I don't know how this was a disappointment.
They brought a bunch of new games to Gamepass.
They bought two high quality studios.
They added content to existing games.
They confirmed Gears 5 for 2019.
They had Square Enix throughout the event seeing new KH3 stuff.
They showed some great footage for DMC5.
The only thing lacking was new game announcements. A...
When has MS put a specific date on Crackdown 3?
They have stated quarters and delayed, But to date, no specific date.
@Srhalo
So if a studio makes PC games that is not good for gamers or does not breed competition?
Ummmmmmmm. Logic lacking.
These are two great RPG studios. By giving them the backing of MS they can make their games better, Better games will create more competition.
How can this not be good for gamers?
Yes, cross platform play is necessary. It allows anyone to buy any device and still play online games with the full community of gamers that have that game.
It breaks down the "I should buy this console because my friends own it and we play together a lot" barrier. So that if I like Nintendo Switch as my primary console I can buy it knowing that I can play with my friends who all bought PS4's.
This reduces the need for a "console war...
Often when new consoles come out over the first year they have been outsold by pre-existing consoles. This is because many times when new consoles are released they have limited supply. This generation was an exception because we had gone nearly 10 years without a new console and consoles are almost entirely based on a PC architecture now make their components more plentiful. Even when PS3 was released, PS2 was outselling it (Which really is a testimony to how good the PS2 did).

I think the more likely is...
1) New Crackdown 3 reveal
2) Ages of Empires and Rise of Empires will release for keyboard/mouse support
3) SoT and SoD 2 Content
4) Trailer for Rare's next game
5) Obsidian acquisition
@Unreal01
Crackdown is an Xbox 360 game not Xbox Original. And it is considered one of the best cult classics from the 360 era. Everyone bought it to get the Halo 3 beta... But, it surprised people and became a cult classic.
I think pretty much every Final Fantasy after X has been less of an RPG than most AAA RPGs.
Love Ages and Rise of Nations!
More RTS = Great!
Already announced with a trailer.
Duke Nukem Forever?
Last Guardian?
Dreams?

Graphics are an important aspect of a game but not at all the most important.
There have been a lot of great games before graphics were as realistic as they are today.
Mario games, sonic games, early gran turismos, perfect dark, pac-man, centipede, galaga, astroids, legends of zeldas, final fantasy games, etc. All great games long before graphics were realistic in any way.
One of the best examples is the new G...
Ya, because everyone prefers slow framerates.
The problem I have in reviews is where they start.
If the game is made by certain developers/studios it seems like the reviews start with "This game will be a 10". Then, after they are released the real reviews come out. And then usually a few weeks after the truth of what they really are comes out. Often the truth is still 10's, but I just don't like that they are assumed to be 10's.
@stonecold3
Yes, there were several games that were put at the same resolution at the start of the gen. But as the gen progressed this has been disappearing. Developers have adjusted their strategies and target what the consoles/PCs can do.
Maybe they couldn't get true 4k on ps4 pro and decided not to gimp the xbox one x version. just like at the start of the generation no one was gimping the ps4 versions when xbox wasn't able to do true HD.
@Concertoine.
I am not sure I said they were doing good. In fact, I said the direction is the right one. But that doesn't mean they are doing good yet.
And that is the way it should be. Gaming companies trying to reach as many gamers as possible regardless of their platforms.
I would love to be able to play Uncharted, Mario, Halo, etc, on one console. Would save me a ton of money in not buying multiple consoles and simplify my TV setup (Currently 9 inputs including a HDMI switch to get enough for my TV to handle).
Honestly, I don't see Microsoft ever selling as many consoles as the competition.
Their model is gaming service based not single console based. Sony will always win the console market because they put all of the experiences to console. Same with Nintendo.
And frankly, the market is not just consoles. There are handhelds, phones, tablets, and PCs as well. consoles sell a lot but the other devices sell way more. The battle for gaming revenue has l...
Yes, you are a PS only gamer so that is to be expected.
I am not sure what you were looking for but MS covered a large gambit. The only thing they avoided was new first party game reveals. But those are usually reserved for other events. They showcased their next new game (To me, they haven't shown the campaign enough so the verdict is still out... But you were probably looking for a God of War type story, and Crackdown is not that at all... It is essentially an ove...
