Horizon is not a sim, it is a arcade racer. Forza Motorsports is the sim.
Forza Motorsports is a driving simulator and Forza Horizon is a arcade driving game. I wish people would quit comparing them with each other. They are two very different driving games.
And this article.... Again should separate arcade and simulators. There should not be a single driving genre. Driving sims are meant to as closely as possible simulator real world driving. arcade driving games take the shackles of reality off and are all about fun.

GamePass was a collection of old games and lower scoring games when it launched.
Steadily the game quality of day one games has improved as GamePass has grown. There will be a top off point, but the MS games coming to GamePass are rating better and better. The last four MS games put on gamepass console were Wasteland 3, Gears Tactics, Gears 5 Hivebusters expansion, Sea of Theives Expansion, and now Psycho...
Also, maybe it really doesn't matter. A good game is a good game. Longer load times does not affect the quality of the game in my books. Load times are gravy features. I booted up my PS3 and X360 a few days ago to play some older stuff that can't be played on the newer consoles. Talk about long load times. Just go back there and you will see what long load times really are.
Not sure what the logic in comparing PS5 to PS3 is?
PS3 was a very expensive console in its first year of release, and was difficult to develop for, limiting the number of games for it.
I would be more interested and have already seen comparisons to PS2, Sony's best ever selling console!
Watched the trailer and it looks pretty good, but there is no way I pick this up on day one. Will wait til it is out a few months and goes on sale. Bought CoD Cold War last year on one of the sales in mid-December, regretted it as the game kept freezing on the night infiltration level.
Looks like this year I don't see any MP games that are must haves on day one. Battlefield will be typically buggy, same with CoD... Halo will wait and see based on reviews.

This is a developer choice, not an XB choice. I have no clue why developers are choosing more pixels over framerate for cross platform games.
Agreed, both Spider-man games were very well done by insomniac. It is amazing how super hero games can be if the right studio does them. Before Insoniac Spider-man games were laughable quality.

Personally, I would like Sony to pick things up a bit. They started the gen well, but it looks like they are going to coast until at least early next year.
MS is making it easier to play your games on the device you prefer to play those games. They have native versions for PC and XB Series but if you want to play the game on other systems as well.
I don't see why people think that consoles are "must own" devices. That is like saying to buy a Toyota you have to own a Prius.
While Sony is saying you have to own a PS5 to play Sony games and Nintendo is saying you have to own a Switch to play N...
