1. You are comparing software sales on a console base of 25 million with a console at the time that had a 75 million console base.
2. I don't think this deal had anything to do with UC4. MS seems to have aligned Remedy's Quantum Break with UC4. And I think this deal was mutually beneficially. Timed exclusivity, and Square was aable to avoid the UC4 window with the PS4.

Microsoft has supported the 360 amazingly. Sure there was a couple years where they pushed Kinect, but they have continued to bring 360 AAA games long after Sony has abandoned PS3 (Except for MLB).
For example, this year X360 got Rise of the Tomb Raider, last year a version of Forza Horizon 2 shipped on 360, and the year before Fable Anniversary. And then they gave X1 user BC capability for 360.

The loonie was $.69 at one time a few years back and games were maximum $69. Now, all of a sudden the publishers are adjusting to the Canadian dollar. Why didn't they lower games to $49.99 when the Canadian dollar was $1.06 American?

How is it surprising when PS4 has a 13 million larger install base of X1? There is not a single game on X1 that should sell as good or better than PS4.
Also, X1 users had a money draining situation this holiday. Forza Motorsports 6, Gears Ultimate, Rare Replay, Halo 5, Rise of the Tomb Raider, plus all the multi-platform games.
PS4 users had the multiplatform games, Japanese games (which sold like crap), and Uncharted Collection.
Sad. Really sad that this far into the console cycle we are still getting re-mastered to death.
Technically, in Canada it is not illegal to pirate. But it is illegal to distribute pirated stuff.

I wouldn't be mad at all and want it. In fact I want to play all of my XB games on PC including BC 360 games.
I want to be able to game on all my devices, not just the console. I don't know why anyone would want to limit the devices their favourite games are on.

I think PSVR is great, but I just can't see gamers wanting (or being able to) spend that much on an accessory with a bunch of holiday games at the same time.
There are still a lot of people that haven't even switched to this gen yet because they want to see $199 consoles.
And to date, the games lineup doesn't look compelling yet. I just don't see it. $400-600 is not an impulse spend for most people. It is an investment.

1) Why does anyone prefer to be able only to run a game on one specific console device? - The person is saying I prefer to only game on one device vs. being able to game on phone, tablet, PC, and console.

Japan used to be the center of the Galaxy. Now, Japan is becoming more and more like "just another country" for gaming.

Sony fans seem to think that putting games on more than one platform is bad. But, for me I think that being able to play my favourite games on my device of choice is great.

I want to be able to play all my favourite games on Phone, Tablet, PC, and Console. Not just one of them. And I want to play those games without having to stream them. I want them natively configured to the device I am using!
I quit pre-ordering almost all games.
First, if I won't be able to play it, why pay the day one price when less then a few months later you can get it cheaper?
Second, the pre-order bonuses are almost only cosmetic and don't add anything to the game.
Third, if a game does not live up to it's previews and billing then, I can skip it or get it cheap when it inevitably drops in price.
There is no advantage to pre-ord...
