There is absolutely no requirement to participate in Forza microtransactions.
I have been playing the game (unlike you obviously). And am finding it no slower or faster to progress then any of the previous Forza games (I have played Forza since Motorsports 3). And I see no advantage to the microtransactions other then someone who wants to make the game easier to play (which to me defeats the purpose of a racing sim).

If you only own an Xbox pickup Forza, if you only own a PS pickup GT Sport...
If you own bot, then pickup both and enjoy racing porn on both consoles!
I simply refuse to pay anything more for a game then what I do on day one.
And if the game turns into a grind fest to get thru it I drop it quickly.
I completely agree with hammering games for loot boxes.
But, I have had the game a week now and have not had an issue with loot boxes or credits. I did four races the first session and got three cars... Did another four races and now have 6 cars. So, after 8 races I have 7 cars.

Unless you have been living in the Antarctica without internet access for the past 2-3 years it has been very clear from the start that Microsoft has marketed Xbox One X as a premium console for gamers wanting a true 4K experience.
The fact that they are selling it at a premium price, have not really improved the CPU, nor added more memory shows that they weren't targeting to get everyone on Xbox One X. It is clearly a premium Xbox One experience for 4K gamers.

For gamers from 360 days BC allows them to play games for nostalgia. Gamers wanting to play the older games don't have to re-buy them. Now-a-days these comparisons should also include the real track. Looking at the video arguments can be made for either game. But without a real track comparison you cannot say which version is truly better.

So you have played both games and done this assessment?
I would like to know what GT Racing has that Forza Motorsports doesn't. It should be very impressive considering the last GT release was in 2013. I would expect some massive innovations over Forza since PS4 Pro has been out an extra year over Scorpio and they have been developing the game for four years.
You obviously haven't played Forza or have not turned off the assists. It defaults to a way that is arcade for sure. But, once you turn off the default assists it is all realistic.
Microsoft has two flavours of Forza... Motorsports and Horizon. Motorsports is a racing sim, Horizon is an arcade game.
