I agree that there was a small load time in there. But it was impressive no matter how you look at it. They changed the entire environment in literally just a few seconds.

I was sold a few years back when they showed the E3 gameplay demo. Naughty Dog is an unbeatable studio. As far as I am concerned they are the top studio in the world second to absolutely no one.
If it is an update I am in with cross-buy or smart delivery. If they charge I am out. It was a good game not a great one.
Agreed, Polygon doesn't see the art here. They are just looking for reasons to hate the game.

Sony brought a lot of great games to the show for sure. And I can see the fast SSD really adds to games. There are a lot of new opportunities for games this generation!
R&C was a very impressive showing of those new features.
I really have to say this because I really am not a fan of simple remasters. You look at all the remaster (not remakes or re-imaginings) and they are simple ports to the next console some of them probably only took a few weeks to months for a small team to do. Yet they package them up and put them out again and in many cases charge an outrageous price. Sony is being smart (aka scamming gamers) here by adding another expansion, but why can't people that bought the PS4 version get that e...
I don't know how many Namco Museum games I have bought, but will be a sucker and buy these ones too!
The only disappointment here is no Ms. Pac-man.

Resolution matters on bigger TVs. You get to 65" and higher and the TVs start to look grainy at HD resolution. Get to 80" and higher and 4K TVs start to look grainy. So, 8K even has a purpose as the TVs are larger.
So Native 4K is not a waste of effort. There are many people with TVs 65" and above.
Personally, I don't get the people complaining about the Godfall graphics. To me, it is clearly next gen.
Definitely this showed the world how the new fast SSD will apply to gaming!

Sony did label some games 2021. Not sure if that means this one is farther out. Just unclear.
I found the labelling of the games a bit confusing.... They didn't say spider-man was exclusive, although I assume it is... They labelled some games for holiday 2020, but did not label some games holiday 2020 that are going to be there, then they labelled some games 2021, and no labels at all on others.

I felt Sony did really good today. And I didn't see PSVR as an accessory. Did not know they said they weren't going to talk about it anytime soon.
There is nothing wrong with any post I have made on the PS5 show. They were just what I thought. In one post I rated the event 8/10. Another one, I cannot wait for GT, so you can't really say I am "having issues" or "I know his post history". That is a bunch of stupid BS....

I don't remember seeing one in the trailer. They labelled some games for launch, some for 2021, and no dates on others. I did not see them put a date on R&C.
(btw. Absolutely loved the trailer and the gameplay.... When it does come out I am in)
The interesting part was the deafening silence on PSVR.

Cerny is marketing just like every other senior person in these company's. And yes it may be quicker to develop traditional things faster on the new PS5 it probably isn't going to be a ton faster for large scale AAA games that are more about pushing the envelope.
I am not saying spider-man is going to be bad, but just don't expect it to be a massive upgrade from the fir...

Imagine a game setting in real-world cities using this data as well. Using real time weather and day/night. Very collio.
