I don't think MS' conference was much difference than 2013 and 2014 for content. All three were strong and it depended more on what you listened to...
2013 - Ryse, Forza Motorsports 5, Titanfall, Deadrising 3, Zoo Tycoon, Killer Instinct, Powerstar Golf, and Crimson Dragon - Future: Sunset Overdrive and Project Spark
2014 - Project Spark, Halo MCC, D4, Forza Horizon 2, KI Season 2, Sunset Overdrive, Dance Central Spotlight, Kinect Sports Rivals - Fut...
Sony - Next to nothing worth noting for the rest of 2015. But strong going forward even though only a few games have dates. Its like the promise that will keep on for 7-8 years (aka Last Guardian).
Microsoft - Strong end for rest of 2015 (Rare Replay, Gears Ultimate, Forza 6, Halo 5, Fable Legends, and Rise of Tomb Raider). Weak early next year.
Looks like its best to own an XB during the holidays and a PS for the Spring of the new year. MS exclusives win...
Bungie and Rare should not be mentioned together. Two very different game studios.
@Svinya.
I have every game released in North America except for 2 of them.
As for the number of games across regions, X360 has about 2,800 games.
FYI. I have driven some of the cars in Forza and I have driven on two of the real tracks.
I can definitely say Forza is a true simulation. The handling of the cars is spot on, and the track recreations are absolutely perfect.
So unless you can say you have played Forza, driven some of their real cars, and on tracks that are in Forza you are full of BS.
I don't know how it is underwhelming...
Halo 5 Guardians, Forza 6, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Fable Legends, Rare Replay, and Gears 1 Ultimate all before the end of the year! And spaced from the beginning of August through to December!
Then, Recore, Rare's Sea of Thieves, Gears 4, and a bunch of Indie titles on X1 and PC first.
And finally, a revamped interface to be revealed and backwards compatibility.
Glad I purchas...
Yep, just like PSNow it started in preview and had just a small number of games...
Rare made Golden Eye but does not own it...
Donkey Kong Country was also a miss.
This is awesome! Classic Rare games plus a lot of their best games from last generation all in one bundle!
The value here is amazing!
PGR3 and 4 are both MS properties.
I would assume if they can't get approval they won't be brought across...
Pity, but, MS would not have the legal right to make the game available on X1.
There are some significant issues with Sony even attempting this.
First, the cell processor on the PS3 was radically different from the new architecture that is based on PC.
Second, they would have to explain to shareholders the right off of the money paid to acquire streaming capabilities.
Third, they would be forgoing revenues that they have planned through PSNow. And they again would have to explain that to shareholders.
@Anoreexorcist
There were over 80,000,000 X360's sold. Only (Assuming every console sold this gen was to a gamer from last gen) 40,000,000 out of 275,000,000 consoles sold last gen have been replaced.
There is still a lot of potential to woo last gen gamers.
That is hardly fringe.
I have bought over 2,000 games for my XB360. This is a major feature to anyone who has any sort of backlog from XB360.
It also shows how MS is supporting the console over 10 years after launch. To introduce this feature and extend the playability of all these games is not just a "fringe benefit". It will probably make a lot of the remaining 360 players move forward to X1.
Especially once the holiday starts and the deals for new consoles start to ...
Fairly often lately friend functions are down. To me, without being able to play co-op, or talk to friends is a network outage.
Yes, nothing will be 100% but this generation XBL has been more unstable than the previous generation.
Rather than giving away games which cost them money, I think they should direct that money back into the network and make sure online gaming and online gaming social functions are more stable.
To me VR is a gimmick. I have Oculus Rift and it is very cool, but it only last a week or two before I shelved it with all the other technologies that I shelve after a few uses. The social issues with VR as stated by the narrator were the killer for me. You just wouldn't play it with a bunch of friends at home, and unless you are alone at home and free of all interruptions the technology becomes annoying.
That does not mean it doesn't have a use though. I think th...
I'm tired of free stuff with Gold. I want the network to be 100% stable.
Unlike everyone else on this site that don't seem to have a real job I have limited time to game. So, when I go on XB Live I want it to always just work. There have been too many times this generation where something was unavailable when I wanted to play.
Screw the freebies and put the money to make sure the network always works when I want it.
I see a lot of household incidents with this kind of setup...
Morpheus completely covers your eyesight... Add move for motion stuff and there could be a lot of interesting you tube videos of people running into walls, smashing TVs, and falling back over couches!
I know a lot of people that bought a PS3 just because of this game.
I haven't seen them announce a definitive ship date yet...
Last year both games only saw trailers. I expect that at Gamescom they will see some more story and some gameplay. If they do they will be either next spring or fall titles.
But, as with any game it should be "done when it is done". Frankly, I quit buying games day one because they are pretty much all broken messes day one now-a-days. It seems like game ship dates are simply a target...
Remastered games no... Games only ported to this gen yes.
Ex. Halo MCC with Halo 2 completely remastered no... Gears Ultimate remastered no. But Metro ported to this gen yes.
