Personally, I don't see what is so important. A 4K dashboard requires more resources that could be used for games.
It is only obvious if everyone is doing it, but, as everyone knows I don't see a lot of publishers and developers doing that.
Yup that developer has been living under a rock for the last 9 months.
Didn't both reading the article. The title said everything i need to know about the piece.
@jump_right_into_it
lol. thanks, i will download it.
haven't pid atttention to the new games on subscriptions for while now. been playing a bunch of backlog rpgs mostly.
LOL. And we didn't know that yet? There are as many "Dual-sense is amazing" articles on this site as there are "XB GamePass is amazing" articles. It is rather sad on both sides of the fence really.
Maybe you can customize master chief to look how you want?
I am not sure why people care about dollars of consoles sold. Last year at this time we had Switch, PS4 Pro and XBO X as primary selling consoles. Wii price has not changed, but PS5 and XB Series X are now the primary consoles and they are $100 more MSRP then last year's consoles. That is 25% more expensive. So a year over year increase of 10% in sales dollars could actually mean up to a 15% decline in quantities sold.
I just don't get it no matter who is on top...
I'm waiting for it to get to the right price. LOL.
Digitally, $20 or to come on PS+, PS Now or Games with Gold, or GamePass.
@Sayal jin
Because many gamers here don't understand the difference between commercial (financial) success and quantity sold at retail.
I would rather have a couple of contracts with PSN+ and GamePass with Side sales that paid me a total of $700 mln then sell 10 mln units with a average sell price of $40 making me $400 mln. The whole conversation on units sold for games is a waste of time now. Because when the game is on these subscription services we don'...
And it is currently on GamePass. It doesn't matter what subscription services it was/is on. It still got 10 mln to jump in. With the sequel getting a bigger budget, it must have been a commercial success too. You don't up the budget if it isn't a commercial success.
Personally, I am more looking forward to an Alan Wake sequel or even a re-make of the original.
@Elemental13
Nope. PS is a secondary. My primary console is XB.
Been a GamePass subscriber since a few months in to the very beginning and love it. But, it is kind of crazy how some people are too busy selling GamePass and not just letting the product speak for itself.
In this case when I read the title of the article with the word "stunning" in it, I went and read the article, watched a few you tubes on the game, and saw the one scr...
Excellent, an actual real comment about the game from someone who actually played it. Not a bunch of fanboys that read the article title and assumed there was something really special here.
It really depends on what GamePass is on the other devices. In Windows and XB it allows for game downloads and to play locally. I doubt a lot of gamers that own PS would really enjoy streaming GamePass games rather then downloading and playing them locally.
Streaming is great as a second option when you are travelling and have a high speed connection. But, when you are at home and have the hardware I doubt you would stream a lot. And instead prefer to use the local hard...
@DMgHalt
A lot of people have a hard time accepting reality.
I am not sure why people are making a big deal about 30 fps. There are a lot of GOTYs that were 30 fps. Just because a game is not 60 fps doesn't mean it can't be a great game. And judging from past Forza Horizon games that all shipped with 30 fps on day one that did not affect their scores with reviewers negatively. People think this is great for a driving game, but, nobody who has actually played the Forza Horizons would concur that 60 fps is a requirement.

@ApocalypseShadow
Yes, I should've been clearer. The vendors make money on hardware but that is not the high profit area. The high profit areas are the royalties, subscriptions, and services. I doubt any of these vendors would be in gaming if they only got the hardware profits.
Do you honestly think that Microsoft cares whether you buy an XB? Their revenue comes from sales through their digital store, gamepass, and xbox live. XB is just one device they put their games on or stream through.
Nobody make money on hardware.
Do you work for Microsoft? That is the only reason i can see for making that post.
@BrianSyphoned
Nope,it is a collectible. And I have lot of collectibles, but they are not an asset because I would never sell them.
There should be a new category of articles at N4G called "Wild Ass Speculation". This article even admits there is no real facts to know how well the game is doing financially on XB but endeavors to take other past facts, patch them together and essentially say a lot of nothing.
This doesn't even make the category of "Opinion Piece".
And of course this is Forbes. Yup, the gaming news organization that a lot of people here hate on...
