My dear, did you just try to prove the existence of God through the use of your cleavage?

Completely agreed. This and Mass Effect 2 are two of my favorite games this year. Probably this generation as well. I can't imagine any game topping either of these experiences. Uncharted 2, Persona 3 & 4, and Silent Hill 2 are the only ones that can even come close. Heavy Rain is an amazing experience that I couldn't imagine anyone missing. If this is what the future has in store for us, I can't wait for more.

Note to anybody interested, Heavy Rain will consume you body and soul. Make sure you set aside a weekend to play it. You will not be able to stop. I have a friend over right now, and am already counting down the seconds until he goes home so I can play more Heavy Rain. The story is just amazing! So much better than Indigo Prophecy. What a ride!

Bayonetta, Mass Effect 2, and Heavy Rain are all early contenders. I hope each one scores a nomination this year. Again, it's too early to say what looks like GotY material, but those three right there deserve every award they get. 'Nuff said. This year is proving to be one of the best years for us gamers. I'm soaking it all in. I'm having too much fun to worry about GotY right now.

lol I'll take the interactivity of Heavy Rain over a movie. Wow. Just no. I'd watch a movie inspired by Heavy Rain, but not based on it. I'd be wondering when I'd finally be able to take control. Be careful Sony. You might want to hold onto the rights after the bump in sales it has been receiving. I think this game will resonate well with an older audience. My folks are even interested in trying it out.

Why is it that scores like these never make it past 50 degrees?

I'm glad some critics understand what David Cage is trying to do. Some are still grading on preconceived notions of what a game is, which is arrogant to say the least. Especially since Heavy Rain is invariably the same game as the text based games of yore. HR is the realization of what games should be. Not to say games like Mass Effect 2 and Halo don't have their own place in such a medium. Games come in all shapes and sizes, and I'm glad to see some critics are beginning to see this. This is...

Yeah, there's been a plethora of perfect scores lately. I'm amazed quite honestly. I hate how MetaCritic weighs individual scores. It's the only reason the game is still at a 89 when GameRankings is pushing the 92 milestone (definitely will after these last couple of reviews). I really hope this is as good as they make it out to be. Easily my most anticipated game of the year.

Did anyone honestly expect this? There's been a lot of perfect scores for this game lately. Wow wow wow. This year has turned out to be pretty expensive: Bayonetta, Darksiders, Mass Effect 2, BioShock 2, Heavy Rain. O_O I fear March. I'm still catching up from last year.

I see now why Sony won't advertise FFXIII. MS is doing it for them. Its like taking Halo (if it ever went multiplat) and advertising the PS3 version. Well, at least they tried. I wonder if their advertising campaign included Google Ads: would make sense.

Wow, I love Naughty Dog. I have yet to see another studio care as much for their fanbase. This I will support. Keep it up Naughty Dog! :D

Looking forward to Alan Wake. Honestly though, it'd be cool for once if the movie developers were like, "Hey, I hope this could become a game someday." Not as a movie-tie in, no. But a game inspired by the movie with a full development cycle like most other AAA companies do (read 2-3 years. Video games should not be treated like a lesser form. Especially since they are taking up a large market share of the Entertainment industry.

Sure is. Probably my favorite character thus far this generation. Him and Nanako both.

No idea. Been wondering the same thing. Should be up there as its at 50 degrees. Maybe mods had a problem with it. *shrugs*

EDIT: 60 now. Hmmm... goes to check front page again.

Please wait to post this review. Game Informer will release a full text version on their site. There is no need to enter it twice. My guess is that the full review will be made available around Tuesday next week, or the following week. I think we can wait. No worries. The score's not going anywhere. lol

On another note, if you are eager to approve a story. We still have PlayStation: the Official Magazine's review (5/5, Editor's Choice Award) circulating through the pending sectio...

I'm incredibly confused. Why are people reporting the story. I'm not going to change the title. The Game Has Changed was directly used in the review as a headline no less. Why the hell shouldn't I use it as a title. I fail to understand these people's logic. I fixed the description, removing spoilers and cutting the text despite there being no credible online source with full text.

Besides, N4G has always used forums as sources as a way to publish scans. The scans are the proof, ...

An equally deserving award for an incredibly ambitious game. February 23rd cannot come soon enough. This is exactly what I wanted to hear, and if everything PtOM says is to be believed, than I think we have yet another defining game for our generation. Congratulations Cage! I wish you well in your future.

As yet another who's played Bayonetta, trust me, you won't be disappointed. The game is one of the best action games I've ever played. I love the satire, and overly sexualized nature of it all. Bayonetta is quite the game let me tell you. However, I would not disregard Dante's Inferno. 360 Magazine UK, Play Gamer, and The Guardian all had a large amount of praise for the game. The whole article focuses on the positive aspect of the reviews, and implies that those who have dismissed DI previou...

As far as I know the PS3 is completely region free. So if you would like, you can play the PAL version on any PS3.

Jesus, maybe some people want video games to change. A matter of fact, I'm sure most due. I'm sick and tired of the rut we're in. I'm glad QD cares enough to try and change the industry. I'll be supporting their efforts come February 23rd. Whoever wrote this article has done a disservice to gamers at large. What about our voice? Is yours so important that Heavy Rain must now be slammed just because others wish the industry to change. It's a change we NEED if video games are to ever branch out...

Of course they would be the first to review the game. SCEE has been marketing HR heavily in the region. At least in terms of media awareness. I'm guessing they're hoping word of mouth will help sell this title. Probably the best way considering the new grounds they're trying to cover. European sites and print magazines will be the first to review it. For everyone else, I'm sure there's an embargo of some sort.
