Even better sales for Switch.
This is not really about encryption. Even if a file is encrypted you can still access the file, work to decrypt it (hackers provide tools to decrypt decrypted files all the time), and replace it with a modded file. By tracking everything on a server, you have to hack the server and modify the data in the servers which is next to impossible if the developer does things right.
Developers aren't lazy on this, they are just using the best practice in ensuring data cannot ...
You've obviously never played the Forza Horizon games if that is your thoughts.
Each game has a lot more features, a lot more events and things to do. Playground has dramatically changed each game and each game is a flood of new things to do and new gameplay changes. I have Forza Horizon 2 thru 4 on my consoles, I still don't feel like I have completed the games. There is always more I can do it seems.
If you like arcade racing games then playi...
@Orchard
I took three years off of Call of Duty. Last year I bought Cold War because the campaign looked interesting.
It didn't take long for me to realize why I haven't been buying the game yearly. Pretty much is Call of Duty Modern Warfare (the first one lol) they have used the same engine and each yearly release is reskinning it and doing minor improvements to the game engine graphical fidelity and tightening controls. Then, when they release it it ...
PS5 Bloodborne free patch that increases framerate, improves resolution, load times, and takes advantage of hepatic controls please.
@JEECE
Sorry, I had not followed what the patch did and did not do. I would expect it to up the framerate, resolution, add hepatics on controls, take advantage of the NVMe drive fully, and improved visual details in the game. If it does all that it is good. That is what I am seeing as the gold star for free updates.
I completely agree with Ghosts being released on PS5. And if they want to do a marketing gimmick "Director's Cut" to get people to bu...
Or Sony could've provided a true PS5 upgrade patch for free. On PC I buy a game. When I get new hardware I install it on the new hardware and change the settings without having to pay for an upgrade. Sony is not giving us the option. They saying, "if you want a next gen version, you have to buy the new content too". How is this consumer friendly? It is great for Sony, not so great for consumers.
Also, there isn't a new game at the top of the charts. ...
At least they are showing up. Even if they don't have anything new, I think it is important for the big players to support there community events.
I don't know about that for certain.
Pac-man, Ms Pac-man, Galaga, Tetris, Minecraft, etc. All have been milked for a very long time.
@arkard
Every publisher has gone through at least one dark period where they didn't serve gamers well.
I judge every game as they release, I don't white list because they had other great games and black list because of a bad game or monetization policy.
From what I can see of Diablo II it is worth a purchase. Full regular price? Probably not.
There is still Diablo II Resurrected, Forza Horizon 5, Lost Judgement, Kena, Riders Republic, Back 4 Blood, and Halo Infinite. We already have Pyschonauts 2, Deathloop (Today), Hades, Tales of Arise.
Then continuous franchises such as Battlefield, CoD, Far Cry,
Maybe not super strong, but still lots to game with through this holiday.
I also expect a bunch of games that are currently announced for February-May to be delayed. Either to ...
Agreed. I didn't see anything wrong with the show. They brought a nice mix of both third party and first party games.
But, at the same time there was no jaw dropping news. GT, GoW, and Spider-man 2 were all expected. The biggest surprise was a Wolverine teaser on the first party side. But, I see Wolverine as Spider-man with less platforming/web slinging and more on the ground hack n slash type battles.
Honestly, the biggest surprise for me was th...
I always say....
A great game is a great game no matter who publishes or develops it.
From what I see on reviews this is a great game. Can't wait to play it on my PS5. Although I will wait a few weeks to see what kind of "bug level" the game has. LOL.
@Nakiro
So I have a few different TVs in my homes, and have both last gen and next gen consoles in the mix.
So, I have to pay extra just to play a game on one of the generations?
When I buy a game on PC it works on all PCs? Why is console different? It is ridiculous.
@TheExecutioner
First, I am still working my way through Borderlands 3 so don't need another loot fest fix. Second, there are plenty of other games...
There are a lot of studios that could've did this better....
Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, The Coalition, Any Bethesda studio, all the Ubisoft studios, etc.
Square is just turning Marvel games into yearly releases. And they aren't good releases either.
The common sense is that the current gen CPU and GPUs have more cores and are more powerful. Plus the memory and storage are faster. And the CPU and GPUs are faster as well.
Anytime you have faster and more powerful hardware it is impossible to have the previous gen hardware perform the same as current gen hardware so current gen is constrained by the previous generation.
Constraints do not come from the number of target hardware. They come from the p...
I won't be buying this game then. No publisher gets any money from me if they ship on two generations of consoles and won't give me both versions at one regular price.
PC does it so console should do it too.
I religiously log into the hub once a week to get 450,000 CR in each game still supported. Disappointed to see it go. Hopefully the new system will be good.
That's why I am not saying anything. Been too busy playing games on my XSX and PS5 this summer.
I have two XSX and one XSS.
The XSX are on two 4k TVs I own. I have a secondary home in another city. It is a 1080p 3D TV. I have the XSS there because I probably won't replace that TV anytime soon and therefore no reason to buy a XSX on a 1080p TV.
