I'm ok that Capcom remasters their games for this gen and the price they've tagged onto the remasters has been appropriate.

But, please do some new stuff Capcom!

So why would people buy a PS4 now then rather than waiting until it drops in price, the current games are cheap, and the high quality AAA IPs are released?

I spent 8 hours going through the Halo 5 campaign.

Some make think it is nothing but for me it was actually enjoyable. It isn't the best Halo campaign, but it isn't the worst neither.

MS was clear that they wanted an online device. So, Titanfall was in development and they pushed it along. Since then, MS has had solid SP experiences in almost all their titles.

Why don't they just call it a demo?

If they find anything major wrong they won't be able to fix it before launch.

What I find most interesting is that Sony has aligned themselves (marketing wise) with two games that are essentially online only experiences.

Destiny and Star Wars Battlefront. Why is everyone still supporting Sony when they are pushing gamers to online only?

And I see its made a lot of difference to sales at EA.

To me, Tomb Raider is great. It has platforming elements, it is a collect-a-thon, it has crafting, the bow is the best implementation of a bow in any game, it has stealth, it has action, it has puzzle tombs, and it is a darker game than uncharted.

But, both games are really amazing!

@WickedLester
That does not change the dynamics that I mentioned in my comment.

There still is not enough technological change to launch a new generation. I figure every game will have to be able to hit 4K and 60 FPS next generation.

There are games that push the current consoles, but there are still no games that really set these consoles apart yet. Those games are probably coming, but right now all the games have been incremental change over the p...

First, there has to be enough technology change for a new generation to start. And that really isn't there yet.

Second, I don't think there has been very many games yet that have defined this generation. We need more games that we can say, "Gee, that is something new and fresh".

Third, With the multi-billion dollar investments required for each generation the console vendors will be waiting for an adequate pay-off.

Therefo...

This just speaks to the state of gaming in general.

It used to be that I would buy a $50-60 and it was complete. Didn't feel obligated to spend a cent more ever.

But, then rentals, used game sales, and pirating became more popular then buying a game new. So, publishers sat down and came up with ways to make additional money from games to cover the rental, used game, and pirating market.

Well, gamers keep it up. Pretty soon every game w...

I'm not sure what planet you are from. But there were three reason PS3 lost exclusives. They were:

1) Microsoft spent a lot of money to get developers to make their games on 360. (Rumor had it that MS paid $50 million to ensure GTA IV was a first class citizen on 360).

2) Microsoft had a better architecture on 360 than the proprietary architecture of the Cell processor on PS3, so developers flocked to it... In much the same way ...

Console sales mean next to nothing. That is a fact.

The Wii was the best selling console last generation. But, it never had near the attach rate that X360 and PS3 had. And really never brought the core gaming crowd to it.

Microsoft is completely right in changing the measure of success because it was always wrong to begin with. Console vendors don't make their money purely on the hardware. They the money on their hardware, accessory, media, royalties...

Microsoft came and cleared out the IBM Monopoly in the mid 1980's. Netscape tried to kill them and failed, Java tried to kill them and failed, the US government tried to kill them and failed, Linux tried to kill them and failed, Apple tried to kill them and failed, Google tried to kill them and failed.

Sony has no chance of killing Microsoft.

I completely agree.

You take the battlefield frostbite engine, beef it up graphically, add star wars and even if it is short on content it does not make the game a 4.5/10.

Kinect Star Wars which was a broken game is at 55 on Metacritic. I don't care what they did, it won't be any worse than Kinect Star Wars!

MS doesn't have to do a thing. If VR catches on, MS simply installs the Windows 10 Oculus Rift drivers on Xbox One and Voila! Xbox One supports VR. It is a Windows 10 device and it is that simple now.

Secondly, HoloLens is a stand alone computing device of its own. You will not need XBox One or a PC to use it. MS has stated that on many occasions.

Obviously you and the many other people harping about this in these comments do not own or are part of the Forza fanbase.

The option to buy tokens has been available in every Forza game since Forza Motorsports 4. It isn't really an insult to the fanbase giving the same option they have had for 5 games now.

Tokens do not progress you through the game any faster. No matter what you have to race in all the races to progress. All tokens do is allow you t...

Yes I was wrong with the SSHD.

It is still really fast compared to the previous X1 drive though!

I bought the MS Elite console (More for the SSD drive) but it came with the Elite controller. It is completely worth the money. The sticks are smoother, multiple d-pads, the buttons on the bottom are really functional for action and fighting games, you can customize everything, and you can save multiple customizations and switch between them.

Not to mention the controller has more metal parts and a nice rubbery skin adding to its durability and general feel. By far the best...

Background music should be much easier now that X1 is a Windows 10 device. The plumbing is now there to do that!

To me, this is the best tomb raider game so far. Tombs are awesome, salvaging encouraged, levelling of skills/weapons/abilities encouraged, exploration encouraged, stealth encouraged, and the story is solid.

They took a solid game from the reboot, refined it more, and made it even better. That's all you can really ask for.
