MS pulled the plug on old consoles just like every other vendor does... But unlike the other vendors Microsoft is offering backwards compatibility to play OG and 360 XB games on their latest console without having to re-buy them.

I bought some OG xbox games digitally on my 360 when they offered the titles early last generation.
Those purchases came through to my Xbox One today! Microsoft saving me money by not having to buy something I already own. Seems logical, but not true on some other platforms. Microsoft is setting a really good bar for BC. Hopefully the other platforms follow suit.
That is very impressive. Enhancing games from the previous generation to work even better on the second iteration of consoles this generation!
This is what I expect from game vendors. They made a lot of money on these four games. I don't want to have to buy a re-mastered version. I want to play the original with modern benefits. Kudos to the publishers of all four games.

I just got Switch last week finally!
It is a really fun device. I can see why it is successful. It is essentially the console you can take with you anywhere. small and portable enough that I can carry it around. But, I also see why PS4 and XB1 are still important too. Essentially:

1) I don't want to play the same game over and over again for the next X years
