Neither platform is dry. The third party stuff covers most of the year just fine. I just have a hard time seeing BC as a step backwards when it gives gamers option and it is not coming at the expense of great games. The MS platform engineering group built this feature, not MS game studios. So, they are not redirecting resources to make this happen.
I think what they mean is that MS made an announcement about tracks and number of cars and no matter what version you buy you get all that stuff.
Why would you buy a $100 version of a digital game without additional content?
lol. Of course it isn't in the game. HoloLens is not out yet... Nor will it be this year.
LOL.
Gamers whine about having options...
MS gives them options and they whine that MS is going backwards not forward...
The hypocrisy is awesome.
This just gives gamers more options to play their past backlog or nostalgia from 360. There is absolutely nothing wrong with giving gamers this option.
It is not like this was the highlight of their show. Recore, Halo 5, Rise of Tomb Raider timed exclusive, Fab...
Yep Sony is looking forward...
Their highlight games for the rest of the year is:
Uncharted Collection and God of War 3 Remastered...
And that is looking forward how?
I don't see any ship dates. Are you sure they will all ship this year?
That's the thing with Sony. They brag about games for years before they ship...
Horizon = No Ship Date
Ratchet and Clank = Delayed to 2016
Tearaway Unfolded = Port from Vita
God of War 3 Remastered = Remaster from PS3
Uncharted Collection = Port from PS3
Disgaea 5 = Disgaea did not rate 80+ on any PS3 iteration last gen
Dragon's...
I think people have to get a few things straight.
The PS4 has ZERO backwards compatibility. I cannot take a disc from the PS3 and put it in a PS4 and play any games. Also, I cannot download anything I purchased digitally on PS3 and play it on a PS4. The only way to play past gen games on PS4 is through PS Now.
PS Now is a service to play games through over the Internet. It is not backwards compatibility. The catalogue today happens to be past games. But...
If they make the BC list they will be available as you own them digitally. (As long as you are a gold member).

Console games are built for controllers. PCs have keyboards and mice. There are certain games like RTS that just can't be done with as much control and depth on a console as PC.
Gears has an endless suite of online gaming as well. You could probably squeeze 75 hers out of dmc4 to do everything. Gears will give you hundreds and even thousands of hers of online after the campaign is completed fully.
This is not bad. It is only PS4 gamers who think this is a bad thing for XB.
Fact is. People don't put PCs as consoles in their living room. They put consoles in the living room. PC gamers usually game in a separate room on a PC monitor setup.
Both coexist. Whether it be PS4 and PC or X1 and PC or all 3.
I game on both console and PC. I like the simplicity of console games, but when I want to play deep games I go to my pc!
Looks like PC is making a comeback as the preferred gamer's platform! Enjoying every second of it!
PC.. The only place where you can play Killer Instinct and Street Fighter V. The two best next gen fighters so far!
Lol. PS4 gamers call this a PS4 exclusive!
The superior 4k, 60 fps version will bee on PC!
Graphics don't make a great game. Gameplay, audio, story make a great game!
Yes, and that's what I want to focus on...
The track record of the creators, the story, the gameplay, etc.
Graphics do not decide a great game. Graphics are sensationalized marketing.
First I have to say I liked this game.
But, bragging about stunning screen shots should not sway any gamer to buy this game. Buy it based on the quality of the story, environments, audio, gameplay, and almost everything else please.
You would think that people would've learned after The Order.
That is the story of this generation...
Not much new, but what is old is new again!
So...
Last Guardian we knew was still in development as Sony stated so on many occasions (Surprisingly I was unimpressed. It looked like a puzzle solving indie game). Uncharted looked great but it was as expected. A bunch of indies like every year this gen. A whack of third parties talking about their yearly games (CoD, AC, and Infinity). Destiny got more token DLC. Battlefront got some space but we already had info from earlier in the day. PS Vue... meh... No Man'...
This is a game that just keeps on giving...
I will gladly renew for Season 3!
