@Chameleon77.
Although I own MGSV I haven't played it yet. I'm sure it is good. Just can't give an opinion myself though.

For me, Batman was a disappointment. Not the best Batman by far. Personally, too much Batmobile, not enough focus on the exploration side.

It should be in the nominations for GOTY.

Bloodborne, Witcher 3, Rise of the Tomb Raider, and Fallout 4.

Winner is a matter of preference, but all are really, really good!

Game installs out of control?

No. At 900p and 1080p games have about 4x the resolution of the previous gen, so it makes sense that games could be 4x the size of the previous generation. Also, campaign lengths have gotten longer in general so far this generation so you'd expect bigger game sizes as well. So, if you want games to continue to evolve and expand how realistic they are, this is the by-product.

Patching is out of control!

4/5 to review a drive?

wtf?

I can buy any random external drive, hook it up to my X1 and get the same result. Guess every drive gets a 4/5!

This is not making your console in-home mobile. This is simply an article on streaming.

So, the writer rambles on about Tomb Raider and says absolutely NOTHING about the current game because the writer ADMITS THEY HAVEN'T PLAYED it yet.

Simply complains that Tomb Raider has went for more to the action side then to the puzzle solving side.

I for one am actually PLAYING the new Tomb Raider (Played for 10 hours so far and am only 1/3 through), and while action is a big piece of the game, I am enjoying the looting, tombs, and puzzle solving. It...

Let's see...

There are 27 million PS4 owners.

If 1% of PS4 owners buy the app at $10 each, the guy will make $270,000.

I don't know what living expenses he has, but frankly that would be ridiculous.

Its actually funnier to total the number of disagrees to positive PS4 comments to positive X1 comments in any given thread.

Typically, positive X1 threads get 10-20x the number of disagrees as positive PS4 threads. Shows the sad state of this site.

I have Oculus Rift and played it for a couple weeks. It is really fun, but it is not a game changer for every game. Then, ended up putting it away for good.

It makes games more immersive. And when you are home alone with no family bugging you and other distractions (aka phones) dealt with the experience is unbelievable!

But, the amount of time that a person that lives in a family or has no distractions that make you take off the VR headset is very nominal....

Yeah, it would be nice if there were more articles featuring the games that are coming through winter/spring...

Quantum Break, Uncharted 4, Naruto, Far Cry Primal, etc. etc.

We know what the outcome of this generation is pretty much at this point, and talking about it has gotten old.

And this is the problem with the industry.

To me the review scores are ok for these games, but that doesn't mean they don't have appeal and a market to sell to. The issue is that gamers typically buy (or don't buy) games in masses. The games are usually either a massive hit or sales are so poor developers layoff or get shutdown.

Far too often developers have been shutdown because gamers see review scores and say, "I'll rent it or buy it...

Given that MS did XB BC (without Live) on X360, they should be able to do the same with X1.

The Live part would be where the magic is. Because that was one of the first gaming networks on consoles, it probably had primitive security to the XBL network today. To allow games to run securely would take some pretty good magic.

That's fine but you do realize that these microtransactions do not help you progress or play the game any faster?

Racing simulations are grinding games, but Forza does not force you to do any race more than once to progress the career.

These microtransactions have been in every Forza game since Motorsports 4. You can easily progress the game without ever buying a single token.

These tokens are simply an option for people who want to have...

Battlefront is a "decent" game, and the gameplay really is solid, but lacking a true single player campaign and lacking in total content means that it only is "decent".

Buying it supports everything that is wrong with publishers now-a-days. An expensive season pass, no real single player, and a game that is shipping really only half done.

I don't see the issue. they will microtransaction it to death and people will be glad they were able to pay $50-60 and get the full game unlocked.

So how many games get almost 1.5 million in sales on one platform in one week?

The only thing rubbish is your comment.

3869d ago 10 agree9 disagreeView comment

LOL.

You are comparing Halo 5 selling to an install base of about 16 million consoles to GT5 which was selling to a console base of over 42 million when it released.

Talk about apples to oranges!

I loved all three Burnout games on 360. Revenge, Paradise, and Crash!

But, if a developer sees no need in BC when they don't really have to do anything to make it happen, I see no need in buying their next game.

Yeah, you would think Japan was an XB stronghold from these comments. I'm sure it is selling fine in the Americas where XB is strongest.

There are two replacements:

Hanno Lemke the current head of Euro studios. (Lionhead, Lift London, Press Play and Rare).

And Shannon Loftis current head of MS Studios Publishing. (Quantum Break, Gears, ReCore, Scalebound and Crackdown 3)

The last paragraph of the article mentions this.
