Remasters are out of hand this generation. They are good for the first year or two, but remasters now are a cop out.

I had both.
After having an issue with my credit card getting wrongly charged for a $15K trip to Hawaii I never took and Sony not helping I left Sony for good. Shutdown my PSN Plus account, removed my credit card info, took a sledgehammer to my PS3, PS4, PS Vita, and PS TV.
I wish I could play Bloodborne, but that's the only game I really feel left out on.

I agree. BC isn't a game changer. But, it is a nod to fans of the 360. Which will help them sell consoles to existing gamers who still have a 360.
Also, I have X1s and 360s. Now I can eliminate some 360s because of BC. And I don't have to replace any 360s that eventually die. While that isn't a game changer it is more like a loyalty program.
What does matter is games... Disgaea, Forza Motorsports, Until Dawn, Halo Guardians, Persona, Fable ...

Interestingly enough photo realism games started with Ryse, Forza Motorsports 5, and Killzone Shadowfall. So if any games are following photorealism it is these launch games that should be thanked.

They don't get new sales from the games, they have a playstation partnership with AC and previously Watch Dogs, and they may want to re-master Rainbow Six games from last gen to this gen...

MS is simply trying to gain market share just like Sony, Nintendo, Apple, and Google. That is the goal of every company, get as much market share as possible. Consumers buying a specific console doesn't make it a winner. Wii sold more consoles last gen than any other manufacturer. Does anyone really believe the Wii was the winner last generation other than for console sales?

If you were playing gears for the first time would you rather play at 1080p, 60 fps, extra chapters, and improved game play or the original from x360? if you are playing for the first time you would be buying it anyhow. But, if I was a gamer that had played 360 Tomb Raider's reboot and saw the definitive edition on x1 I would have passed had there been bc. It simply didn't provide enough value over the original.

I don't buy the teamster arguement. Reamsters will sell if they add value. If a remaster does not sell well it is not because there is BC. It is because it offered nothing significant for gamers to buy it.
A perfect example of a good remaster is gears ultimate. Game play has been enhanced, there is new story chapters, and it is visually lifted. It should sell well even with bc because it adds value.

Sales of games are important, sales of consoles are not. A console is only one device to deliver a game.

Lag only affect multiplayer and online game functions only. It does not affect a single player campaign that does not need a connected environment.

Not everywhere gives you a choice of networks. My home in the city is 0 lag. But, my second home is in a place where the only available internet is wireless. I don't have any other choice.
