Why is judging PSVR success against the PS install base pointless? That is a measure of success isn't it? Adoption % among gamers who bought PS4?

Why don't I compare PSVR sales to other VR headset sales? First, the other headsets aren't being sold on PS which makes the markets not comparable. Second, VR headset sales no matter which vendor are brutal.

VR is a great accessory, but there is not a high percentage...

I do applaud Sony for its games. Their first party games have been amazing as usual this generation.

But, PSVR cannot be considered a success when less than 5% of PS owners own it after 2.5 years on the market.

I feel that I am a core gamer and bought PS Now so that I could play core games while I travel. I have the PC client installed on my high end laptop so I thought I would use it a lot while I travel

The reality I found is that when I am travelling it is either for work or for pleasure to see places. When travelling for work I look at it as an opportunity to get ahead of work and have little time to game. When travelling for pleasure to see places, I want to see the places...

But, they did make it an Apple hardware only system which kills it in my eyes.

People really have to think of how this will benefit them.

I have PS Now and just turned auto renew of my subscription off. Not because it is no good. But because I don't use it enough to justify it.

There are people where this model will work really well. But I am one of those people who will prefer to download and play my games local while it is still possible.

LOL. That looked like Ironman for Kinect! I think I will continue my hard pass on VR for consoles. My Oculus Rift on PC just continues to gather dust.

The controller for Google is a con if there is no touch screen controller. I am not going to pack a controller around with me as I travel.

fixed your fix.

I did not see anything significant here that really makes it compelling over PS Now or xCloud.

I have every Ubisoft and Capcom game this generation, I have not payed for a single microtransaction in a Ubisoft game and did not feel harassed in having to.

None of you comments talk about the quality of Ubisoft's games this generation. I will agree that none of the games are exceptional but they were all solid games that were engaging, solid graphics, excellent controls, and solid experiences from start to end.

At the start of the generation Capco...

How is this "Giving up"?

This is classic Microsoft, Embrace, Enhance, and Extend business model.

Embrace Nintendo by offering them XBL support, Enhance it later through XB Play Anywhere and maybe even Nintendo Games on GamePass, Extend their reach through the entire Nintendo community so they becoming addicted to Live.

It is a win-win for both... Broaden their gaming communities and sell more games/services where they both cr...

I completely disagree.

Capcom has had good versions of their new games for sure... Monster Hunter, RE7, and DMC5. And the RE2 remake is awesome.

But their start was awful this generation with Street Fighter V. Although a great fighting game it was not designed well at the start. Also, their Deadrising remasters were disasters. And the RE and DMC remasters were just average with no new value other then pay for them on new consoles.

Not at all.

I like the idea of Stadia and it will be a good product as Google usually makes decent products. XB is not at all threatened as they are going down a similar path and are farther ahead in gaming in general. Sony, still has key franchises that gamers love so they will be fine. And Nintendo could take a "can't beat them, join them" approach so they aren't in trouble either.

I don't get how companies keep getting away with re-releasing these games generation after generation. Sure they are good and I like revisiting them, but I refuse to re-buy them.

If they don't come to Backwards compatibility I will just play them on the previous device.

I can see it now... Castlevania in 60 FPS 4K.... Looks at TV... Exactly the same as 720P and 30 FPS.

Nope. I have a high speed 500 Mbps connection to my main home, a 50 Mbps connection via 4G to my summer home, and all my phones are 4G, so I can stream adequately 95% of my time.

I have a PS4, XBO X, Switch, and PC. I also subscribe to EA Access, Game Pass, PS Now, XBL Gold, PSN Plus, and have a Steam Account. I won't miss out on anything significant. I used to buy games all the time, now I just buy the services and it is way cheaper. If there i...

This stuff is just inevitable. Exclusivity platforms are a thing of the past.

Onlive was simply before its time. Quite often there are techs that are too early.

But, now, 5G is coming in the next couple years, OneWeb is getting ready for broadband satellite internet, and broadband wired connections continue to get faster and faster. Pretty soon, the broadband internet will be ubitious everywhere (Within next 5-10 years).

Games have always been a bargain compared to other forms of entertainment.

Go out for a night on the town and you will easily drop hundreds of dollars for eight hours of entertainment.

There are really two type of game experiences. The first, is more of an artform and story telling experience as is in these 10 hour SP games. The other is more like a sport in that you compete with friends and people around the globe. Both provide equal value in my mind ...

This is not at all pro-consumer nor pro competition. This is the easy way to try and get market share.

No platform/store should have game exclusivity. It coerces gamers to buy into a platform/store simply because the content is not available anywhere else. By agreeing to this Ubisoft has lost trust points in me, and Epic never had them to begin with. I probably won't buy the Division 2 on any platform because of this. And Epic can continue to stay on my blacklist. ...
