max'd at 2K.
Second, you need gobs of internet bandwidth for 4K streaming. Most homes today just don't have the performance. I have a twonky server full of 2K movies, and unless I am streaming through wireless 802.11ac I get lag. So, 4k would probably required only wired connections.
Third, the only games that could probably do 4K are ...
I doubt Sony is counting on No Man's Sky as its key to the holidays. If it is I would be questioning the wisdom of Sony execs.
But, Sony does have to pick it up for the holiday season. Until Dawn will be a solid exclusive, but that in itself won't keep everyone happy.

They start with solid graphics that they know they will achieve and the web flames.
Maybe, just maybe, there is more to a great game then just amazing graphics... There are things like environment, story, gameplay, audio, etc. People are way too focused on graphics this gen.
The games are good platformers. Meant mostly for younger audiences, but I have played through them all as well.
The continuation of the 500GB would give another option to consumers. Consumer choice is not bad.
Amiibo's are used in games and this adds to the diversity of games (Mario Kart 8 allows you to put Amiibo's in the game for example). If you don't like them you don't have to buy them. There is nothing wrong with "putting stuff on the store shelves". Whether people buy it or not is up to them.
Personally, I wouldn't. But, that doesn't mean no one else would. Yes, it is a gimmick, but gimmicks are allowed to be sold as well.
I don't know why so many people don't want the Sony and MS consoles to have more diverse types of games.
Everything does not need to be save the world, major complex, and have a mature theme to sell to gamers.
I think games like Skylanders, Disney Infinity, and Amiibo add to the diversity of the consoles. You don't have to buy the games if you don't want to, but by not having them you are limiting the diversity of games on these consoles.
He is still an idiot, and I think telling a story is very much about the medium you choose to tell it within.
He misses the point that the medium chosen to deliver a story can also improve or retract from the story. Again, a perfect example is Thomas Was Alone. Take the narrative and story and put it in a book and it would be 10 pages of absolutely boring. You put it in with that game and it creates something better for both the game and the story.

Jonathan Blow is an idiot. He made a great game in Braid. But, everything else he has said or done since lacks any sort of brilliance. The problem is that he has no original story in his head so it would be impossible for him to tell one in a video game?
Play games like Lost Odyssey, TLOU, Tomb Raider (Reboot), Resident Evil, Walking Dead, The Wolf Amongst Us, D4, Game of Thrones, etc... and there is plenty of great story intertwined with the games.

The power reduction is probably the downsizing of the chip size to a smaller scale. Hence the ability to offer the price reduction.

You obviously don't own an XB. And all you want to do is discount quality games. There is nothing wrong with any of those five games being called exclusives. You can't play them on a PS or Wii so they are not available on any other console. The PC is not a console, neither are phones, nor tablets.

I stopped reading at RDR remastered.
There is no way Rockstar would pass up the multi-platform sales for RDR remastered. You look at the success of GTA V remastered and there is no way either Sony or MS could afford to bring that title exclusive.
I think controllers are all about personal preference and your hand/finger size.
Personally, I have had no issues with the X1 controller.
And think that the trigger feedback is the best new feature added to a controller this generation. Whether it be steering and braking feedback in a racing game or gun recoil in a shooter, the X1 controller is one of the best for me.
So what has Naughty Dog done with the cloud in their games?
Don't get me wrong, they are great developers.
But, cloud development is not something they have specialized in at all. Even the multi-player in their games has been pretty average. Never mind them including the cloud in their games.
Just because they are great developers does not make them cloud specialists.
I don't see why Windows 10 announcements would be a disappointment. This is a MS gaming presentation. And Windows 10 is as important to MS as PlayStation Vita was to Sony. They have to give it air time.
I doubt it will dominate the presentation though, and will probably be only about 15 minutes of the whole thing.
