Bleeding Edge is an attempt to improve the action game genre not FPS.
Microsoft should pick up Crystal Dynamics and have them build Perfect Dark and Tomb Raider games. Then they should pickup Sega.
Also, they should start a new studio called Rare Recall and build old Rare IPs.
I think Bungie would be a bad purchase. The Bungie of Microsoft was an amazing studio. The Bungie that is now independent is not as good as it was when making Halo games.
I get that they wanted to do their own thing. But lets be honest... The mechanics and gameplay of Destiny is pretty much their halo engine adapted to a new IP. When I play Destiny, I feel Halo without a real engaging story. Cool gameplay but lacks an engaging story.
Acquisition is the quickest way to get what they want. You look at the studios they picked and acquired.
They are solid studios that are known for building quality games. Building from the ground up is a long effort. They needed quality studios quickly and that's what they have.
And at the same time they are building from the ground up with The Initiative. And Microsoft essentially built Playground Games. They have never made another game other ...
Will buy both the next Xbox and PS (already have Switch) so I can play all the best games on both systems.
Don't care if Halo is a system seller or not.
And Nintendo is dominating Japan....
So what?
Yes, that would end me purchasing games.
Most generations start with $500 or $600 consoles.
I doubt there will be either at $450 unless the media drive is removed.
New consoles are high demand and low volume in the first year. Neither has a reason to put a $450 console out because both will sell out in the Christmas season they are released.
Not every game is about epic, cinematic stories... Sea of Thieves is just a lot of fun believe it or not. I play it not because it is a perfect 10, I play it for entertainment and fun. Sometimes it is nice to get away from the constant dying in games like Dark Souls, the intensity of something like Uncharted / Last of Us, and just have a bunch of unadultrated fun playing a video game.
It is like some people think their favorite racing game is GT and Forza Motorsports whe...
That would be a dream come true. Lost Odyssey was a big reason why I liked X360.
Note. I don't think Microsoft really cares. Probably around 6 million of those are Game Pass monthly subscribers.
I just play it on Backwards Compatibility. Don't need a lame port to this generation.
I said Death Stranding is the highlight for Sony in the next year. (E3 + 12 months).
And I will buy it Day One!
I liked the XB conference. It focused on games. And it mostly kept that focus on the games for the next 12 months. As an XB owner they showed me that there will be a lot to play from September on through the next E3.
Sony has me in the dark right now. Doesn't look like much is happening on the First Party side for this next 12 months. They have a bunch of games in the pipe... The Last of Us II, Dreams, Ghost, etc... But no ship dates... And many of these games ...
Specs mean nothing without them being tied to the real world capabilities.
A perfect Example was the Sony Cell processor. Spec-wise it was capable of 1080P and 60 FPS.... In reality very few games achieved that on the PS3.
Completely disagree.
Gamers have complained about MS putting out quality first party content for literally the best decade.
In this E3 we saw some of the new studios stepping in with content and a lot that will ship before the next E3...

Microsoft, please keep doing what you are doing with GamePass. It keeps getting better and better.
Please don't screw this up!
@thatguyhayat
I buy devices to play games on in context of how I want to play.
For example, me and a friend sit on a huge couch in front of a setup I have with two 55" TVs and all the modern consoles to play co-op games. I also prefer living room play... Then, I have a den... In there it is just PCs. Then I go out and I only carry a phone, when I travel in a plane I carry only a tablet, etc. There are many places I want to play games. A console ...
Google Stadia is a doomed service. There will be people that like it, but without download capability Stadia is just another streaming service. And just another streaming service is not going to succeed on its own. For gamers to buy into services they have to give you options. Stadia only allows you to Stream and nothing else...
Your network has a bad day and Stadia is dead to you. My network doesn't have a bad day often, but if it does and I am getting some rare t...
Double Fine has never had exceptional game sales.
They are known for creative games, not 10 million sellers.
