Ya, Bungie has fallen a long ways. There are Destiny die-hards out there, but to me, when I played Destiny, it was just the Halo engine in a new environment, with some new MP modes, and a lot of customization, without a real story.
Appealing to online gamers that like games like Fornite, Overwatch, PUBG, Apex, etc. but not very appealing to gamers who like the single player experience more.
Agreed, the online events are just as good. A physical presence costs more and that money could be used to make games.
But, I do like the idea of a week set aside to talk about what every vendor is doing gaming-wise though. Don't care if it is called E3, State of Gaming week, Gaming Week or whatever, just would like a week where vendors sum up what they are doing over the next 12 months so I can kind of plan what to buy, what to wait on, and what not to buy.

I will take framerate and resolution over a few seconds of load time every time.
But, to be honest load times will matter in some games probably. So, there is the raw performance advantage for GPU/CPU and some memory for XSX, but the much higher raw performance of PS5 SSD will also have advantages in certain situations.
Good to see both are competing hard with each other. It is spurring further innovation.
Add every game that has 3 or more mainline games while you are at it.
I fundamentally disagree though. There are games that keep going forever. And that is fine because fans expect them.
What I really want to see from Ubisoft is some new IPs that go to new places. Keep giving us Far Cry, but also give us some new games that are worth talking about.
This is just a true and regular statement.
I doubt that 3rd parties will do much different on PS5 then XSX or PC.
Sony can afford to buy a few third party exclusives, but the reality is that developers develop in a way that they can easily port most games to XB, PS, and PC primarily. Some develop to port to Switch as well.
For once, though the lowest common denominator is PC going into the next generation. I am sure by the end of next...

And this is exactly why everyone should question anything they read on the Internet.
While there are many reputable news sources that I would trust, there are many that have an agenda (Fanboy or financial agenda).

So, if I get what you are saying they free memory so you can do more "game" stuff in memory which is logical enough. Not really sure how much of a benefit this will truly translate into, but it is more tangible then anything else I have heard to date.
I still want to know what the specific amazing thing a faster SSD (then that of XSX) will let gamers do.
Would anyone please answer this? I get the elimination/reduction of load times... But what will it change in the actual gameplay? Or ability to render? Or ability to interact? Or sound?
I honestly just want to know.
Any spec where Vendor 1 Spec A is greater then Vendor 2 Spec A; by any more then 10% will allow it to differentiate in some way typically.
PS5 will have dramatic differences in load times. 5 seconds on XSX will probably take 1 second on PS5. And that will allow them to do things. I have yet to hear a single thing that is going to substantially change gameplay on PS5's faster SSD though.

I am just commenting that no matter which way is better means nothing without great games.
Really I am just tired of BC articles.
It is obvious which company is doing this feature better.
But, it won't mean much in the grand scheme of things. At the end of the day, purchases of consoles are based on games, and while some games have been shown, neither console has really differentiated itself on that front yet.

To me, the games will tell us the difference, not a bunch of specs and marketing.
There is no console war. It only exists in fanboy heads.
For there to be a war one company has to die or bow out. Sony is in the best position so they will not bow out. Nintendo is doing great so they won't leave, and MS is doing good enough that they are not going to leave (In fact, they have expanded their gaming presence with more studios).
Thats why their use to be console wars. Coleco, intellivision, Atari, and Sega... All released consoles ...
To me, it is hard to judge when one team hasn't showed up to the stadium yet. And on the other team we've only seen have their team.
I like the pre-orders beginning, but...
1) I haven't seen enough about either Sony or MS' console to make a decision yet on whether I get one or both
2) I haven't seen enough gameplay yet to judge the games
So what does that have to do with an article comparing the two console features?
Let's put it this way....
If the article was comparing multiplayer feature of PSN and XBL and I said, "I buy consoles for single player games" would that be relevant?
